  1. Found a fix to sturdy the ladder. 2 matchsticks affixed to the back of the ladder provides a nice sturdiness. Quite happy atm with it
  2. Updates! Sanded the base and slapped on paints! Hag's got Windows now ..!

    Photo box

Update to this: the LED underplate is horribly unqualified for miniature photography. we now use it to take photo's of dice instead xD The rest of the box is great.
  4. Alot of spackle layers later, it looks like the hills are becoming what I'm looking for. Adding a ladder to the front part as an extra support for tipping over, just in case. Just thinking how I can strengthen it, but I'll think of something :)
  5. Looks great! =) Quick question, was there still room for me in this round or was it to late? ;) never got a reply on that.
  6. Thanks! :D apologies for the poor photo's, still experimenting with the camera ;)
  7. This one stood half painted for many months, due to the severe gaps on the pre-assembled mini I lost hope it could be as awesome as the ones I kept seeing on here. I'm glad i finished her, proud of the result. Behold!
  8. Don''t forget the yearly contests here on this very forum..! Check the stickies above this post :)
  9. I used these tools (wife replies ;) ). The point makes it possible to make perfect dots in different size.
  10. with 10-20 kg, sending as close as our neighbouring country Germany, that'll be €34,- :o oof =)
  11. Glitterwolf, if a new round starts could you tag me? =) I'm wondering what the costs will be for shipping and such, but all in all this sounds like something fun to participate in. I'm from the Netherlands btw for those who didn't know =)
  12. The tools that come with this paintset. it's a sort of metal hooks where the droplet keeps hanging on the end and lands (almost) perfectly round on the surface you're painting =) There's different sizes aswell, quite a nice find imho.
  13. My wife loved this project. It started out as an albino fish, but quickly after turned into a koi carp. With some fun basing, it resulted in this. She figured out a great way to make round dots as you can see..!
  14. Having been cursed with wobble feet, Baba Yaga asked, no.. Begged me for a custom base! But where will I find such a big base, I thought... I dove in the metal scraps at work, and retrieved a nicely sized monitor foot / stand. And so, it begins... Phase 1: cutting the extra's off: done Phase 2: filling the center hole: done! Phase 3: apply more wood filler and dry fit the legs: done! Phase 4: sanding the base : done! Now, time to dry and go on a holiday. To be continued :)
  15. Very smooth transitions there, well done!
  16. Thanks all ^__^ The spellcaster was definitely my favorite in this bunch :) I just realised you can't properly see the magic stone thing it's next to, I've added another pic of it :)
  17. I tried a new brand of superglue a few days ago. It was a replacement of the old one I used, nothing different I thought. Well.. it turns out the first droplet shoots out instead of dropping out. Gently squeezed towards the bottom of my mini, aiming to glue it down to the base, and BAM! My entire mini was covered in superglue :o Cleaned out what i could, just let the rest dry as is, but damn. That sucked. Not to mention my hand being covered, who knew superglue feels hot when it's attaching? I do now!
  18. Spent more time basing then painting on these guys! Happy on the results!
  19. Well now. After spending several hours of a quiet day reading through these posts and enjoying the pictures and random tidbits, I think I'll have to see if I can get myself on that list next time it goes about =) I have some interesting things that are being wasted, but can definitely find a good home elsewhere..!
