  1. Finished my Yuan'ti in one 3 hour session (ex. priming). Not that happy about the OSL on the firewall, but alas. It gets the idea across, for this figure it'll work.
  2. It'll do for a small mammoth indeed, quite pleased on how the base turned out aswell, thanks for your kind words :)
  3. I tried a new (cheap) primer on this guy, and it seems to work well. Wasn't that enthused when I saw his size, but happy now that he's painted up with a nice result (if I say so myself)
  4. I love the slimy-ness coming from those tentacles!
  5. With the amount of warnings to the NSFW-ness I was almost dissapointed to see such a statue-like statue, haha xD Looks amazing, great marble effects!
  6. Looks great, hah. Awesome character and personality, high str low int mugger! Are you gonna make a mold and try & sell it to reaper or making for yourself and heading off to paint next?
  7. Ye Greenstuff world has amazing stuff. My leap into Green stuff will come. For now i'm just filling potholes with Liquid Green Stuff xD GSW is quite an investment, but someday I'll order a nice roller pin from it I think :)
  8. Looks amazing Glitter, really nice work ! (y)
  9. Thanks for the many, many advices everyone! I'll be sure to read this thread over multiple times. I've got cork coming, will look into those tiny shells as I've recently done a Kraken (re-used Squid kid's toy) and looking to put something on his body and on a base to complete it :) Will experiment sometimes on Epoxy's, but for right now that's still a step to far :) I've read that birdseed is also a very good basing material, haha :) Will let you know how the attempts go once I get around to basing something soonish, waiting for the chinese cork to arrive first x
  10. Cool! That explains, hah :) Can't wait for the real finished pictures in that case :D
  11. Nice! Good work man :) Could possibly improve it with a black wash (for the wing details) and a Matte finish instead of glossy. You could leave a few parts glossy, like eyes, to emphasize the difference in material there.
  12. on some very big packages they did split it in 2, but would have to be alot.
  13. Was about to say, Chinese packages usually send it out this way. If it's wrapped in a whole roll of tape that smells like paint, it's definitely china xD Aliexpress or the likes.
  14. Damn, I've just read this topic and the wonders you're achieving with Green Stuff are amazing. Looks great man, I love the style and the colourful bunch you're making out of them. These goblins could live amongst alice and the white rabbit the way I see it :)
  15. She's overwhelmed with the kindness in these replies, haha :)
  16. Hurray! Finally you get to enjoy the dozens of figures and glueing and washing! and finally painting! :D Good luck surviving the rest of your workday, haha. Gonna take off or sticking with it? :D
  17. She likes to draw, and loves this compliment :)
  18. Not her first ever, just of this bones4 :) it's her 4th or 5th I think
  19. My wife started her paints aswell, starting with her favourit of the whole Bones 4 : the Sabretooth Pug. She's eager to hear opinions :)
  20. Bones4 Roper. This guy screamed to be painted, chewing the head off the Bones4 painting progress for me :)
  21. Speedpaint on this guy, will retouch a few small bits when I'm home. Very interesting model, couldn't restrain myself once I put it together xD
  22. I had seen the cork and superglue warning before, I'm aiming to use PVA glue to stick it. Thanks for that heads up :) Pinning is something I haven't done before, so I guess if my surface isn't flat enough to glue a mini to (?), then I'll see to attach something on the top that is flat enough. Pinning, especially on feet of 28mm mini's, kind of scares me xD I'll try to get some friendly drinkers to hand me their winecorks, and just ordered 2 A4 sheets of 0,95mm height cork from China, let's see if this can work to start it off with :) Can't find those stamps yo
  23. Hi guys :) I've been painting for about 1,5 years atm, but basing is something I haven't properly done so far yet. I've usually smeared some texture paint on the base, covered it in a drybrush and called it done. I'm experimenting with new options atm, recently done a Magma base according to a youtube vid, which turned out good. However, I'm seeing many vids and many bases here with add on material. I'm guessing it's cork? Something to create the rocks you see them standing on, or the carpet under their feet, or the pitfall trap they're leaning on, any of this.
