  1. Insane! But it is actually even more unsettling this way, to be honest. What is in that soup....
  2. I painted this centaur as part of an ensemble of miniatures that represent the PCs in my current 5e Odyssey of the Dragonlords campaign, which is set in a fantasy version of ancient Greece. The miniature is meant to represent a centaur druid. The mini is nice an easy to paint with lots of details that can be picked out. The other miniatures are SKU: DSM7537 Angel and SKU: DSM7437 Rogue from Dark Sword and a siren I found on Etsy and show our human fighter, half-elf rogue and siren bard respectively. The angel miniature actually comes with wings and a sword which I removed and replaced with a spear.
  3. No, this is definitely a good advice, the contrast could be even stronger. I just reached a point with this mini were I fear to mess it up again!
  4. The tentacles at mouth are hyper realistic, like earthworms.
  5. Not a Reaper mini so I hope it is ok posting it here. With this Pit Fiend I tried to replicate an effect I saw somewhere on the internet. Essential he should look as if a furnace is burning inside of him. So instead of going from dark to light color, I put the light colors into the recesses and went darker on the more raised details. I was working for an effect like smoldering coal, were the red hot part is in the center and you have dark coal and ash on the outside.
  6. Nice popping colors!
  7. Great abs! Both are serious abour their workouts and you managed to highlight that!
  8. Great fur! I also like their evil smirking expressions.
  9. Wow! Those two could be characters straight out of a discworld novel.
  10. Finally my Tengu Trio is complete! I like the staff of the wizard, it looks as if it has a life of its own.
  11. I really love this mini and this is another great version of her. The eyes stand out!
  12. Here is the second member of the Tengu Trio: The Warrior, plus a picture of the brothers (sisters?!) adventuring together. To give me an idea of the colors I could use, I looked at pictures of the four heavenly kings often depicted in temples, who always have fierce expressions but are dressed quite colorful.
  13. The muscle tone on the Valkyrie is outstanding!
  14. Wow, thank you so much Derek! Your kind feedback is very inspiring and motivating to me. I will try my best on the other two members of this awesome trio.
  15. A quick one! This is Valeros, the iconic pathfinder fighter, going crazy. A speedy paint with lots of glazes and washes for a player from one of my groups.
  16. Impressive! I am currently working on a dragon (Narthrax) and this is very helpful and inspiring.
  17. Thematically I absolutely love Tengus. I finally have the time to paint the Tengu trio, starting with the Rogue. Apart from being great sculpts individually, I really like how these three miniatures work together, making me want to do an all-Tengu adventuring party one day.
