  1. I bought these 16 converted nurgle warriors for my Swampstalkers army and added two Reaper minis (battleguard golem 77169 and Anval Thricedamned, Evil Warrior 77055) to get 3 bases with 6 warriors each.
  2. supervike here? welcome to the forum :) thanks guys!
  3. Thanks guys, much appreciate your kind words! Few pics of recent additions you might have seen on the army pic, if you looked closely: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90848-plague-drones/ These are my Mind-screeches, while the original model looks like this: I've finally used a Reaper mini, Dark Young. It will represent a Portal of Despair, slowly moving construct. 3-legged cthulhu monster looked perfect as a substitution :) https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90847-77516-dark-young/ More to come :)
  4. 3 GW nurgle drones. I didn't put their plaguebearer riders on tchem, because I will use them as Mind-screeches, levitating spell-casting monsters in my Swampstalkers army :)
  5. Here's my version of Reaper's Dark Young for all you Cthulhu fans out there, though for me it is a Portal of Despair from my Swampstalkers army :)
  6. Basing finished :) 2500 points ready for battle! This is going much faster than I expected!
  7. The hero guy distracted me from painting a unit :)
  8. Still painting reapers... I thought it would be a good time to paint their hero, whose name I can't recall at the moment, with them.
  9. Another busy afternoon. More reapers were prepared for painting, and if you look closely, there are two Reaper minis among GW chaos guys. Also, there's Dark Young from Reaper. I haven't decided his role in my army yet :)
  10. 2 on a base? Not a bad idea, but I have three, so I'd have one additional which I could not use elsewhere in the army. And I don't feel like buying and painting another one :) Today I checked the colour scheme for Reapers, powerful close combat unit. They are monsters (like everything in that army), but I'm using chaos warriors converted to nurgle followers (not by me, I bought them). It's fun but also challenging to search for different schemes on different units while trying to keep the coherent army look
  11. I sat down this afternoon to start a unit of Soulflayers, flying cavalry. Well, big brushes and washing/glazing/drybrushing made me not only start, but also finish painting them. Wow, big surprise for me! Also, they don't really fit the gaming base, lol. So, I don't have a unit of Soulflayers, but I have 3 mind-screeches, flying spell-casting monsters. If you recall the cthulhish model from earlier, I already have one of those and I don't need more than three... So, the first one will now be ... Not sure yet, something else :)
  12. Based and finished these two guys, taking my army to 1500 points or so! The original Terror and a link to my version: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90680-rotigus/ The original Horror and a link to my version: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90679-witness/ Terror and Horror, I know, right? I didn't come up with these names
  13. This is some variant of the Great Unclean One, called Rotigus. I will use it as Terror in my Swamptalkers. He's a big... fellow…
  14. Witness from the small Polish company Siren Miniatures. I painted it in one evening for my Swampstalkers army. It will be Horror, spell-casting individual.
  15. Life has served me some distractions, as it usually does, but here I am again. The plan for this evening was to finish the big guy (called Terror) and paint the smaller one (called Horror) from the start. Calling them done, yay! It will be a significant increase in my army size (points wise) after I get them on bases.
  16. Yeah, there is something about a view of a fully painted army, at least for me. No matter what game, miniatures or painting style/quality.
  17. Two more units finished, yay! Original Scarecrows look like this... … while my Swamp Crows may be looked at here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90505-goblin-warriors-hobbit/ There are no Mantic minis of Blood Worms for comparison with my Swamp Worms: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90504-plaguebearers/ I've reached another milestone (1000 points)! Actually, I have around 1100 points without any upgrades or magic items. What's most important, I'm having a blast building this army!
  18. Another unit for my Swampstalkers I was looking for a suitable alternative for Scarecrows, the cheapest zombie-like unit in my army. These goblins from the Hobbit game looked like a good choice - gnarly, twisted bodies with some wounds, smaller in size than plaguebearers I used for a slightly stronger unit of blood worms (my other infantry unit). And I got them very cheap, second-hand - they already came primed white to me, which saved some time. Lots of different washes, picked some details (mainly eyes and wounds/warts - both with GW blood effect). Swampy base of course, as this is the main theme for my army. Cut some of the models legs off to create an effect of them rising from the mud.
  19. I will use these GW Plaguebearers as Blood Worms in my Kings of War army. As with nurglings earlier, I painted lots of different skin tones to get some variety within the unit, hoping they still work well together. Table-top painting, not caring much about all the details or super quality.
  20. I've based everything I painted... Back to painting then Quick check if the big guy fits new units first... ... and then some work on his skin, horns, hood and worms spilling out from his mouth
  21. I should finish next two units today, just few finishing touches are required. Closer look on one of puddles
  22. Paints and roots and twigs and static grass and grass tufts and other basing materials were used again to create another part of my swamp some resin will be poured here and there to make some puddles
