  1. I wonder if the skeleton's leg is propped up in something that gives it scale- such as a pillar or pile of corpses.
  2. I 100% agree with Goddestio. We know they have some sort of wandering monsters thing planned- which works well for the demon. And the scales for the add on matches with what Ron said. I suppose the other question is what else they might either have planned, or be open to planning? Bones 5 had 7 expansions, including the fan favourites. I would personally be happier with slightly fewer expansions and more encounters- especially with the expansion notably missing as Chronoscope.
  3. Can't say that the style of clothing for the women in the core set is my preference. Love the dwarf with the cat, though!
  4. Very minor thing, but the Griffin Shield looks fun- would be a fun standalone set piece for either attaching to a mini, or mounting to a tavern set.
  5. I have taken a day off of work the last couple of online reapercons and loved it. As someone way too far away to get to an in person Reapercon, I hope they can run something towards the end of the year!
  6. To put a more positive spin on this thread: I will say that the minis are great. Usually Australia is the last in the world to get shipments, but by luck we got ours early last year. For the price per mini they fill a really nice generic fantasy set that will bulk out a DM's collection. In particular we liked the nice gender balance. I backed for FS2, and would likely back a FS3 based purely off of FS1 and how much we have enjoyed painting their minis.
  7. Sensibly dressed women- or at least women dressed to the same level of protection and appropriateness as the men (e.g.- the brinewind doxies are fine in context so long as some equally enticing men are included). It would be great to see equality, not just tokenistic representation across the expansions. But also, more specifics: Battle Llama Bald male/female wizards Book golem
  8. I probably won't use them on a table, but I buy more than I will ever use on the table anyway- particularly if I think they would be fun to paint or display. I mainly use potential table use as an excuse to justify buying them
  9. Yup- I got Daimyo but still not sure if it was the correct call. I loved the dragon, liked the undead and the orc. The terrain was good and some of the elementals were good IMO. I felt there was just enough to bring it over the line. But yeah- it would have been great to swap out the dinos. They are a niche product that IMO distracted from the overall set. Having something like that as an add on, or in the core set where it is always a bit eclectic, is fine and fun. But it nearly put me off the set as someone who won't use any of them.
  10. Yeah, I tried emailing back and forth with Reaper help last year and ended up getting passed on to Ed with a couple of clarifications about how the freebies worked. By Australian consumer law, if they are stock limited or not offered in a region then they need to state so on the same page as the advertisement for the freebie. It would be as simple as then just modifying the free banner to say that AUD orders are excluded, or saying "while stocks last". Ed just said they were going to try to keep stock up, but as you need they haven't generally been successful, and they don't seem interested with complying with Australian consumer law- even though they are required to if they want to keep shipping to Australia. We know that multiple customers have tried to raise these issues with them both on discord, via email and Reaper Live and the best response anyone has gotten was 2 months ago when Ed said that he was "working on the answers and will have them next week"
  11. Re: Chaoswolf- exactly my earlier thoughts! I would probably buy a steampunk set or two (and would have bought the first 3rd of the Bones 5 Chronoscope) if they had sold it as a standalone set. I imagine there are people who would do the same with the trailer park/ modern horror set and with the sci-fi sets. Or, based on what they have brought out into the store, they could try going for a full sci-fi expansion and just keep it a little more tightly themed than the usual chronoscope.
  12. Yeah- during the Bones 5 campaign I felt that they should have done each of the 3rds of the Chronoscope expansion as its own mini expansion at $20-25 each. I would have paid about that for the steampunk but have no need for modern and scifi- and wasn't willing to pay $50 for <1/3rd of the collection. At those prices, Reaper actually makes more money per item and gets a better signal for what sells.
  13. On reaper live they pretty much confirmed B6 campaign for 2022, although they have said that some of the 'future release' minis we have seen already will be in B6 when it does land. This likely means a 2024-25 delivery (so long as we don't get anything drastic like another pandemic). As others have said- if you are new to the hobby I would grab something now rather than simply waiting until then. As someone with the dungeon dwellers box I can confirm that it is great!
  14. For anyone still following this- it was annlinced on reaper live this morning that the dragon turtle would be coming to Bones 5.5 PM
  15. I have backed, but am also a little disappointed by the 3rd Fire Salamander in a row. That being said, I think it is a decent bargain even without the SGs, so they are just a bonus for me. On the other hand, anyone still on the fence after 2 FS are unlikely to buy in based on a 3rd. I think the issue is I have only really seen them advertising through email- not anywhere else. I only clicked on the KS itself because of the sculptors they listed in the first paragraph- my Reaper purchases by that group have always kept me happy. I am honestly surprised they didn't try and buy a mention at reapercon or similar- with such a large audience of miniature enthusiasts who already like the sculptors is would make sense to me. Given that the store's man models don't compete on price with Reaper, I don't think either company would need to worry about loosing sales to the other- people will go to each for their respective offerings. Oh well- hopefully it continues to tick along through another few SGs before the close.
