Just an FYI for anyone seeing this in the same situation - I had a lovely swift reply from Reaper support which explains what's going on for me. A few early orders accidentally had VAT charged on completion. Most orders did not and will get charged the VAT at the end (same for add ons added after the initial order for folks like me). Reaper will account for this when working out the final charge for VAT. So I can now go add my add ons to my hearts content knowing any extras will have the VAT charge when I pay for shipping. Huzzah! 🙂

Hi lovely backers and Reaper folks 🙂 I posted this over in the KS comments but wondered if I might get any more response here. I'm a bit confused by the VAT vs sales tax thing (forgive my ignorance on this!) I can see this bit in the update: VAT and GST are not being collected at this time for the UK, EU, and rest of the world. We are collecting US sales tax where applicable. So as a UK backer am I paying both the sales tax and VAT later down the line? I've got a listing for Tax in my order, is why I ask, and would have thought that I wouldn't be getting a tax charge since I'm buying from the UK and will pay VAT later? Sorry if this might be blindingly obvious and I'm having a dumb moment!
