YAY!!!! Got my room! Couldn't figure out why the prices weren't showing right at first until I read Inara's comment! Got the correct price to work for Wednesday through Monday! I'm so freakin excited!!!!

That's awesome! I'm pretty sure I know several DMs that would love to take that class! I hate how slow combat can be, and my husband is often telling people "Act or dodge, Act or Dodge", and tries to let people know when their turn is coming up so they are ready, but way too often people don't start looking at what they can do until it is their turn. So frustrating!!! And I completely feel you on the ridiculously excited part! I've already got several more people interested in coming!!!

My husband and I were looking for games for Sunday last year, and there weren't many. We like to stay til Monday, so having a game on Sunday would be great.

GAG. Coffee smells like skunk. I can't even stand to walk down the aisles that have coffee. So gross. My family moved to Costa Rica for 2 years when I was younger, and we lived with my mom's family (8 of us in a 1 bathroom house....) and my grandmother LOVED her coffee. UGH! Worst smell to wake up to in the morning! I live off of Water, with occasional Hot Chocolate or Juice, and even rarer soda, although I do Love some Mtn Dew or the Mango Loco Monsters, but drink them rarely.

Oh man! I have so many fun memories of waiting in line for midnight releases! Twilight, Harry Potter, a bunch of others that I can't remember what they were right now. But just the memory of hanging out with my friends in line, all so excited about watching the movie together!! Great times!

CHOCOLATE!!! Just straight up chocolate. Don't put any chunky, crunchy, chewy crap in my ice cream. It ruins the creamy texture! The only things allowed are Marshmallow creme, Hot fudge, or Bananas. Now, if this is an option, then Chocolate Ice cream mixed with Mint Ice cream. Not Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream, I don't like chocolate chips or chunks in my ice cream. I just want creamy chocolate ice cream mixed with creamy mint ice cream. OH! And Whipped Cream is always allowed on my ice cream. If you've had the chance to try Andy's Frozen Custard, their chocolate custard is the BEST!!!!

You know, I did a "Paint Club" at my FLGS this past Saturday with some of the forum/discord folks, and after they left, I had a kid come and join me, and I let him have a couple of my minis. I might start a Paint and Take while I'm at it. The kid had fun. Not the best painter, but it entertained him for a while. HAHA.

I LOVE a good road trip! Fill up my Van with my Family, find some good audio books to listen to while the kid watches DVDs with his headset on, or Jam out to some good tunes and sing along! Unless I'm traveling to Costa Rica. Then I have to fly. I'm getting better at flying, but it's definitely not my favorite.

How do you pick just one??? There are so many good ones that I can still remember and that randomly pop in my head! Jetsons, Flintstones, The Pink Panther, Inspector Gadget, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Ducktails, Darkwing Duck (although not the whole song), Chi-chi-chi-Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, OH OH OH!!! Don't forget Captain Planet, and also, THE CHIPMUNKS! Occasionally. Probably will this year, as we are thinking of playing D&D on our Driveway with flashlights and hand out candy (and/or maybe dice) to the kids that come by.

I think that the problem I'm having with this one is that the Staff and the Orb are pointing in such weird directions compared to the Wizard and the ghosts, that I can't tell where the light should be. If anyone else has this mini and can show me what you did on it, that would be really helpful!

Yeah, I think I need to find something to paint that has a more obvious direction to the light, if that makes sense. I was definitely struggling to figure that out with this mini. In my head, I see the light from his staff getting really bright as he casts some sort of spell to fight off the creatures. I also need to figure out how to make it look like the light is actually coming from the source of light I'm using. So much to learn!!!

I don't really know where to post this, so I thought I'd try here. It's my first post outside of the ReaperCon threads, but maybe it belongs there? Anywho, I was painting while playing D&D online, so I wasn't super focused on doing a great job, but I was trying to do some of the techniques that I learned in Elizabeth Beckley's OSL class. (Random thought, but the fact that I actually remember what OSL stands for now is exciting to me!) So it's not a great job at all, and I was mainly just playing around with some of the Super Washes that I got, and then decided to throw in some other colors to do the OSL. I've only been painting for a little over a year, so please feel free to give me all the best tips you got! I figure I might post other minis I work on as I go so y'all can help me out!

I am trying so hard not to open the ones that we got! I bought one of each, thinking I'll keep the Reaper one for myself and the already painted ones for my brother and nephew, but now I'm kinda wishing I had bought one of each for myself!!! HAHA!!!

I've already let my boss know I need off August 30th-Sept 5th next year! My hubby got home and immediately moved his computer to the small desk we were using for painting, and moved all the painting supplies to the large corner desk he was using for his computer. We now have a nice big area where we can both paint at the same time! We've got dioramas being planned, and I plan to paint lots of minis to practice what I learned. I had such a great time this year and I'm so looking forward to seeing you all again next year!!

Oh man, I am struggling to wake up still today. I've been working for 3 hours, and feel myself drifting away as the customers complain on the phone, and briefly answered one question with "when your customers go to the well, I mean website." Haha. I don't know what my mind was thinking about, maybe it's still in D&D mode, or planning a future diorama! Did I mention how much fun I had at the Con this year?? Meeting all of you was just awesome and I'm so glad that I got on these forums. You have such great energy and really know how to welcome someone to the group and make them feel comfortable. I hope to continue this new tradition for years to come! I feel like I've found my other family! I learned so much and have started planning my next entries! I still can't believe I made Bronze this year and honestly thought they were still calling the Certificates of Merit! Now I need some time to fill up my social battery again, but it was so worth it!!!! I can't wait to see y'all again!

I had so much fun being on the card and trying to find everyone else! And I got blackout, which is awesome! Can't wait to do it again next year and maybe get some of my peeps to get on it!

Yeah, some storms have just come through. Beautiful thunder and much needed rain! In fact (looking outside real quick) it is still raining here!

No worries! I wish I was there now! And I think I saw someone on the discord post that they were already at the hotel, but I don't remember their names.

The Hubs and I. We will usually be together. And, you can't see it in this picture, but there is Green in the hair, and I will most likely be wearing a green short and jean shorts for most of the con.
