  1. Latest Report - all of the Warlord minis have sold off I still have Gaming terrain and supplies from othe manufacturers availible.
  2. Due to long economic depression, lack of work for such a long time, lack of interest in the hobby, I'm selling off all my gaming stuff. I figure this is the best place to let people know that I have WW2 British 20mm, WW2 American Paratroopers 20mm ,WW2 German CAV 20mm, Vietnam Era Americans 20mm, CAV, CAV terrain, Warlord, Warlord terrain, Battlefleet Gothic & terrain, and Warhammer dwarfs. Everything must go! Drop me an email if your interested. [email protected]

  4. There aren't any official published scenarios. Look for scenarios in Rules of Engagement, due out October 03. Frosh I beg to differ with you there brother, I seem to recall that there are a few published scenarios that are about as offical as they come because they are in the "Casket Works". "Assault on New Mephis" Casket Works #9 and I beleve that there is one more in like Casket Works #11 title eludes me at the current time. While it is not offical, it is a blast of a good time, check out the link to my page and go to the league page using the buttons. There is a full set of campaign rules that you can try with the sample map.
  5. Hey Ivy, may we inquire what is on your desk? Does it have anything to do with CAV: The Rules of Engagement, or is that back in the think tank? All hail the great Reaper Goddess "Ivy"!
  6. How about shoot a pic with a CAV mini so we can see scale.
  7. Thanks Tim, didn't know that I was so deserving of being gotten even with, but if that's the way it is just wait till next year, the Black Lightning guys/gals and myself will make double sure you get hooked on Warlord! HeHeHe! :P Post note welcome to the Reaper Forum, Tim
  8. I bought into the Hirst-Arts dungeons, what do you think of the station builder mold? Have you started any constructions yet? I've been holding off on the station builder until I have all the field stone molds.
  9. I hate to butt it but it does need to be cleared up that these are not big robots, they are piloted machines. Just like our boys in Iraq flying those F18's, there is a pilot and a weapons officer making the decisions from the cockpit. While alot of people skip over the human factor of being in one of these machines when it goes down, our local campaign has made it a reality, by placing the single figure crews on the ground when they go down. If you don't take the field you lose your crew as prisioners of war, and replacements of veteran crews is not easy! Yes the basic game is easy to learn and from there you can add any level of complexity to make it more interesting. I highly recommend at least playing in a demo, because the basics of CAV are carrying over into the future release of WARLORD which is based more on the fantasy that you already love so dearly. Here again you can take the basics of the game and add any level of complexity to make it more interesting. The guys here are hooked on WARLORD done dungeon style like we did at Gencon 2003.
  10. I played with the number out of the JoR the other night, and didn't have much luck coming up with a working set of stats. The cost was way out of line for the size. What do you think something like this cost?

    Drop 'em on a dime

It takes a while to print all the parts, run to the local hobby/craft store to buy 2 20x30 foamcore boards but if your up to the challenge you can have one done in about two days. Just finished mine today. :D
  12. This is a beautiful piece of work by Blitz. But I'm of the opinion that if an item hits the table it should have stats and be able to take damage. So with this in mind we need to work together and come up with stats on this baby. I guess the biggest question in my mind is how many damage tracks should the drop ship be. So far the largest of CAV's has eight DT's, should it have more? Should the weapons pods have a separate set of damage tracks, so they could be disabled without destroying the dropship? Movement, I don't believe that such a large craft should be able to move as fast as light fighter aircraft. So with the speed of a Kikyu at 24MM, I'm thinking in the range of 18MM. What do you think? Armor, The largest of CAV's has a natural Armor 4, this was designated because it is a hardend target, but this bird is capable of space flight. Should it have a higher armor rating? If the weapons pods have a separate set of DT's would they share the same armor value or have a different one? Power would be unbelieveable, because it has to power those massive engines and all the weapons pods. I'm at a total loss here. Target lock, I believe it should be by weapons pod, because they would be operated be separate teams of gunners and weapons officers. I think the standard target lock of 3 is acceptable. What do you think? Electronic Counter Warfare Measures (ECM) on such a large craft I don't believe would be very high as it is such a large target. I'm going to give it a ECM 1 so it has a little chance, your thoughts? Close combat - big debate, I don't think a dropship should be able to attack (ACA) and should have a nil rating, however I believe it should be able to defend itself (DCA) but I have no idea as to how well. What are your thoughts? Should it be allowed to enter hybrid flight mode? I don't think so because the table is not large enough to support to many passes. I also believe that it should have difficulty turning, and only be able to turn once per movement, say at the end of its movement be able to turn a single hex facing. What are your thoughts?

As not to detract from this thread, I'll start a thread about the stats on this baby for open discussion. :D
