Reminds me of the Kolchak: The Night Stalker episode "Chopper". Cool idea. -

Today I bought a glass display case on Craigslist. It has curved glass on the front, two glass side doors, and a mirror back. It didn't have any shelves, but there are plenty of pegs to mount shelves on. I went to Lowe's and had a piece of glass cut to see if my measurements were right, which were right on the money. But the demo piece I had cut was only 3/32 in. thick. I have zero confidence in glass that thick to bear the cumulative weight of minis. I figure I'm going to need the shelves to be at least 3/8 in. thick. Does this sound about right or do I need something thicker? Also, does anyone local to me know where I could glass that thick custom cut? Thanks.

Speaking of which, I'd like to see a set of goth girls. A dominatrix. That's right, I said a dominatrix. Anti-gravity powered hover bikes A set of "not" Bloom County characters, including a junkie cat and bowtie wearing penguin. -
A tornado that never fully formed passed north of Arlington last night, and we got some marble-size hail here. I feel sorry for all those people at Rangers Ballpark last night, they must have been scared spitless. Stadium officials evacuated them from the stands to the tunnels underneath it. Kudos to them for not taking any chances.

A Mouseling pulp fiction inventor with an ornithopter-like, Da Vinci-ish flying rig! Mouselings with "plasma swords" (Parmesan Kenobi) -
I had a terrific time as well, the ladies at the mini trade table were saints. Thank y'all for your patience. I was very happy that I got to play the third part of Chris Witt's Treasures of Destiny Star Wars Saga series. Thanks Chris!! As always, Reaperbryan was the host with the most, and I gotta give GINORMUS props to Ed and Dave Pugh for being total class guys and opening the doors of their business for all of us.

I think I know who yo're talking about, lol. And I may have got my hands on the find of all finds at the adoption table---an intact, beautifully painted TOS Starship Enterprise. Haldir can verify my find.

I got my ticket a couple of days ago, I'll see all the usual suspects there.

Count me in for Pathfinder if there are any slots available.

So did I, man. And she did look great prior to her passing.

Speaking for myself, eHarmony did work for me. It took me 11 months to find that someone special, but Tammi and I have been together for nearly 3 years now. Funny thing is, she had only been on eHarmony for a month before we found each other. I believe the terms "actual results may vary" and "your mileage may vary" are appropriate for eHarmony. You've got to have patience with it, but I'm living proof it can work. I've been on Match before. I might as well have signed up with Online Booty Call dot com. Just my $0.02.

But does Reaper have a wedding registry?

Recently I downloaded some Star Wars paper cut-out miniatures, but I haven't found an adequate way to glue them together. I've tried glue sticks and rubber cement, can anyone recommend a good, fast-acting paper glue? Thanks.

My miniature related pet peeve: The "Collectible Miniatures" industry. What a rip-off. You need a lot of low-level baddies for your game, you've got to open up a bunch of booster packs and pray you get what you need (although the Legendary Encounters line has mitigated this somewhat). I stopped buying the booster packs because I got to the point where I felt that I was being violated in a sensitive area with every purchase.

Yes, DaVinci did conceive of an ornithopter flying machine, and made detailed drawings, sketches, and blueprints for it.

Now we know that the Rangers will be playing the Giants. I think the Rangers will prevail, I believe they have an advantage in hitting. If they can knock C.C. Sabathia around in the 2 games they faced him in the ALCS (even though they didn't win either of those games), they can do the same to Tim Lincecum in the World Series.

For the first time in their tortured existence, the Texas Rangers have punched their ticket to the Fall Classic!! It was so gratifying beating the Damn Yankees, the team that had knocked the Rangers out of the playoffs three times previously, and the icing on the cake was catching A-Hole looking on Strike 3 in the 9th. How do you like those "25 kids" now, A-Roid??? I'm working on 5 hours of sleep, but you know, I don't care, I am beside myself with joy!! Philly or San Fran, Bring Them On!!!

Today I found another potential source of lightsaber hilts to go along with the acrylic rods. I went to Hobby Lobby and found 3/32" tubes made out of styrene by Evergreen Scale Models. Fairly inexpensive, a pack of 6 costs $2.99. They aren't as detailed as using bolter scopes, but jazzing them up is well within the capacity of just about everyone here. The tubes are hollow, but you'll have to drill them out a bit to get a 1/16" acrylic rod to fit. I held a lighter close to one and used the heat to bend one a bit--ta-da, curved lightsaber hilt!

It's never too late to come in with a good idea.
