    Darkspawn cavalry?

    Now we're thinkin' like Isiri!

    Darkspawn cavalry?

Gotcha. That would be a large model!

    Darkspawn cavalry?

@Kengar--cool idea, but I was thinkin' more along the lines of cavalry, and having the Spawn burrowing is enough for the moment.

    Braug, Ogre Warrior- Warlord 14038

Chimin' in late I can say that I want my skills to get me where you are now. Really great work. Cheers.

    Darkspawn cavalry?

@shakhak--thanks for rockin' those pics to illustrate what I'm talkin' about! @Obi--you got it; I don't want anything like all the other Dark Elf cavalry out there. No dragons, cold ones, whatever! I'm with you about keepin' it Warlord flavor entirely. Cheers. Oh yeah, I was thinkin' something like the guardian demon dogs that Heresy produces; again, Warlord flavored.

Minis we would like to see (fantasy version)

The Aboleth would rock! A classic needing a sculpt. I still want more Broken Fodder for my Darkspawn.

    Reven and the Steppes

I don't even play Reven, but I think that's a great question. I would think a brown static grass would hint at the landscape of Mongolia. That's something to Google images for. Cheers.

    Isiri skin tone

Got a recipe for Isiri skin tone? I've unsuccessfully tried to match the starter box pics, but since stripped'em. I am going for my second attempt to start with nightshade purple and lighten up from that. Got any tips?

    Isiri skin tone

Thanks--I just started with the Nightshade purple--man, that is one deep, dark, purple. Cheers.

    Warlord Roleplay

As much as I'd like to see a system based on the TTG mechanics, you're right, a d20 book would reach more people, and might even turn a profit.

    Warlord Roleplay

@Spike--Yup, even a book with no stats/system and just the fluff of the surrounding world would rock. @kengar--thanks; I'd love to look at your notes.

    Isiri skin tone

Cool, and thank you. I'll try that for my Isiri archers and grunts. I almost abandoned the idea, but I think I just need another go at it. Cheers.

    Warlord Roleplay

It does look useful, I checked out the AEG site, it looks pretty adaptable to me. When ya boil it all down, I really am going for a backdrop that let's me use ALL my minis!

    Warlord Roleplay

@Ranzadule--thanks for the tip; I love the idea of using the Taltos region as the background, and probably will end up running a 3.5 game in that setting, this fall. I'll have to check out their book. Cheers.

    Warlord Roleplay

Yup, Taltos is easily adapted for any RPG system, but my question pertains to what Reaper has in mind for their own game. Maybe luck will favor us with somebody from Reaper throwin' us a bone. @kengar--I would love to see these ideas of yours. As for 1st edition being simpler, well maybe that's just me remembering my adolescent gaming being so much more fun than gaming now, under 3.5.

    Chaos Slug

It's an even scarier monster. PM me please if you cast. Cheers.

    A sad day for comedy...

They don't make'em like they used to. These guys will be missed.

Minis we would like to see (fantasy version)

Probably suggested before, but a burrowing model marker would rock for Warlord. Remember the old Bugs Bunny cartoons where he would be travelling this way? The earth he was burrowing under was depicted in a really fun way--people would buy these for Warlord to use until the model sprung from the ground.

    A Good Read

George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones series. You can't put'em down. I've lost many hours of sleep with this one. Cheers.
  20. Will there be specific rules for fighting in underground (dungeon, or cave) battles in the Dwarf Army or Darkspawn Army book? Things covering, light, terrain, hazards and the like.

    Defensive Strikes

I've only seen the game demoed once, and I'm painting my army to play. Here's the question, even after reading the close combat section. Do models with multiple attacks get their number of melee attacks as defensive strikes, or is this only for the attacking models with more than one melee attack?

    Underground (dungeon) battles, etc.

These are all good ideas, y'all. I'm just learning the game and coming from Chronopia, where they had a few underground battle suggestions. It all boils down to what's agreed upon, but I like what I'm reading and hope to see it in future releases. It would give underground dwellers homefield advantage; I like Sir Drake's ideas on this. Cohesion, blast radius, etc. Of course this would have to be balanced by the forces comfortable in the dark having a disadvantage elsewhere, or limiting these battle to just the Dwarves and the Darkspawn. Either way, they'd make a great addition to the terrain rules in the core rulebook. Who doesn't love a dungeon crawl?

    Underground (dungeon) battles, etc.

How about hazards like pockets of methane/exploding gas, deadfalls, triggering cave-ins and the like?

    Underground (dungeon) battles, etc.

I think if they devoted a paragraph or two outlining your points would be great! I didn't even think of the stalactites. You're right. The existing rules cover all this, but I thought having some guidelines for fighting in the depths would be cool in the Dwarf or Darkspawn book. Cheers.
  25. When the Darkspawn book comes out, I'm hoping that they will have Broken Fodder Ogres! One of those would be a cool model, and interesting to field hovering over the other fodder. Speaking of which, another three pack with a broken fodder elf, human merc, and reptus would be a great add on. Talk about variety of models! I got the Darkspawn army because I loved the idea of these stitched up pain/pleasure induced slaves runnin' around. I don't particularly like the Isiri grunts, but these fodder are just too cool to pass up, and the abominations rock! Cheers.
