Thanks for the update, Imperial Outpost is just up the highway. I'll give them a ring tonight. I guess I've finally earned "old grizzled veteran status". Can't wait to see all the young kids in awe of the 5lb. Thunderbird. I'll glare at them through squinted eyes, while I chew on my cigar stub, and say "back in my day you played with metal minis or you didn't play at all..."

Wow. I thought CAV had died years ago. I was just cleaning out a closet and found a couple boxes of old CAV minis and thought "I wonder whatever happened to CAV..." And here it is with, correct me if I am wrong, a new rule set? Is anyone in the Phoenix area playing the new and improved version?

It was a 1.5 Beta test CAV. I think it may be published at some point in the near future as a kitbash/optional rule unit. I'm going to try and make one by putting the Ronin's arms on the Katana. Hmmm. That might actually look pretty good. I also think it should be drawn up and made into a model. The Terrans could use a Super-Heavy in a dedicated attack role. How about a Thunderbird variant? A Thunderhawk... A T-bird with the Hawk6's DFMs...Can we say "Emperor killer"? There's also a Ronin variant mentioned in the JOR's that has rotary cannons... Be looking for some non-OEM Terran models in a future Mil-Net update too. Excellent.

So I was backtracking through the 25+ pages of posts here and I ran across a couple of posts talking about the Samurai... what the heck happened to that!? Is it still in the works, is there even a drawing for it yet??

I think two keepers for the vets would be ok. There are still a whole lot of NFL players out there to choose from if new people are joining up. Oh yeah, make sure the stipulation is set that Defensive Squads are not eligible for keepers... THAT would be a bit unfair.

Count me in. I need something to keep me occupied while my Lions waste another season at the bottom of the NFL. (damn that Millen and his fetish for Wide Receivers! )
