  1. These are from a game that I ran at Winter War this year. Each player started with a Warlord and as they traveled thru the caverns the earned gold by killing the monsters they encountered. The gold could then be used to hire minions that were encountered. I ran two sessions and the players seemed to enjoy it. The funniest part of the 1st game was when the player using Prince Danithel encountered Ragon the Blooded. Ragon turned out to quite the beast as he just wouldn't die. He made his tough check 4 or 5 times. In the second game it was Thurian, Blackguard who wouldn't die. He made his tough check about 7 times. So I hope that you enjoy the pics.

What's this lesser accuracy weapon in your list?

  3. I've noticed that you sell plastic cavalry bases and 1 inch square bases, but not the larger bases. I'm surprised that you don't given the number of pieces that go on those bases. Is there any chance that you will start making those in plastic?

  4. Several people in my group have decided that they don't like attacks of opportunity and want them removed from our game. The lead player on this feels that they are unrealalistic as a master swordsman would not just turn and give his back to someone. He would move back in a guard position and if his opponent tried to attack, the opponent would get hurt. We tried to explain that this is basically what a shift is, but it wasn't successful. Has anyone else had this issue come up and how did you resolve it?

  5. How many players were involved? Were they newbies getting demos, or experienced players? Was it a tournament, or a bring and battle?

    Details, please.

I've run Chronopia at two local cons, and I know how much work is involved in putting together an event. I'm asking you because there's always more I can learn from people organizing events.

    Cheers.

It was a dungeon crawl loosely based on Castlebuilder's Ebontop scenerio for newbies and experienced players. Experienced players could bring their own troop of intrepid adventures and I had several troops for newbies. Unfortunately, I only had two players show up, but they were newbies, so I got to demo Warlord a bit for them. In order to move the game along some rules were left out, such as defensive strikes. Both players had a good time and I hope to do it again next year.

  6. I just saw the figures for Aislynn and the Lupine Sentry and I think that Aislynn look really cool. The Sentry looks interesting, but the positioning of his right foot bothers me. The way it's curled under doesn't look right to me. Maybe I just need to see it up close, like I do Kainus. He looks pretty cool too, but in the picture it looks like his lower jaw is metal and there's something about his head in general that's throwing me off.

  7. My rules were pretty simple. Each player was allowed to field a 300 point army. Unit cohesion and faction abilites were not used. At the begining of each round 2 random events were rolled, this could be a simple as finding treasure, encountering a trap, or a encountering a creature(s). Where the event occured was randomly determined and if it creatures in an empty room they didn't stay there. Once that was done players rolled for initiative and moved accordingly. If a unit moved within 4" of a dungeon item then an encounter was rolled. Gold or silver could be earned by defeating the opponents that showed up and afterwards a loot action could be performed on the item to aquire magic items, such as scrolls, potions, weapons, and armor.

As for the cavernscape, it is already cut. the pieces that it comes with allow you to make a variety of patterns. I bought 2 sets off of a friend and both were used to create the caverns.
