  1. It's very possible that Miniature Heroes in the UK and Goblin Trader in Spain might be getting some of these Special Edition miniatures - these two retailers tend to make pretty regular orders and *might* be stocking these. And I'm sure that there are several other fine European and Australian retailers who make regular orders but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
  2. It's a Julie Guthrie wizard miniature. You can't go wrong. Hint for the March 25th Anniversary mini: it's a classic female character model. By "classic" I mean within the first 50 DHL models. These 25th Anniversary teases are just practice for all the Bones 4 teasers we're working on.
  3. Michael Proctor just finished painting this mini. Oh. My. Goodness. Our jaws dropped when we saw what he did with it. Pics next week.
  4. We're always glad to hear suggestions! But you're right, we've already got most of the 12 minis planned and the first four are already finished! You're going to see several old concepts reimagined. So, 1600 Grim Reaper is sort of a resculpt of the old 2019 Grim Reaper, also by Bob Ridolfi. Hint for the February mini: it's a resculpt/reimagining to one of Julie Guthrie's very first Reaper sculptures.
  5. Awesome jobs by Bob Ridolfi on the sculpting and Michael Proctor on the studio model!!!
  6. After the 12 Days of Reaper? We're going to get ready for our next promotion - Reaper's 25th Anniversary Year-long Free Figure-of-the-Month Promotion. We will probably shorten that title though. And thanks to all of you who have and will participate in the 12 Days promotion. Our shipping department works very hard to get your orders out as quickly as possible!
  7. You have excellent taste in miniatures, my friend. Yes, Anne did an awesome job on the reindeer, and Rhonda (again) did a brilliant job on Nick.
  8. Pretty! Cute! Painted by the amazing Rhonda Bender. BTW, all of this year's 12 DoR models were painted by Anne Foerster, Katie Sommer, Shannon Stiltz, and Rhonda Bender. Kudos to all of them!
  9. I asked Anne for some more info on the new Holiday paints. Here's what she wrote up for us: Christmas Wreath: A vibrant dark green, this color is great for washes over lighter greens. It’s also good for painting evergreens and holly, or even as a dark green verdigris color for bronze. Ginger Cookie: A lighter brown good for weathered wood or adding dust effects to cloaks, boots, or terrain. And, of course, it’s great for painting 28mm cookies! Golden Glow: This color is excellent for lighting effects using lantern and candlelight, or as a final highlight for paler oranges or darker yellows. Pairs well with Hearth Fire, also included in this set. Holly Berry: A bright orangey-red good as a highlight for darker reds to give them a bit of “popâ€. Can be also used as a very bright base and highlighted with Hearth Fire for lava basing effects or for bright red fiery effects on things like magical weapons or glowing eyes. Peppermint White: A mildly glossy white good as a final highlight for pale colors. The glossier finish catches the light to make highlights stand out. Sparkling Snow: A satiny metallic with a cold wintery color tint. This paint is capable of shifting color depending on what it is painted over. It can be highlighted with the white metallic, Pearl White, and shaded with blues or purples. Hearth Fire: A great mid-range color for glowing coals, bonfires or fire elementals. This bright orange can be a shadow for yellows or a highlight to make darker oranges pop. Turkey Brown: This warm medium brown can be utilized for anything from polished wood or leather to depicting rich brunette hair color. As a glaze or wash it can work with with ochres, yellows or oranges. Frosty Blue: This cool light blue is a good base or shadow coat for snowy effects. It’s also a good shadow for Blue Flame, Ghost White, or Pure White, and a great highlighter mixed in to almost any blue. Coal Black: An off-black with a blue-green shift, this color works well as a base on ravens, obsidian, black dragons, or black stone or marble. It’s especially effective when highlighted with a blue-grey, blue, or green hue. When thinned it will shift and show more color, making it an interesting option for washes This info will also be posted to the item description when it goes live on Wednesday.
  10. Joe is working on these now. Once he's finalized everything (he's super busy with his day job), we will need to lay the info out and then get it ready for the site. Thanks for your patience!
  11. Sculpted by Gene Van Horne, painted by Anne Foerster. The Coolest Mousling Ever! You can get him in two weeks!

  13. On December 31st 2015, our dear friend Liliana Troy lost her husband Kirk Troy after an extended fight with cancer. For those of you who don’t know Lili is a long-standing member of the painting community, although she hasn't been quite as active since the birth of their son Kyle in 2013. Lili was involved in the early days of ReaperCon as an instructor and is a long standing member of the Colorado Miniatures Painting Alliance. Kirk was a Games Workshop fan and amassed a veritable mountain of GW games miniatures and other related materials. This includes many OOP games, miniatures, exclusives. Now, they the task of liquidating this collection to help Lili pay Kirk’s medical bills. This liquidation will occur in a number of phases with the culmination being an auction at a memorial BBQ event in Kirk's honor this summer, probably in July. The three phases are as follows. Phase 1: As each company is catalogued they will release and post the list as widely as possible. Some items will be listed for the memorial auction. Phase 2: They will be accepting offers on anything on the catalog lists that isn’t designated for the auction. Although it would widen the audience they may not be using eBay for this. Phase 3: The Memorial Auction will be a standard voice auction. This may take place at Lili’s house or they may re-locate depending on the response. There is a possibility that they will accept phone and text bids on these; details will be forthcoming. More information regarding the catalog and auction will be coming soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with Liliana and her family at this time.
