Reducing the flexibility of Bones figures

Has a consensus been reached as to best or which alcohol to use, concentration, and time in bath required for best results? -
Hooray I need demons for RoD

Do organic shaped terrain bases with 40-60mm based trees to go on terrain base.
-
I'm basing for Paradisio which is a Hot Warzone. Paradisio is mix of urban and jungle warfare from what I can gather, so I'm rubble basing my guys, and then I want to build a board that is the Paradisio equivalent to the Battle of Huê. I think it will be super cool.

Brushes No Longer Shipped to the U.S.
psyberwolfe1 replied to Feffer's topic in Tips & Advice: Painting
These Silver Brush Renaissance has been my new workhorse since I burned up my S7 and they are pretty amazing for the price. <<<MOD>>> link to retail site removed as it was in violation of the boards no commerce rules. <<<MOD>>> -
Liquitex AB Medium is just pure painting gold. I thin paint with it 25:1 through 50:1 thinner to paint. No break down or clogging whatsoever. I thin metallic paints with it and use it for washes. Alcohol is nasty business when atomized and can cause paint to separate into its constituent parts. (Not to Mention it's stupidly combustible.)

I have. It's good for basing/terrain horible for figure sculpting. You loose the water malleability, but gain sanding, pinning, and easier to sculpt than plain milliput.

matte medium and flow improver are surprisingly shiny. Ink is also shiny. You can kill the shine with matte varnish or Testor's Dullcote.

MSP Equivalencies for Artist Colors
psyberwolfe1 replied to Vaitalla's topic in Tips & Advice: Painting
You've also given Burnt Umber = Walnut Brown. -
I've taken just about every class you offer. There needs to be some more Level-Up classes and one-on-ones that are available day of con. I am never able to get the one-on-ones and that is helping me more than ever. Yes this year I sat around painted and then went to get feed back and critique from the artists that happened to be in the hall but I would like some more focused moving into advanced level painter stuff. (I might blow the $100 in gas to come up for painter's club if I must.)

Needed: Airbrush Equipment Basics and Recommendations
psyberwolfe1 replied to Girot's topic in Tips & Advice: Painting
By AB Thinner are you talking about Liquitex, Golden, Vallejo, or Tamiya? The first three recommend ventilation and a mask. Tamiya OTOH is particulary nasty organic chemicals and you must have a Respirator. -
No one has mentioned to bring Green Stuff should you want to sculpt.
-
Yup. As I said punt in order to keep the game moving.
-
One action. Roll to hit and then opposed strength check with disadvantage.
-
We saw that but what we couldn't find was the untrained/lack of feat use. It makes sense that someone could do this without the feat but what are the effects? Are there penalties or disadvantages without a feat? If so what are they? No worries we punted and it all worked out.

I <3 D&D Next. It has the simplicity of the game that I loved in the 70s and 80s with the nuances and complexity of 4th. As a father of a 5 year old and a 6 month old I have neither the time nor inclination to spend more time on D&D than I do on painting figures. D&D Next is great. Would I like a few more options than the last round of playtest materials? Sure, but the fact It takes me exactly 30 minutes to build a character is awesome. Combats are quicker. The advantage disadvantage mechanic is boss. There is so much I love about this I would be typing an essay were I to continue. Currently I would like to see certain combat mechanics make their way back. Bull Rush is missing as far as we can tell and that is one that has a lot of utility especially from a Roll Playing Combat perspective. (We made something up to fix this.) My big hope is that all the Rule Books are available for every digital format. (A tablet character sheet would also be great.) Since the materials were only available in digital format I've been retrained and I love that my table isn't polluted with books that are constantly being shuffled around.

MSP Ivory Bone or VMC Iraqi Sand as a base coat, shade with what ever brown or sepia tone looks good to you, and highlight by adding MSP Linen White to base colors. Done.
