  1. Here's a little update on my project. I've been mostly painting the lower floor. I finished the banner and the fireplace and had to try some OSL on the floor and walls. The walls are still waiting for some more paint on them. The miniatures aren't installed in the floor, I just carved holes for the bases. On the top part the snow will cover the seams, but they will stay visible on the lower part. I'm not sure about the smoke, is there just too much? Maybe Santa's elf is stuck in there causing the terrible cloud MG: The chimney is not straight, I thought the pipe could do a little curve in the ground because I didn't want it sticking out in the center. Another thing I'm not sure about is the front side of the ground: Should I paint it black, or try to paint it with layers of snow and rock...
  2. Looks really nice so far and I think the gold would look good too. I just got a few minis from RBG too, and I was totally surprised by their size, they are tiny!
  3. I remembered yesterday that it's Christmas soon and I've made some kind of a diorama every Christmas since I got back to painting five years ago. Here Mr. Claus is arriving to a dwarven town with a hall underneath and dwarves mainly drinking hot beer (sounds quite tasty)... I was thinking about making a trap door to the hall, but I think it would make the small space too crowded. Any ideas coming to your heads, stuff it could have or if it looks too crowded already?
  4. Doh.. I was late again!!! Does someone want to run another exchange with the same schedule? ;)
  5. Haha!! :D This one is great! Love it!

  8. L8 for me, perhaps... didn't reach Brannor's table yet.
  9. "You! Wild man! What is this you say about a slaughtered tribe?" Sturdy Oak turns to the speaker, eyeing him suspiciously and noticing he is looking at another tribesman. "Aye, three nights ago our tribe was attacked by a horde of goblins, hobgoblins and ogres. My uncle sent me to get help from Elsircross, but the cowards there would not listen. No-one here either. Now my tribe is no longer. They are all gone, and before his death my uncle told me that it was the Red Hand banner under which the beasts marched."
  10. Sturdy Oak enters the inn, finds an empty chair in one of the corner tables and sits down after a long journey of the day. He is frustrated. His kinsmen are all probably slaughtered, beyond all help. "I'm too late, too late", he sobs to himself, tears in his eyes. He feels anger pulsating in his veins, but he keeps it in. As in Elsircross, he was not taken seriously when he was asking for aid: "Talk to the guards captain tomorrow or next week", "Get away from me you mad savage! Gods made us a favour if they got us rid of most of you...". What can I do next, he thinks? That is when he hears it from another table nearby: "the Red Hand". He rushes to the table of the half-elf hopefully, maybe this one will believe. "You know the Red Hand?" Sturdy Oak asks the half-elf. "Tell me who will I crush for slaughtering my tribe!"

  12. I've made a Dwarven Fighter and a Barbarian so far. Both are ok to me, so depends a bit on Lyn and whether we need a striker or defender more.
  13. Anything goes to me as well, though I'd prefer a fighter, ranger or rogue.
