  1. I have to say that the table Jason has is incredible, what we found though is there were some huge fire lanes that the missile units took advantage of. I have to say though that playing on that huge table was a ton of fun for the IF monsters.

it was no uncommon to see rounds lobbed at 100 to 130 inches. most of the time we weren't hitting anything on those really long IF shots, but with the narrow valleys it was easy to drift into something early in the game.

    again thanks for hosting us.

  2. Just a reminder, we will be playing this coming Wed due to the weather reschedule.

If you are a experienced player please bring pre made army lists of 750, 1000, 1500, and 2000 so that we can better pair up players of different levels and save time with not having to build armies.

Please also be sure to glue all Skeleton breakers before arriving ::D:

  3. You mean like a 4.2" mortar? <_< Where you have to tip the tube up and entice the round to slide out, making sure you catch it? My first experience with that was in AIT. The first 4.2" round I ever dropped was a misfire.

See you have the benifit of the round sliding out. I've had to make sure there were no live coals in the vent hole attempt to re gimlit and prime and refire, if that doesn't work we have to make the charge inert and use a corkscrew like divice called a worm and unpack the cannon......weeeeeee...... never trust a three fingered black powder cannonier.

And you do this voluntarily? You're a nut! ::P:

remind me when your here for ReaperCon to bring the set of photos showing our baby sheering off her tie downs and jumping off the carriage while being fired. She broke loose Sunday morning while I was at Reapercon this past year. The one day they have a "incident" is they day I was absent.

  4. Ya the RAC tourney format was meant to be small quick games that could be played in-between classes at the convention. The format for the tourney allowed players to come and go through out the weekend to play their rounds, thus allowing for some fun entertainment between when they weren't melting their brains in class.

The point cost and model count were kept low on purpose. With more time allotted and more of a fixed structure, combined arms games are the way to go.
