Well folks, we're officially a funded project, bringing some great new minis to your tables! But we still have a ways to go to get even more options. The Forest Troll is up next, this is a $10 figure that can be added to your pledge. He unlocks at $3300, I know there is a little ways to get there, but I have faith, we've got 6 days to spread the word and find backers who want to join us!

Sacred Sword - Chibee and Useko Warrior
The Faceless King replied to The Faceless King's topic in Show Off: Painting
Thanks so much guys! That's the Useko Warrior figure, he's not out yet, the last Kickstarter attempt failed (my mistakes largely) but we'll be doing a reboot in a couple months. -
I can't believe I forgot to share these here. These are the first two figures we had done for the Sacred Sword minis line up. Both of those are pretty quick paint jobs as I am not a professional painter. But still, I think I did alright. First we have the Useko Warrior Next Up is the Chibee (This is already in production through Impact Miniatures) And lastly just a comparison shot between them on some of my prototype game tiles. I love my chibi minis lol. Considering that's nearly all I paint anymore. Anyways, happy to hear your thoughts!

So guys, two things, one we did cancel, and are planning a relaunch in a couple months. In the mean time though, Snickernack Studios got a couple of Impacts newer cast figures, after the resin was revised. I highly recommend checking it out. https://www.facebook.com/Snickernackstudios/videos/1338232082928172/ She takes a look at the newer casts, and compares them to some of the problematic older ones. Especially discussing the QC as well as priming issues. -

Well, if we do have to reboot, we've already reached a wider audience, had a lot of comments on the line-up and layout that we've already started to implement and will implement more of them on the reboot, we've got a lot planned and we'll do what we need to to ensure everything goes a little more smoothly on the relaunch. -

We're on our last 30 hours guys! Last couple days have been a good uptick in votes. And thanks for the remark odinsgrandson. The quality of trollforged has vastly improved over the years. It's why I was happy to go with them, they are a great quality for the price, and I find the material really easy to work with. -

Scorpions are up and I am adding a bunch more as we speak, I also reorganized the available miniatures so folks can get a better look at things and made stuff more clear. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/770568564/sacred-sword-miniatures-jrpg-styled-chibi-minis -

Whelp, my experience with those particular figures is they all had clean casts, and washed up well, the regular mummy and the pony mummy need assembly, the other 4 are single piece, they also have scorpions and scarabs I'll be getting up soon. I am going to be reorganizing the layout within the next couple days. I want to make it more clear. -

Me lol, it's my project. I can add more photos of the figures that are finished. Those are actually figures from one of Impacts previous campaigns that they recommended I add in as they aren't in stores yet and they get a lot of extra funding from people padding out pledges with older figures. Impact never uploaded the actual casts of those figures photos online, I just literally took that photo for you. I am sorry I wasn't clear I was running it, I thought you realized. -

I can only speak to my own experience. Yes, some of the old stuff was pretty rough and had problems. Everything I have gotten in the past year from new casts was totally fine (minor pinhole bubbles, but I expect that in resin) Here is a look at the egyptian figures for you, it's not all of them, but what I have handy. -

Essentially it boils down to the following issues, some of the master prints were 3d printed on too low res of a printer creating some graininess. But that is taken care of (and has been for the past couple kickstarters). Also there was a pretty notable problem with the mold release being nearly impossible to get off. I've only had a couple that were a problem over the course of their kickstarters, but when it was bad, it was BAD. There were also issues with bubbles on certain sculpts, but this seems largely to be due to the sculpts not really being cut properly for the material, as they have developed the experience this problem is now pretty minimal. I mean it happens, but it's resin, but overall seems pretty minimal to pin hole bubbles. Now, that said. I spent a lot of time talking to Impact Miniatures about these problems, he sent me a handful from the last project where the resin and the mold release were revised. I primed one of the new figures without washing it using Wal-Mart $1 flat black primer, totally fine bond. I mean I'd still recommend washing them, but still. I was curious. Now I get that as I am working with them, you may not want to take my word for it, so I forwarded a couple of my samples that I was sent to a podcast who have been critical of that in the past. She is going to get them Saturday, so hopefully she'll get to take a look at them soon. If you aren't familiar with Elizabeth Beckley though, she's a pretty well known company painter, works with CMoN and a variety of other companies, during the podcast I mentioned above they were discussing problems with the older wave stuff, and she said her most recent figured seemed totally fine. I hope this helps, if I wasn't confident the problems with the material weren't taken care of, I wouldn't be willing to work with them. -

I know a lot of folks have had issues with the Trollforged in the past. I won't lie, even I have had some. But I know they spent a lot of time revising things, and Impact sent me a batch from the new casting group before i agreed to team up with them. I assembled and primed one without washing it, perfectly clean bond. I was actually pretty surprised. There were a couple pinhole bubbles, but nothing worse than I would consider normal.
