  1. Thanks Jabberwocky - thats a great idea. I don't know if I'll go back and add it to this one, but I will most definitely keep that in mind on the next ones. It makes perfect sense... Thanks again!
  2. Wow antnol ... I love it. The base is just awesome, and their armor fits the terrain perfect. Very smooth paint jobs. Very sweet!
  3. Hello everybody. I just finished this little dual I've had in the works for about two months. I made the base about 2 months ago (just took a few hours one evening), and it just sat around. I finally decided to paint the figures, and did the maurader for about three hours one night and the orc for about three hours the next night. I'm happy with how the maurader came out, but I think the orc looks to "chalky". I hope you all like it. As always, questions and comments are more than welcome! Thanks for looking.
  4. Thanks Nial. scotty, I got that cork from Michaels. I was using the thin cork because the thicker was more expensive, but it made a world of difference for larger bases.
  5. Do all of them! Personally, I'd choose the High Elves.
  6. Thanks for the comments Stubbdog! I totaly agree with you about shaping the flat bottom of the last pic. I didn't really think of that, but since you mentioned it, it makes perfect sense. I also never saw that one as good vs. evil, but thats a great idea. I can make the knight a dark, evil looking knight and I really like your idea about having the terrain fit their side. Thanks again!
  7. Hey all ... its been a while since I've posted anything. Not because I've been hard at work on minis, but because I did some cleaning and all my mini stuff was packed away! But, I've broken it out again and started making some fun bases. I must give some props to Aaron as he gave me the inspiration on the water effect. He also gave me a nice lesson on painting, but as my painting is still crappy I've been focusing on the bases and putting off the painting! I've really been excited about making some "dueling" minis, so I tried some mini-dioramas with a couple little guys goin' at it. As always, your comments are welcome! Oh yeah, none of the figures are glued to the bases. They are all just stuck in with pins. And sorry for the shadows and all, I made a photo box and i'm still playing with the lighting... This is one of my favorites so far ... I just hope I can do it justice when I slap the paint on. I'm not sure yet as to how I'm gonna fill the "ground" around them... any ideas? Let me know what you guys think! I've got a few more pics if anyone really wants to see something close up or whatever, just let me know...
  8. I don't know about that exact model, but its basically the same as the one I use. I think mine is made by Xacto - but it looks identical. Its been great for me so far.
  9. Yeah. awesome. Very great piece.
  10. Oooh ... this one is gonna be good! I can't wait to see more!!
  11. Wow ... looks great! Wonderful detail :)
  12. I like the red and white ... maybe try and spice it up a bit by adding another color on the accents or some nice freehand on the robes. Looks great so far.
  13. Awesome freehand on the cloak LCS! I really like the whole thing.
  14. Looks like a really good start to me, Pyreos! Can't wait to see more of her.
  15. You are one lucky son-of-a-gun. I'm still stuck in my dark, stuffy, cramped garage.
