  1. Was it Fesieg the Fierce? http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?...arian+warm+cool
  2. I use an HP 3050 at work, which seems to meet your criteria, although I confess I was not involved in the purchase and do not know the pricing issue. We use a couple of models of printers here, and try to stay consistent.
  3. It was in CW 18. The Paint Like a Pro section has a separate breakout, but I had trouble opening that one
  4. Actually, it's been a good week for me. I let go of control of other's food choices in my family, by imposing a make your choices system (and my stress level dropped dramatically). Cleaned out all the "junk food" at home. In additional started recording everything I eat again, which makes a huge difference. Excercise is so-so. I got out for some walking (under 2 miles each time) 5 times, which isn't bad, but I need to start pushing harder and longer. Lost 5 pounds. I guess it works.
  5. First and foremost, Erin, I'm sorry for your losses. Second, thank you for raising a very important issue that, whether we want to or not, we all need to consider - and it is not a place to procrastinate. Estate Planning is a critical exercise for everyone. Wills are one of the tools that can be used to accomplish this end. For those with minor children, this is most important because it give you the opportunity to express your preference (and give your choice a strong position in court) as to who will have custody of your children should something happen to you. I have seen cas
  6. I like Sue's explanation here: http://www.paintminion.com/ddiary/ddiary200701.htm and Talespinner's here: http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?...;hl=talespinner
  7. Yea! Yesterday was final weigh-in for "The Biggest Loser" at work. I came 2nd. That's down 4.5 lbs in about 6 weeks. We talked about it and having a group of us thinking about this collectively at work has helped keep the "grab and go" stuff more out of sight in the office, which has collectively helped everyone.
  8. Today's success: Made lunches for the week. I use the salad bag and split it out into smaller bags and add whatever other vegies look good. I use 2-oz plastic containers for various toppings, including banana pepper slices and craisins and fat-free dressing. Then I just dump the toppings into the bag when I am ready to eat, shake it up to distribute the dressing and pour on a plate. It's big and cruchy, so that quickly satisfies two cravings with eating. I also stopped all caffeine intake. Or at least I tried. The headache is enough I'm going to stretch this one out a couple
  9. OK, so today I actually did what I planned to do yesterday (at least I'm started) by getting out and walking in teh sun over lunch. Got down to the river to take a look at how far they are coming on putting up the new bridge. Yani - Thanks for the suggestions. You are absolutely right about steamed vegies having more flavor than most other types. My 10-year old "I hate everything green" even likes steamed broccoli - at least once in a while. On that note, everyone, one other way to help keep eating healthy easier, not too expensive, and more fun is to remember to look to add col
  10. Count me in too. There is about 40% of me that could go away. Working with Dr and Psycholoist at present. Trying to figure out the "Why?" when I know what I need to do, do I not just do it. Goal for today: Better attitude Goal for tonight: Get on the treadmill!
  11. If twin cities is not too far away, consider Valspar in minneapolis or 3M in St. Paul.
  12. Thanks all. It is the coven, and I think I'll go with the green and grey. I'll have to see if can pick up the "moldy skin" (if for no other reason than the name is great!) at the local store and move forward then. I appreciate the suggestions.
  13. I'm new at this whole painting thing, but am enjoying it very much. Truth be told, I'm currently working on about my 5th or 6th mini, but it is the first "people" type. I'm painting the three witches and am trying to figure out how to get hte skin to look right - it seems to me they are older rather "crone" like (OK, background shows, I'm envisioning the witches from Macbeth) and am not sure how to make the skin look like it should. I've thought about using the fair skin and adding some blue or grey or green, but am wondering if anyone has played around with this before. Any suggestions
  14. If you don't mind the additional suggestion, I've been using tongue depressers. They are light, about the right size, and have a flat surface so I can set the mini upright when I'm not holding it. - N
