The legacy order history will be available hopefully by the end of the week. email me if you can't get your store email to work.

Cool.  I reference my old orders quite a bit when they are a handy one click away.

As a retailer, I have some issues with the redesign, but it probably works better for regular customers this way.

So, does this redesign mean we are close to being able to order individual minis from multi-packs again? I don't even remember what it was called anymore (Boneyard? Isle of Lost Minis?), but I liked it.  Sometimes you just need 10 Badgers or 20 pairs of boots (if not both)...

  2. While I personally don't mind boxes as a retailer, I'm sure they do get complaints from other retailers about boxes.  If someone has all their minis on hooks, finding a place for a box isn't necessarily easy.  You want to keep like product grouped together after all.  Plus they can't just use a generic box, so there are printing costs associated with that sort of "quick fix".

If the weapon sprues are brittle (as noted above), they need to be packaged so they don't jumble around.  It's probably a little more involved than throwing an extra sheet of foam in there (which also costs money).  Viridius and Mudgullet ended up in a bag in their blister, but it was likely more cost effective for the bigger minis to do that (it still took a long time, I lost a sale of Mudgullet when the DM who had been asking me for it made it past that encounter).

  3. Thanks.  Yeah, I was pretty sure it was 2 pieces, but it is kind of hard to tell and they definitely don't fit smooth.  I'll have to green stuff it together for him.

Checked the mini over on beta.reapermini.com and there it is listed as multipart.

Also, on the unpainted picture, the blade points forward, but on the painted picture, it points backwards.

Ha!  I didn't even think to check the painted ones...

  4. I special ordered a Cleric of Urgathoa for a customer and it came in multiple pieces.  It *looks* like this was intentional to me, but the scythe doesn't sit very well in what (I believe) is the socket.  My customer believes it's broken (and I can't definitively say it's not).  Is it supposed to be 2 pieces?  If it is, have others had issues trying to seat the scythe into the mini?  I just don't want to reorder it and end up facing the same issue...

Man, I hope you've got a good turnaround on those Citadel paints.

Yeah, Citadel paints are the most returned product due to quality issues across all my product lines (D&D books come in second) and even when I dealt directly with GW my reps gave me issues about returning them.  They're also my highest shrinkage product (that I can track, I'm sure the loose dice and Magic bulk are worse), which is why they are closer to the front than both Reaper and Army Painter.  Add on the short discount and I'm even less of a fan, but they do sell well...

  6. For those of you who remember me, I thought I would post a quick update on my my store - since I've moved yet again!  Although it was only 2 miles this time, I did go from ~2100 sf to ~6000 sf - so I've got some breathing room (again).

Since this IS the Reaper forums, I'll keep it relevant with some gratuitous shots of my paint and minis selection!  Look at all that Bones mini goodness (with some Dark Heaven, Chronoscope, Warlord, and Pathfinder sprinkled in)...

  7. If it's the one that is going to become 77514, info from one of my distributors says sometime in February 2018.

Hmm, now for my own question...

    77581 Froghemoth

I have a customer who is waiting (im)patiently for this to be released, but I don't see it in my distributors listings.

  8. Yeah, it's not just Reaper.  I had to pick up copies of Eclipse Phase from Posthuman Studios at Gen Con because my distributor still didn't have it two months after it had been back in print.  It took them over a month after that before they got it in.  So that was over 3 months to get it in stock...

Good thing it wasn't a special order or anything.  Oh wait, it was.

  9. I asked about ordering the Bones Rack Deal for my store through my distributor and was basically told they would order it when they got around to it.  Neither of my major distributors have updated their Rack Deal listings.  Needless to say I ordered it direct from Reaper.

I've noticed *some* outages (and some apparently got NIC'ed), but the majority of Bones are available from Reaper (and metal is cast on site, so I'm assuming it's readily available, I don't sell much of that).  A store will give up a couple of points ordering direct (and it won't count towards volume with a distributor), but we can get it.  If they're saying they can't get it direct from Reaper, well, I don't want to call them liars, but...I don't know how to finish that sentence.

  10. Magic, Legend of the 5 Rings, and Star Wars artist Drew Baker not only has a playmat level, he has also offered to join anyone as part of their group if you choose the RPG session or private booster draft levels.

Less than 2 days to go!  If you're local or even semi-local, please help out.  There's even a level for 4 pint glasses with shipping if you're not local!

  11.

We are also seeing a good growth spike in Paint and will be working more assertively next year to get MSP into more stores.

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter...

Most of the time when a Distributor orders a Rack Deal we do a Drop Ship of the item directly to the retailer. This is common for us, and we are happy to do it.

Are these the same Rack Deals you have on the website?  As long as the distributor doesn't wait to combine it with their regular orders, I may be better off doing it through them...

Side note, you changed the Bones Rack Deals recently, messing up my plans.  *shakes fist*

... return unsold Reaper product for credit towards paint or just for newer (and more likely to sell) miniatures.

I can probably find a few that I should return...
