  1. I didn't bother trying, but I did look to see if Dargrin had visited me. He's not in my latest visitors. But I did notice I'm only rated 4 stars (out of 5), which means I must have pissed off someone...
  2. Actually, multiclassing any caster in 3.x was weak sauce. It kept you away from the higher level spells longer... And, as per RAW, Paladins that multiclass can never return to being a Paladin. No HR necessary.
  3. Well, they ARE, but when they're casting, they aren't beating things and when they're beating things, they aren't casting. Plus, I don't really like the sculpt...
  4. I haven't played a lot, but I've won with my Goblins. Of course, I play lower point games and pack my armies with as many Hill Giants as will fit. My Goblins are Hill Giant delivery devices... There are BL that are still rooting for the Goblins. We know they got the shaft, they have their supporters! Why do you think the clans came back? Not sure I agree with throwing in the Bugbears or other evil spellcasters though. I would rather see actual Goblins get the love (yes, I know, technically, Bugbears are Goblins, but they're more like an older sibling that gets all the attention)...
  5. Apparently bacon makes chocolate better as well. I've never had one, but one of my friends says they're pretty darn good... Yeah, I know that's not what the topic was about, but at least you can actually eat what's at my link.
  6. I have seen "paint pens", but quite honestly, you're better off using regular paint and brushes. They don't work so well... There are Micron pens that you can use for blacklining and freehand work though. They work pretty well, but you would use them for small details, not painting a whole mini.
  7. Wouldn't that be 'none too leased' I stand corrected...
  8. Or try to get you to lower your price. Or bid in violation of your TOS. Or complain about something that was written in the auction (or shown in the picture). Or say that it never arrived when the DC shows it's there. Or leave a Neg without even trying to resolve the issue... There's lots of things a buyer can do to be a jerk beyond not paying. I have people who have bought (and paid) from me on my banned bidder list because I don't want to deal with them again.
  9. Well, more profit, yes. But they've spent so much on it that it actually made it into Hasbro's quarterly statements. While some development costs are shared with Magic Online (since it was the nebulous "online initiatives at WotC"), I'm sure quite a bit of that was the DDI (since, I believe, MTGO was in open beta last year, so most of it's development costs would have been considered in previous statements).
  10. It was another Lane, not Lanet. But the Night Hag was still none too pleased...
  11. Just talk? Something tells me there would be more than that... Hey, I used to sell Kirby's. I would never have suggested it as a gift, but there were quite a few women who would tell their husbands that they could buy one as a gift (at the time they were $1,000+, I'm sure they're more now). Since I have big family and I live far away from them, I've gotten a lot of crappy gifts. Most are long since lost to the memory, but my cousin once got me a pair of socks and some cheese. She thought it was funny... A few years back we started just giving out one gift (in a Secret Santa sort of way). I think I've gotten just money or a gift card every year since. Not bad (you can always use cash), but certainly no thought (well, my uncle did give me a gift card to Home Depot after I bought my first house, which did show some thought). The cash is usually origami-ed into some design, but that's almost worse than just having it in a envelope - because now I'm destroying what work you did put into it when I actually use it...

Well, your "understanding" may be that things are "in the toilet", but a quick check of tin prices (on the LME) shows they are still up there. In fact, it looks like tin prices are still above where they were 2 years ago, to say nothing of the historical average tin was running before the uptick of 2003 (which, BTW, was when I got into buying minis - that's what I call timing). Even with the drop in demand, the tin market is still in a deficit. So, what "things" do you "buy for a living"? I'm betting it's not tin... And I don't recall anyone saying Reaper was a martyr before you. You came in and thread crapped - big surprise that people are setting you right. If it was really such a "win" for Reaper, they would take metal for trade through the mail and not just a handful of customers once a year...
  13. I've never had DirecTV, but I had problems with Dish Network. Enough that I canceled them within the 30 day grace period - then they STILL tried to charge me for early cancellation! Which makes my hate for them even worse. Beware of them...
  14. If it's the "quote" that I heard, it actually doesn't say core 4.0 is selling bad - it says that the supplements are selling 'just as well' as the last supplements for 3.5. Now, some people take that to mean that 4.0 sales are dropping off dramatically, but the last supplements for 3.5 (Magic Item Compendium) were pretty good - and more useful than normal supplements released 8 years into a products life cycle. Plus, the DDI Compendium is cannibalizing the sales of the dead tree supplements. Like I said before - if 4.0 tanks, it's the DDI that's going to do it in...
  15. Exactly, if they actually did their job, you would at least know what to expect...
  16. Ouch, I feel for you. I'm not really sure what exactly "Home Inspectors" do, since, if you read their contracts, they don't even guarantee their work. When I bought my last house, the home inspector missed the fact that the water heater was over 15 years old (and was only supposed to be good for 9 years). Guess what I had to replace? I had my commercial building inspected (which really only means it costs double what a normal home inspection costs) and the guy completely missed a problem with one of the apartment toilets ($400 later), one of the radiators (jury's still out), and multiple problems with the roof (ditto). Yet when I bought my first house "as is" (it was owned by the city and HUD acted as a middle man), I did my own due diligence (since they weren't going to repair anything that may have been found) and pretty much identified all the problems that came up (I missed a problem the stove since there was no electric, but it was still usable). Oops, sorry for the Home Inspectors rant there, I'm just commiserating with you. Really, I am...
  17. I'm digging the blue skin, interesting. If I had 2 quibbles, it's that the blue's teeth are "too clean" (they are Orc's after all) and they need a shot of Dull Cote to cut down the shine. Who is the second one (with the axe)? I'm sure it's a Reaper, but I can't place the number...
  18. We used to not be able to have melons at the radio station, because a teacher in the front of the building was allergic to them. In fact, big (neon orange) signs were posted throughout the building proclaiming her severe allergies. Apparently the allergen in them could make it's way through the air conditioning vents. Seeing as most fresh food sits out at the grocery store, as well as the melons, I often wondered how she could even survive if she was that allergic...
  19. Yeah, I didn't get the tail in my package, but I don't think I was supposed to...
  20. Doesn't the Tiki Golem have a squirrelly 'pilot' in his back? depending on who you ask around here that would be... 2727, 3163 or 2216 The one that I believe looks like me is 50027, but then again I'm the modest type What about 2044? Runs and hides...
  21. Apparently Reaperbryan is biased against 4.0 (note who made the poll). Oh wait, he plays in 2 games if it, I'm sure he hates it... Ignore polls if you don't like what they show, tell me that 4.0 HASN'T split the player base. With a straight face.
  22. Far from the norm, I doubt more than 1% of the population bothers to get up early for BF. Especially this year, I found lots of deals still available well after noon...
