Will save failed....now I need to make a relex check to see if I can stop my wallet from opening....

There is at least one figure missing from that page. There was a male version of the dwarf fighter, which was released in the last league promo kit. Unlike most of the kits which came with two of the promo sculpt, that one had one dwarf and one reprint of the promo gnoll archer. Of the 'unreleased' ones, I've seen the ettercap for sale (rarely), and lost an auction for the clay golem.

If you choose to get more of these sets, the dwarves are on the small side. They scale well with Hasslefree, if that helps. Some of the later series sculpts were really good. The brass dragon is great. The azer and salamander are still my 'go to' choice for either of those monsters.

I'm in the same boat Aku-chan.

I was going through my halflings a little more carefully tonight, and realized I am missing the druidess. I do, however, have two male fighters. I guess it's time to get ahold of Mike/Petra and see if I can do a trade.

Cancelled Elemental Village - 28mm Tabletop Terrain
Mattnuke replied to SamuraiJack's topic in Kickstarter
Those are phenomenal! I'm sad that I'm going to have to wait until after the Kickstarter to try to pick a couple up (vacation comes first!) -
Personally I'm most curious about how the female warrior with the armored hoopskirt came out, since I think it was provoked by my suggestion (based on my Neverwinter MMO main char). One of the best of the bunch, IMO.I'm also rather fond of the honeybee mage, the bald archer, the older halfling with books, the mole, the militia piper, the militia male slinger, the mounted knight withe the ram, the kids, the lass with the pigtails and frying pan, the tiefling, the riding pig, the female fighter withe the hawk shield, the cleric with the big hammer, and the treant. I guess that's the short list.... Badump-bump-tish I pun without trying..... Of note, my treant is not sticky.

Mine showed up by surprise today. The greens don't do them justice. There are some really nice sculpts this time around.

She's awesome! Nice job on such a small figure.

If you live in US, do it, cheaper you will not get it again, and you waiting time will be much less as ours. Weeks ago, I could even still do the Rum&Bones 1 KS, but I do not have the money,... I wish I had that option....although saving cash is more of a priority right now...

I guess I don't look at the total time very well. I would have said, 1-5 hours for a table top figure. Of course, that doesn't include priming, or basing, or initially reposing the figure (which I do a lot to prevent loads of identical clones). Unfortunately, I don't think we are all talking apples and apples here to compare. Differences in painting styles play a big part in the speed one can achieve (but keep practicing, you will get faster with practice). There's also the term 'table top'. It's a bit vague. I've seen table top jobs that are as simple as a base coat and a wash. What I consider 'table top' is a number (4-7) of wet blended layers. I find I can get more variation by blending right on the mini as I go. Lately I prime white, lay down my deepest base and go lighter from there. I pick out eyes and fiddly bits, and make sure they are all painted. I go back and paint some shadowing if needed. For me, that's about 2-4 hours of work on a medium sized mini. Larger figures take me less time (the canvase is BIG!) and multiple similar figures take less time.

One of the two Dreg Butchers (03688) is female and definately fits my idea of what a ghoul is like. Bonnie, muumuu zombie (50293), is pretty good too (depending on how era specific you are). One of the two Vampire Spawn (03383) has a feral ghoul look.

Nice job! That looks like a WotC Earth Elemental from the early 3rd edition line (1998-2001ish) with some serious base work.

Why, oh why, did it have to be 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Davy Jones-esque pirates? So much for my 'being good' streak on Kickstarter!

Thanks guys! Sorry I haven't been around much lately, life and work have been too busy.

Fulfilling Rail Raiders Infinite by Soda Pop Miniatures
Mattnuke replied to pcktlnt's topic in Kickstarter
Ahh. Yeah, I've heard that one left much to be desired. I can say that I've had excellent luck with Forgotten King and Ninja All-Stars. Rail raiders just isn't my cup of tea though, so I'll be sitting this one out.- 55 replies

Bryan answered this question here in February. - Short answer, No ETA. I really wish some of the alternate pose Warlord figures were available without having to buy a whole group of them. I'd love to get a couple of the bloodstone gnomes alternates, but there's no way I'm spending a bunch to get an additional 6-7 figures that I don't want.

Three new ogres.....yes please! Really though, these will be nice (along with bones) to fill the ranks of monsters that have always been cost prohibitive for the average DM to get in large amounts. For me, it's a no brainer. Get 1 prepaint for $3-$15 (which I still repaint) or get 3 minis for $3-$4. It's why I love bones so much.

Fulfilling Masmorra: Dungeons of Arcadia from CMON
Mattnuke replied to Orlando_the_Technicoloured's topic in Kickstarter
Pass - $65 seems like a bunch for 15 more chibi heros.....much like Arcadia, if it had more monster minis (or even some!) I'd be in.- 15 replies

I can make it through the MST3K version, but only just. They're actually Kickstarting a sequel to Manos. It will either be wonderfully terrible or terribly wonderful!

The pre-assembly thing bugs me too. It's the one thing I would change about both of Soda Pop's chibi games.
