  1. Well, first of all a big thanks for all your comments and encouragements. The techniques I used for the tombstones are simple. After a grey drybrush was done over the black basecoat I did a light brown wash on some areas. You can see it at the bottom of the larger tombstone back. Then, I did some tapping (give some small repetitive tap with the tip of the brush) with green paint to create that lichen effect. The trick with tapping is not to cover all the surface, but only some zones to create a vapours effect. I also did some light purple wash over the skin on the neck of the zombies. I like this technique as it is easy to do and I think it give some depth to the main colors. Thanks for your comment Kang, I definitely wanted the cloths colors to pup out. I’m happy you also enjoy it.

  6. I think you did a really nice job, good color choice and nice details. My only advise would be to always try to complete the mini you start. It’s sometime hard to be inspired by some mini but completing your minis will make you practice and improve your techniques. You can always come back to an uncompleted mini to try some new techniques like highlighting and wash. Congratulation on this first one and continue to have fun painting time.
  7. Sorry, but I’ve been having that foliage for years and I don’t have the brand label no more. I’m pretty sure it’s not a Woodland Scenics product. As for the hair, I simply glued some Woodland Scenics Field Grass to the mini and painted it black with brown points. I wanted to try this for a long time now and I think this mini was just fine for a first try. Thanks to everyone for all the comments.

  12. Wow, this one looks phenomenal! The glass effect on the blade, the NMM gold and the highlighted armour details are absolutely beautiful. Maybe he deserves a better, more detailed base.
  13. You did a really nice job on those Ogres. The armour plates and freehand on the first one are great. The rusty NMM, the skin and hair color are great too and the snow on the bases is very realistic. Thumbs up!
  14. Tiny Kobolds, sculpted by Ben Seins.
  15. I like your Air Elemental too. The sun light effect is really nice. I also like your color choice for the Water Demon.
  16. I painted this one with the same color sheme used on my larger Air Elemental. I think the color choice makes them look like dust devils lifting sand on their way. I've added some more hay to complete the base.
