  1. Gaming counts! (as long as you are using miniatures lol)
  2. Hey y'all, Is everyone ready for WWMD this year? I've got the miniatures for my DnD party and I am trying to decide if I want to start the mod before the day or just wait.
  3. This is so cool I'm glad people are interested. Anyone have any special plans or goals in mind? I think this year I will try to paint a miniature to represent the character in my DnD group. Its a big group so there are 8 characters. Whats that about 3 hours be fig? I think I can do that.... Oh and I couldn't leave my favorite GM out in the cold so I had him pick one to paint for him. Which brings the total to 9 so each one is just under 3 hours. I'm hoping to have them all cleaned, prepped, and primed before the start. Of course, I'm thinking of converting some of them but I haven't decided if that will happen before I start....
  4. What: World Wide Miniatures Day 2020 (COVID-19 Edition) -- its the 7th one can you believe it?!?! When: July 18th(ish) – I say (ish) cuz it’s flexible. If you can’t do it this day, do the next day, or the day after or the day before or the week before. This event is designed to be fun and inclusive to everyone as much as possible. Where: Your place. Be safe. Stay home. Use discord/twitch/zoom/hangouts or whatever else you like. Feel free to add links to your chats below if you like. What: This is the fun part. WWMD is a celebration of this hobby we love while enjoying sharing our obsessions with others who can truly understand. Also to bring in new people to this wonderful and engrossing pastime. How: We celebrate it by doing anything related to the hobby. Anything! Some activities include: Painting, cleaning, prepping, priming, purchasing, trading, reading about, watching videos, organizing, talking about, teaching classes, researching, playing games with miniatures, planning miniature games, building a gaming table, paint rack, display case, basing miniatures, collecting basing materials, writing posts or articles, photographing miniatures, constructing sentences with the word miniature in them. Really ANYTHING that can be connected back to this hobby. Did I say anything? Cost: Just your sanity. You are a miniature painter -- this is probably a freebee for you. Motto: No rules. No Prizes. No regrets. Why: Really? You have read this far and you are asking why? The simple answer is – because we can and we should. But really…. WHY: Why not? Oh yeah if you participate I will send you a poker chip commemorating the event. So that’s pretty cool. All you have to do is DM me with your address so I can send you one. Special Challenges Marathon Challenge: Can you do something miniatures related for 24 hours taking breaks only to eat and go to the bathroom? This challenge is for you. It is based on the honor system but it would be really cool to post pictures of your work in progress. Half Marathon Challenge: Same as the marathon only its 12 hours. 5K Challenge: 5 hours – you get the idea. Community Builder Challenge: This one is new and simple. Do ANYTHING that benefits the miniatures community. Paint miniatures for your gaming group, teach someone to paint, build terrain for your games table, and supporting your local game store. Anything that helps build and support this hobby. Charity Challenge: It is back by popular demand— well it was popular with me anyway — the Charity Challenge. This one is simple. Paint something – sell it – donate the money to charity. I trust you – it’s the honor system.

  17. I had this happen once when I was using the wrong needle with the wrong cap. are there bubbles coming back into the paint cup?
  18. Old glue was my first guess too -- are you sure it wasn't sitting on the shelf for a long time before you bought it? I've gotten old glue that way once....
  19. They could be just as close as they could get -- sort of a 2017 version of the old series. The "Hunt" would still be preserved because they are not the "real" thing, just a replica. Like a copy of a rare coin or something. It may not be very practical but its an idea worth talking about. :)
  20. My answer is simple.... All of them. :)
  21. I talked about this at reapercon but I didn't really do anything with the idea..... Until now..... Wouldn't it be cool if Reaper released a special "All the colors of ReaperCon" paint set which would include..... wait for it.... All the specialized colors from ReaperCons of the past! I KNOW that I would pick one up and I bet others would too. I would make a great gift.... wouldn't that be cool? What do you think?
  22. I made it home late Sunday evening (why don't I just wait until Monday to fly out?). I can't wait to see everyone next year. Only 50ish weeks!
  23. I wouldn't be the only tainted gnome in the south of France.... :)
  24. I just wanted to say a special thank you to everyone at Reaper who made this year so wonderful. You all made this year great and every year it seems to get better. you all ROCK! Also to thanks to all the volunteers for helping out so that the rest of us could have a good time. I was going to volunteer but then I realised I was just a self-centered SOB. you all ROCK! And thanks to all the vendors who provided help and support was will as an outlet for my cash. You also ROCK! Lastly to everyone else at Reapercon 2017. You (we?) all ROCK! See you next year!
