  1. Here is a familiar face from a line gone by. I've had him for nearly twenty years now. He's been painted and dipped a number of times until he was finally given his proper look in '09. Still not happy with his face but I like the frosting and the regrowth in his hair. I am still in the process of adapting the baby from a Townsfolk pack to look like Toby and so I can pin him to the "stage".
  2. There is one already in the Shadowrun Rockers and Riggers 4-pack by Ral Partha c. 1989-92: First three images on this search. I have one painted that I'll post on the Show Off thread.

  4. Do you want me to post my stats here or some other way...?
  5. Optional Traits from the APG? I am making a Dwarf Rogue, and I was looking at Gold-sniffer and Desert-child.
  6. It's possible. What are you in need of/allowing?
  7. Second session played tonight. Fast Zombies not as effective as I had hoped. Still fun when used in conjunction with regular zombies. Party nearly got thrashed in a three way split. Summoner tried to maneuver behind remaining zombies encountered a choker; Alchemist chased fleeing NPC ally to find him a traitor; Witch ran to help Summoner; leaving Elven Fighter alone in the corridor with two archer zombies. Summoner was on the last round he could possibly roll to stabilize. In short: 6 hour game session, 13 encounters, 1 character perilously close to death, 2 levels gained, 7 days to prepare for next week.
  8. We only got through about six or seven encounters (which is good when you consider that I was in a Rolemaster game the night before and we had two). They encountered one goblin zombie but he was of the fast variety although I do not think they realized it. Most of the encounters were far too easy for 1st level play in my opinion. I'm going to juice things up a bit in the next session. Lucky thing is that zombies keep the weapon proficiencies from life so I will be attacking them with short bows when they encounter a larger group of Gob-Zombies. They have a Fetchling Summoner in the party and his Eidolon is really filling the tank role and killing much of everything with its reach attacks. The Eidolon will be springing traps in short order though. Also in the group is an Elven Fighter, a Human Alchemist, and a Human Witch. I provided an NPC Cleric when it looked like they would be short in the healing/channeling area, but he is worshiping Vecna and not really helpful in those areas anyway. My favorite part is the NPC Cleric of Vecna (my campaign setting was originally set up for 3.5) that is posing as a Cleric of Wee Jas. I created him with an 18 Wisdom and an 8 Dex. He's a klutz and the party is protecting him and keeping him safe, although he has yet to do anything useful for them. He trips, drops his stuff, loses initiative and has them all snowed. Not one has done a Sense Motive check on him. The best part was my players reactions when I rolled a 31 total on Bluff check while everybody else was rolling Perception checks and from the back of the party they hear, "Has anybody seen my holy symbol?" They were all "OMG this guy is so useless," while they were laughing.
  9. I'll know what they think tonight. Encounters planned with: a single runner; paired standard; paired standard with a single runner; four standard with two runners; along with the standard dungeon faire of molds, rats, and spiders. My wife says they have more to fear from the wild animals as my monsters tend to roll low and die fast but my wild animals pummel parties.
  10. I am running my first game of Pathfinder after years of 3.0/3.5 for a group I have played in for the last couple months. I am running my campaign world that is being converted over from 3.5. They will literally be playing in the footsteps of the original crew but diverging significantly. In their introductory adventure they will be in the undercity a scant two days after the original crew and dealing the zombified remains of goblins. Now do I just leave them as regular zombies or do I make a few of them Fast Zombie Variants? Would that be too cruel?
  11. I almost forgot the place of interest... Bookman's Entertainment Exchange, one in Phoenix and one in Mesa (+4 others elsewhere in the state). http://www.bookmans.com/our-stores/phoenix http://www.bookmans.com/our-stores/mesa They may or may not have some ancient treasure of gaming, or some new one, but even if they don't it's still worth the trip. Save room in your suitcase for some use item of worth from here. I found the "Attack at Weathertop" set MIB for $5.

  13. Hello, Warlady. Nice to meet you.
  14. That would be close to my neck of the woods. I know of Imperial Outpost in north Phoenix. They carry Reaper, but I'm not sure of how big a selection they have. They also carry several other lines including imported lines. http://maps.google.com/maps/place?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=s&hl=en&biw=1085&bih=621&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=Imperial+Outpost&fb=1&gl=us&hq=Imperial+Outpost&hnear=0x872ba7c2c0c592c1:0xd10fc215694e771b,Mesa,+AZ&cid=11882175907152529987 I have seen all three lines at Gamer's Inn in Mesa, but they don't have a real strong selection of Reaper. This is the closest shop to me, but the atmosphere of the store and the "alignment" of the staff leave something to be desired. I don't visit much. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Game+Nights&aq=&vps=2&sll=40.245992,-99.404297&sspn=31.803966,61.875&gl=us&ie=UTF8&hq=Game+Nights&hnear= I recommend Game Depot in Tempe. They have a wall of all the Reaper lines and I have seen smatterings of the others you mentioned as they test their market for them. I've been going there for years. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Game+Depot+Tempe&aq=&vps=3&sll=33.393756,-111.803827&sspn=0.004488,0.007553&gl=us&ie=UTF8&hq=Game+Depot&hnear=Tempe,+Maricopa,+Arizona
  15. He actually has a very doggish face to begin with instead of the standard pig-faced orc, and when it comes right down to it orcs are the guard dogs of the fantasy genre.
  16. Thank you. I haven't actually decided on the heraldry I want on the shield as I haven't really decided on it for the kingdom he represents. The spearman that goes with him has a round shield that is quartered as well. I will do my best to match it.
  17. My buddy is all about the orc as well. Sent him photos today and he loves the breastplate and the blade. I have three more figs to do the same quality on. Tension is high. The swordsman is for the city watch and and similar duties on the game table, he's not the top of the line in sculpts but I don't have any reason not to practice my techniques on him or the rest of his squad.
  18. The Black Orc Hero is one of four that I am painting for my old high school buddy. He's running D&D 3.5 and has a player with a Half-Orc Barbarian that made a breast plate out of the scales of a white dragon. The swordsman is from a pack of men at arms. The livery is just for that generic army feel as I have two bowman, a crossbow and a spearman in the same colors, just not finished with them. I added a crossbow with bayonet to represent a fighter I am playing in a Pathfinder game. The crossbow is pinned to his back to prevent its loss.
  19. I used to do really absurd lengths of time at once on projects. I think the longest was in the 12-14 hour range. It was about eight years ago and I didn't have the responsibilities I do now. I have a bit of an obsessive personality so I would get in the zone and forget about everything else. I would always promise myself breaks "right after I get this one last bit here..." which of course led to the next bit.
  20. Check here. I counted four in Las Vegas. http://www.reapermini.com/StoreLocator
  21. Heresy... Once of the two reasons he was sentenced to death was "not believing in the gods of the state". The other was corrupting the minds of the youth of Athens, bit wordy that one...
  22. "Self-realization. I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?" -Val Kilmer, Real Genius
  23. @ Inarah - Thanks. @ Ferox - That is pretty much the effect I wanted as Black Dragon have acid breath weapons. When I do true fire effects I do go with a bright center and darken towards the crests. Example: Lesser Fire Elemental. It is also only second time I have done OSL. I really need more practice, but thanks.
