Kangaroo you're Bridge of Sorrows is simply awesome, so is the Thunderbolt mountain Clutch of Fear. You said you painted 15 last year, did you post the others?
All this talk of Dragons, I realized my little collection is sorely lacking. I have a plastic one from Reaper ( i never felt inspired to paint). a really old Lead one from Citadel I just got, and that's it. Rather sad.
so i just ordered 4 from Mithril, including the Vengeance of Smaug, the flightless Fire Dragon, Scatha the worm, and a cold Drake. They are huge, up to 700 grams and 8 inches tall. Intimidating too, some are 12 pieces or more. I couldn't resist the prices, just too good and shipping from Ireland was only 22 bucks for 4 pounds of metal.
thanks a Lot @H.C.😉
Most of the 15 from that year are posted as I painted them so you can just look them up undermy name. Currently I have about 60 or 70 painted dragons and another 60 or so waiting for me to get better. I actually have a few pictures I need to get posted from before I got sick!
You'll get the dragon bug too if you're not careful.

For sure, i can count one one hand all the metal flying Dragons ever made, and that's why. Some like Ral Partha's Bridge of Sorrows had real stability issues and took really good modeling skills to pull off.
Anyway, you got a very collectible piece and you did it justice, take good care of it
All 3 of those are very cool, would love to own any of them. Luckily still available for a reasonable price. Oddly enough, the same company in Ireland owns the rights to both Prince August and Mithril mini's, although most of Prince August is OOP.
I am lucky to have the entire mithril set i got as a lot on Ebay as well as the recently finished Bridge of Sorrows. just because I want to show off, link is below:

I suspected as much. But It is a nicer softer, bread than the other one.
Bread isn't supposed to be soft. Dinner rolls are soft. Bread is chewy and full of flavor meant to stand in as a plate you can eat. Wonder bread is the scourge of humanity!
BTW: I disappeared for a while due to serious medical issues. On the road to recovery but it's a long one.
Nice to see things haven't changed much!

Ah well, smaug fu was not with me today. Flying metal dragons are pretty hard to find out there. It wasn't until the plastics and resins came out that the flying poses got more popular. Still a nice find and a nice history.
Though it is pretty neat that mithril miniatures has three smaug miniatures
MB422 Smaug the Dragon Triumphant
M62 Smaug Bilbo and Treasure
MB345 Vengeance of Smaug
And a lot of other lord of the rings when it was awsome books, before it was a famous movie or a swarm of board games

I think that is mithril miniatures vengeance of Smaug MB345 but hes missing a few pieces: the Base, the tongue and the little wings at the back of the ears. I could be wrong but its the right body shape and limb position.
Nice job with what you had though and i like what you did with the base.

thanks everyone! Sorry to be off grid for so long. Had some major medical issues recently. I will describe more later but for now: Really rough time over the holidays, getting better but its a slow recovery.

Hey, sorry for the long dry spell. My Adrenal gland (I only have 1) failed over the holidays (go figure not what I wanted for Christmas!) but i am slowly getting better and beginning to do something other than curl in a ball an moan. hope to be back up to at least answering forum notes in a bit.

Looks Fantastic! I think the corpse is a pretty good 'no Swimming' all by itself.

It is good that Brutus does not have my previous hound's digestive system. apples and bananas were the answer to the worlds methane deficit. Survival and closed windows depended on the doggies not getting bananas!

Harumph! You'll never find this at my house. The 1st edition books are right next to the 7th Sea and Numenera books on the first bookshelf next to my desk as are all my other rpg books. Characters are filed In folders by campaign.
This might be a hobby I care about, especially that particular edition, even if it's rare for me to get to play it.
On a side note, good set but it's missing some great pieces like the survival guides unearthed arcana, and MM2!

Thanks everyone! I too really love the eyes and I really want to know what it is looking at in the distance. I am also glad this is finally finished! I should have thought of what a bunch of other people did and go for spots or stripes but I, for whatever reason, wanted solid colors. Making that interesting took quite a bit of time.
I am also happy to actually have something painted. these last few months have been pretty heavy at work and its been, work, eat, watch a little mindless entertainment and sleep. Overall a pretty boring cycle so hopefully i will have a little more time this year.

Hi! Just a little paint job from my desk and shelf of shame to show that I am doing something to do with painting.
this piece I bought because i thought it was cute but the smooth surfaces proceeded to haunt me for a long long time. Its not my best work but i love the eyes and how the shock on the alien's eyes looks like it stepped on something that wont come off.
anyway, hope you enjoy!

Selections made and replacements added - I'll try to get at least one picture tomorrow; but I'm demonstrated bad at that part - and.. I'm just waiting for the address from the next in line. ^^;
Please feel free to guess what I put in, for I'll not speak of it here. ^_~

@Citrine my sympathy as well. Losing anyone is hard and your parents moreso.
Well recovery os a pain. I am now a proud owner of a new condition: Addison's disease. It's permanent but survivable
I beg to differ. Hospital room in the US is 2000-5000 USD per night. Each country has their own was of dealing with the high cost of Healthcare.
Besides. THIS is the most expensive overnight stay in America!
100,000 per night in Las Vegas
