Here is a little about myself:
My name is Jim Cook (cookie or cookster to my friends). I'm a Quality Assurance Manager at a small custom cable and harness manufacturer and have been for going on 18 years now. I am married and have 2 children, 1 almost 18 and the other almost 13. No wonder I'm greying so much.
I just recently got into seriously painting miniatures about 6 months ago and up until Dec. 2009, I had not heard of or seen any Reaper miniatures. Wow, things have changed.
I used to paint miniatures back in the day (early to late 80's) for the D&D, AD&D, and Battletech games I was either a player in or was DMing, but those were mainly to have a character out there.
I am now trying to learn the new paints and techniques, so that I can get myself up to contest quality and maybe be able to do some commission work in a few years. I would like to retire from my current job in a few years (getting burnt), get a part time job at a hobby shop and sell painted miniatures as supplemental income. That's the goal anyway.
Thanks for looking, and have a great day!
