  1. It's always a pleasure painting Reaper Dwarfs.
  2. A pair of Clerics. Balthazar Ironfaith and Halbarad, Crusader Cleric. This was a wasted opportunity. I should have done some OSL from the glowing sword. Next time maybe...
  3. Nice work man! I like the golds.
  4. Thank you! Nothing too tricky. It's a base of Reaper Muddy soil then worked up various stages of Scale 75 Brown Leather and Golden Skin
  5. Zuun Akos and Old Wolf from Hasslefree Miniatures. These were a great opportunity to mess around with a few different skin tones.
  6. Kevoth-Kul the Black Sovereign. Am I the only person to have painted this? I usually like to take a look at other painted interpretations of minis that I'm considering to paint. I can't find a single one of this guy anywhere. I can't be the only one who likes it.
  7. My new years resolution was to do more of the things that make me uncomfortable. Freehand makes me very uncomfortable. I'm going to get over that this year and try and push my boundaries even further. The Eagle isn't quite as smooth as I'd like it to be but I'll leave it as is and improve on the next attempt.
  8. Thank you! Yes that is TMM. I often alternate between that and NMM. Sometimes even on the same mini.
  9. It's been a while since I've posted anything here. I have some making up to do. Forgive me. Dub Bullock. A most unpleasant painting experience. Mine was badly cast so I had to fix up a few spots. This is not something I'm good at. Greenstuff is my enemy. Thorvald, Dwarf Hero was an experiment in blue armour. I'm not sure if I'll do that again. Baeldrinahr, Rogue Fighter. I've painted this one before with a similar scheme.
  10. Thank you everyone for the kind words! This was an excellent learning experience.
  11. I've never been a fan of painting blue. I needed to get over that so this is how I did it. All in all I'm satisfied with how they turned out. Blue isn't so bad.
  12. Thank you! The Dwarf can be found right here... http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/dwarf wizard/latest/03455
  13. Two of each... It won't be enough. Thank you! It's an honour to hear that.
  14. A few recent painted models. I'm in love with the new Eli Quicknight and Tara the Silent. Both are superb sculpts and both will grace my paint table many many more times in the future. In fact I'm playing a Rogue in a Pathfinder with some new friends. I think the Eli mini will represent him quite well,,,
  15. Sana from Hasslefree Miniatures. I'm rarely ever completely happy with any of my paint jobs. This one is as close as it gets to satisfaction. I painted her up to look like Red Sonja for obvious reasons. What do you think?
  16. Thank you for noticing! It was too easy and common to go with the usual grey or white hair. I wanted to break that mold and give them a slightly different look.
  17. I've been working on these two for a very long time. Well over a year I think. It's nice to finally get them off the paint table and into the display cabinet.
  18. I rarely see this mini painted. I can't imagine why, it's a great sculpt. Anyway this is my version of Adowyn and Leryn.
  19. Your best work to date. I suppose that I could say that every time you post. Beautiful work!
  20. A pair of really fun Dwarfs to paint. The Ranger was particularly enjoyable. I think I need to try and paint dwarf hair something other than red. It always seems to be my go to colour when I paint them. I like that the red has a certain "pop" to it but it might be time to expand on my palette choices a little. Maybe next time...
  21. I wasn't confident enough to do it here. I haven't completely mastered the OSL technique yet so I'm very selective on where I use it. Next time...
  22. Another favourite of mine (to be honest I think all reaper miniatures are my favourite). The last time I painted this model I went with white armour. This time I thought I would see how black armour would turn out. I had to be careful not to make it too sinister looking so I off set the black with white ribbons and filigree. I like the result. Do you?
  23. Really nice attention to detail. I share your feelings on painting studded leather armour. It looks good in the end but it's still a pain to paint.
