  1. 03534 Sirithis in bones black would be awesome.
  2. I'd love to see the Necropolis Death Riders in translucent green/blue/purple and Count Vandrian in Bones Black.
  3. I have this model, there is no slave. It's exactly like 14016 except there are cobblestones on the flat part of the base.
  4. Me? What? Nothing... but if you chat up the cute little redhead working the Link and Lanthorn you might find love in those mischievous emerald green eyes... just sayin'. ;) And they say pimpin' aint easy...
  5. 1st edition books are definately worth it, they have great stories and tons of artwork. There are even army expansion books for 1st, but theyre soft cover. I have the Necropolis one and it has instructions on how to build a gaming table in the back.
  6. Seconding Warlord minis, specifically: 14186 Lord Vandrian 14171 Gadrun in translucent green 14149 Deathrider in translucent green Also: 03534 Sirithis, Succubus 03377 Rotpatch
  7. What level? If you havent messed around with 3.x before, the spell section can take a bit to wrap around.
  8. What were you trying to make work that didnt?
  9. Probably something you're feeding them. They should only be eating single malt scotch and PCs.
  10. Have you seen the Ranger power Hail of Arrows from Martial Power 2? Target: every enemy in RANGE!! If you were completely surrounded 40 deep on all sides, you could attack them all with a longbow, that would be 6400 attacks.
  11. A standard AOE in 3.x/Pathfinder has no to-hit roll (but saving throws for each person) and a single damage roll that will be applied in full, half, or not at all (depending on success and abilities). At medium levels, there might be energy resistance to subtract and at high levels there might be spell resistance to roll as well. Not too bad, really. Its been a while since Ive played 3.x, I forgot about that part. 4 switched to an attack vs reflex from spell goes off, everyone make reflex saves. It seems the burden of rolling is more on the attacker in 4.
  12. Normally, I'd take issue with sort of obvious edition-trolling but, in this case, it's actually true because 4e's version of Chain Lightning has the character attacking each and every enemy within 100 feet (20 squares). In large encounters this can take a heck of a long time. And is why I have a dice rolling app on my phone. Rolling the dice is actually the least time-intensive part of applying damage (and possible effects such as slides) to every enemy within 100 ft. But chain lightning doesnt do effects other that damage right? But its not a true AOE, you have to hit first and then roll to hit the next creature, with a limit of 3 creatures (?) I dont have my book at work so I will double check that. In 4e a true AOE power (blast/burst) requires separate to-hit rolls but only 1 damage roll for all the creatures you hit, and if they are minions and you do 1 damage, they die. AOEs with minion hordes is all sorts of fun. To do that in 3.x you would be rolling all the to-hits and all the damage seperately and any targets you didnt kill out right, you now need to track how much hit points they have left, in addition to any effects you caused.

  14. Hey, like what 4e did to the FR. Made certain places new and exiting, but still familiar. I also thought the backstory to the geography change was great - Magic happened. I liked how they "brought back" the Dragonborn and Teifling lands at the expense of the Egyptian styled Mulhorand, but I never really liked that area of the realms.
