  1. I know your true scheme...

    to get all our addresses

Oh yes. This way I can sneak up and surprise you when you least expect it. BUt don't expect it until I get out of nursing school and have the money to make the trip! :D

So until then, you are all safe.......which is a "relative" term. Bwahahahaha!

  2. I may just buy one of them thar' pens and see how it goes.

*takes crowbar and pries open mind*

Good man! Now, before you rush off a .005 is a really, really tiny pen point, great for eye lashes, pupils anything really small. .01 and .02 are bigger points and nice for medium sized work. A .05 is good for bigger work.. Since the actual Pigmata brand don't usually come in a blister pack you should be able to open the caps and check them out. Look for them in the art suppy section of you local hobby staore, or in the maker area of a art store. But go to a hobby place, they probably won't charge and arm and a leg.

  3. I will add some info here. At a local ceramic store they carry "stians" all stains are in, ceramic lingo, is acrylic paints. they carry a wide variety of "pearlized" colors. The paints are by Duncan, and you will normamlly only find Duncan paints at a ceramic store. There was one, don't remember the name at the moment, that was a white with a gold pearl tone to it. Used it on my water sorceress and then trimmed her out in a pale gold and a another pearl paint I have that is blue with gold tones in it. (will post pics. when I finish her) I am using the same white-gold pearl on the snail (I thought he would make a good familair too! Great minds thing a like!) Anyway, these Duncan stains have a great color choice. Bought some greens, blue-greens and blues to use on a mermaid I have here.

  4. Here is a quick and easy recipe for those not "cooking inclined" A fast way to make a London Broil Flank Steak. You want to score your meat on one side making a "checker baord like pattern. Let marinate for half an hour, (but longer is better!) in a Italian dressing/white wine combination. This should be the equivalent of 1/4 white wine to a cp of Italian dressing, but I prefer to go closer to a 50-50 mix. Set oven to broil and adjust your rack accordingly and cook. Watch closely to prevent over cooking. This is a quick way to make this dish, that taste good and will make people think you spent all day fixing it!

  5. I actually figured out the micron pens thing before even reading about it. I had some black one laying around and thought they would work really well for pupils and such. After seeing Jen's site and reading what she does with them I was excited. beyond a few "simple" trickes it never occured to use them for tattoos and such.

And I don't think it is cheating. Anything that enhances what you create and can take it to a new level is an inovation. I use many things and styles that are not "conventional" when I paint. And it works for me. Also makes my stuff "mine"  :D

  6. Micheal's is a wonderful place to shop! I find the local Hobby Lobby is equally as nice. They arel carry suppies for model train sets. Lots of terrain idea there. Even molds for making your own terrain. The section for the miniature doll houses can also turn up some fun things.

  7. 8.Always go after the other guys magic user

Ya, the magic users blow up when killed. Haven't played it but skimmed through the rules. My group isn't much for large scale battle scenarios. GOt the box set for the free minis inside and the info on the world. Thought it would be a "good" romping ground. No one in my group has the game, so they know nothing about the people, countries etc. Good place to keep the "on thier toes". That's why I would like to see more "history" and game info come out on the Reaper world.

  8. I tend to go with the dark browns. Ever since I saw the Elmore painting of Drizzi't, that's how I see them. I too have a "bunch" of drow to paint up, and I want to try a variaty of colors jst to make them all a bit different. I got a friend, Michelle who has come up with a wonderful color mix. Will have to ask her what she mixed.

  9. Rocks! GOt to love them. On Monday when we went to our drop off point o float down the river I saw some nice rocks. Started putting them in a bag on the floor of the truck! They were just the right size for large boulders. Found some nice one at my Grandpas that look like worn away building blocks. Kinda of squarish but worn at the edges.

  10. never seen an Easter Island head. probably cost more because of the detail. My two things are small 'resin" like peices, not much detail. Other thing you could do is have people here keep an eye for something like that, price them, and see if they are cheaper (and worth the shipping cost)

I saw an awsome "set up" of a sunken ruined castle. it was about two feet long and very expensive. Would like to find a way to justify buying it!  :D  (granted I am feamle and usually don't need to justify my spending, but it sure does help!)

  11. tanks are a bit pricy for me to use with miniatures
Must be really sticking it to you then. For my crumblin wall I paid $1.99 and the pillars were $3.99. And, I can get Double use out of them. If I get tired of them as props they can go into a fish tank! We have that problem too! Too many fish tanks!

  12. been in a store and saw something that would work just wonderful as a prop for miniatures. Whether it be for dispay or for gaming? The other day at the petstore in the fish dept I found some cool "ruins" to use. One was a crumbling corner wall of a building and the other was a row of Greek style pillars. So I got them. Wondering if anyone else does this

  13. Always wanted to have something to immortalize me.
†I could live with that! :D †Could fall back on my maiden name "Hess" And I would have to be a bad guy. They have more fun. I mean they have to otherwise Anakin would have never gone over to the dark side! And as Dixie put " †The perks are better, better hair, bigger bust, b*****n' outfits." Bwahahhaha

  14. The website for 100 kingdoms ahs a miniture page. On the feline page there is a cheetah. (here is the web site http://www.100kingdoms.com/) Also check out Draggletown as he carries a wide variety of brand names. he has everything listed by company or class. There might be something there. (website http://www.dragglestown.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv0

otherwise e-bay for the ral Partha box sets (reviously mentioned) and/ or maybe some grenadier minis. Look in the miniatures listed by "lot" too. Sometime you can buy the lot, take what you need and sell the rest back on e-bay.

  15. I have been using citadel absolute matte. And as long as I remember to let it dry completely before re-appling, I have been very happy with it. Picked up two "other" types at a ceramic stoe, one was a very matte matte and the other was called porcelain. It is supposed to have a procelain finish to it. Haven't tried it though, so I don't know how it will look, yet.
