  1. After the game's climax, the lich... throws a party. Seriously. As lich's go, it looks like he is pretty danged chill. The Auld Grump Dang it, looks like that isn't available as a tee shirt.
  2. With a FDM printer, yes - works pretty well. There are a bunch on Thingiverse. We haven't tried it with a resin printer yet. The Auld Grump
  3. Megan just discovered that the Baldur's Gate 3 kobolds sometimes hide in barrels. And those barrels can be added to your inventory. Kobold included. Larian Studios is kind of demented... (That bear scene is stuck in my head, forever....) The Auld Grump
  4. She is actually the second NYT bestselling author I have gamed with. But Matt Ruff was not YET a bestselling author at the time - he was working on the book that would make him one. It is danged strange seeing Lovecraft Country, and knowing that I gamed with the creator, in the back room of a barbershop. The Auld Grump
  5. She's a dragon - she would probably be more confused if everyone WASN'T staring at her. The Auld Grump - start with a half-orc body, maybe barbarian, do a head swap, maybe sculpt some hair....
  6. Commissioned to paint doll house items for her. I am doing a lot of Santa work, this year. The Auld Grump - we are Santa's elves, Filling Santa's shelves! Painting a toy, For each girl and boy! For we are Santa's elves!
  7. For those looking for Mordheim Cultists - Artisan Guild is all about the Cultists, come December - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgIOdcBkkzg And, yeah, the mandatory cheesecake. Good for Dregs, as well. The Auld Grump
  8. I have been playing against that trope since 1979 - when I had a party hanged for murdering an orc on the road. The orc was minding its own business, not hiding, not sneaking, just walking along the road into town. Most recently was the death of a drow spy in the City and Kingdom of Charlaeone cops campaign. Not a spy for the drow - he was a Queensman. That was how the PCs discovered that there were a few drow in the city. A few thousand drow, that is - and the dwarfs were helping to hide them. The drow were refugees. (The drow empress is EVIL. But most of the drow that the PCs meet are fleeing from her - she is crazy as well as evil, and most drow are neither.) The City and Kingdom have lots of orcs - who are living three times as long as their grandparents - they LIKE living in civilization. Goblins in their multitudes, doing what they can to get by. And kobolds... just a few months ago... discovered the joys of bureaucracy. The beholder police captain beat the beholder Queenpin - he didn't need thugs, but he has a lot of paperwork that needs filing. Mindflayers, on the other hand, consider other sentient beings as food - hard to be any kind of good when it is hard wired into your biology to devour the brains of sentients, and replace it with one of your tadpoles. Beholders, on the other hand, were created to be infantry support... and now that they are at peace... are reveling in being more than weapons. (Of the three in the City - one is a lawful good police captain, one is a lawful neutral newspaper publisher and editor, and only the third is evil - and she is nuts.) The Auld Grump
  9. Sammy is of the 'Skootch over! We can BOTH FIT!' persuasion. (In his head, he is still a puppy, I think.) Sammy never lies on the couch. unless there is someone to share it with. The Auld Grump
  10. Hammering out the rough draft for the campaign - rewriting the opening, since I kind of blabbed my evil plans to someone that turned into a player. One not-all that important arc is, well, it cqn be summed up with the title of the arc - GygaQ.... The Auld Grump
  11. Looks like they are still there - Bern's Side, on Brighton Avenue. I don't know if they still have ACW weapons for sale. The Auld Grump
  12. Ah, John. Also a 'first paragraph' player - would quote the first paragraph of GW rules, because all the bad things happened in the second paragraph. The Auld Grump - when I first really started disliking GW rules.
  13. I think that it was from Victoria Lamb's early releases - now long gone from her shop. It's adorable. *EDIT* Found it - listed on Eureka, but no longer available. The Auld Grump
  14. It has been seven years, but still... too soon.... Well, I thought that it was funny. The Auld Grump
  15. I, on the other hand, am scared to death! It escalated quickly, Ms. Lackey is an enormous fan of Lower Decks, Megan and I are newer fans of Lower Decks. And I think that I lost some hearing in my phone ear when I told Megan that the game is on. The Auld Grump - Megan has pipes!
  16. So, I take it that I am going to be surprised? The Au;d Grump
  17. I was thinking HeroForge? The Auld Grump
  18. Properly targeted adverisements seldom bother me. This sounds like a good example. Speaking of, have you seen ads for the new Orange Storm Giga printer from Elegoo? Over a thousand dollars, but that is not the reason we aren't getting it - the thing is the size of a small desk. The Auld Grump - we have to keep our FDM printer away from the cats.... or is it the cats away from the FDM printer?
  19. Running the Viacanali portion of the cops game for the after-school program. The kids are adamant that they neither like nor trust the patron that they are supposed to like and trust. (Who, amazingly enough, is NOT planning to do them dirty.) He has an Intelligence of 24 - he is using their distrust, pointing them in the right direction, and letting them loose. (His primary class is Expert - he is all about the skill points.) The Auld Grump
  20. Be warned, Belksasar LOVES their nekkid ladies. Which has not stopped us (Megan ) from getting a few. The Aud Grump - I only complain enough to make her laugh.
  21. We watched Monster House - Brigid's choice. The Auld Grump
  22. Tonight's After-School game was cancelled, because of the still uncaught active shooter from last night. The Auld Grump
  23. A while back we backed the Pinup Corps scantilly clad Not-Imperial-Guard on Frontiers. They promised that it would be finished months ago. And it was - sort of. They finished all their promised models - but every few months they add something new to the already finished release.... I am impressed, and I suspect that Megan will be adding female Not-Imperial-Guard to her Blessed Sisters army for Grimdark Future. So far the ogres are the only models painted up. (Female ogre... in fishnet blouse... *shudder*) The Auld Grump
  24. Blessed be, in all things, blessed be. The Auld Grump
