  1. Well, I've been collecting parts and pieces for the last year or so and I have now amassed just about everything that i need to start a small diorama I want to build. The only thing I need is a woman in a bikini or bathing suit, but preferably in a bikini. I have the "beach babe Libby" from Hasslefree, but she is so tiny, true 25 mmm I guess, so she is too small for what I need. Reaper scale would be better, or I could get by with one that is up to 54 mm. Has anyone seen one in this size?

    Thanks in Advance,

  2. When I grow up I want to be able to paint just like you. Great work Meg, you have improve so much over the past year, it is mind boggling, as if someone turned on a switch. Get work.

  3. WOW!!!! She's beautiful, I can't wait to see her in person. I have always wanted a copy of this mini and what could be better than getting it with a fine paint job to boot. The colors on the suit are nice, and a pleasent change from red, as I've most often seen her painted. The face is nice, too. I only hope that I can do as good on the one that I am painting for you.

I finally got moved into my new house and i have a ton of painted mini's finished and I hope to get them posted soon, as soon as I can get me a light tent constructed. Mine looks no where as nice as yours. I have the second in the series and I plan to get the third also.

  5. Looking good so far Meg, I think the red is just fine like it is. I know what you mean about the mold line, I have two of these and both have a mold line right down the left side of the face. Your's is barely noticeable. I'm interested in seeing how you do the robes, my first attempt didn't turn out so well so I need a few pointers for attempt #2.

  6. I know what you mean about this one Kicking your butt, I started this one about a year ago and still haven't finished it. There's something about the snake on the staff that makes the mini look clumsy and I just can't get motivated on it again. I like the way you started out with the shadow on the robes, I never thought about starting red this way, gonna give it a try.

  7. That's really a good job. You managed to get the eye that is partially covered by her hair done, I can't ever get those right.

The matallics look good too, like she had them painted blue and some of the color has been knocked off in battle. I agree with PTF, while NMM if nice in some applications, Metallic paint looks much better when properly applied. I never realized this mini had a ponytail, I guess I really should open the blisters up every now and then.

  8. That's really terriffic. I've seen those water bases around and have always wanted to try it. Your tutorial will be most helpful.

The only trouble is that I don't have the exceptional painting skills that you have. Everything seems to work on the colors. The only thing that I can find that doesn't work for me are the leaves. The leaves remind me of the forest or a far inland area, not of the beach, but that's just me.

  9. Thanks CBP and Helltown, I didn't mean to sound whiney, I guess I'm just a little impatient, kinda like a kid on Christmas eve, wanting to open the presents. Sorry if it came off the wrong way, I'm with helltown, if more time ='s spiffier mini, go for it.

Now I'll just go shoot myself.

    Thanks,

    John Lee
