  1. I really, really like it! I second a request for a tutorial. His shield, in particular, has very nice texture. I'd be very interested to hear how you achieved that effect.
  2. Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to make these suggestions. In particular, I need to pay much more attention to light source to create realistic shadows -- very good tips! I agree that my paint was too thick on the brain portion. I initially thinned it down to milk consistency, but the paint kept flowing into the recesses, which I didn't want. Does that sound like it was maybe too thin, or maybe I just had too much paint on my brush? I tried touching it to a napkin before painting, but that didn't seem to be the answer.   3. Hello all, New to the forum (and painting), and I was hoping to get some tips and suggestions on painting. I've been painting for about a month and I seem to have plateaued -- I quickly got better early on, but I see no progress recently. (I know a month isn't long, but I'm a high school teacher with a free summer so I've had nothing but time to concentrate on painting). Here are my two most recent minis. They aren't fairing so well on CMON. What could I do to improve?
