Hi, After finishing my Darkreach warband I'm moving to Razig. I have almost all minis I need to build my army. I would need your help on this project on both look and army lists. I have never used Razig in battle and I'm not going to use it untill I have fully painted playable army. The good thing is that we play at low ponts. So army of 500 is fully playable. but I hope to start with about 800pts. So before I'll post pictures of minis I need to warn you. This would be 100% unofficial models. The most of this army would be made using minis and bits I bought some time ago and put them away at attic. Yes this would be a way to recycle them. But I would stick as close as possible to Reaper minis look and try to keep same atmosphere around the army. This army has one of my favorites play styles, and I'm not talking about shooting models. The dead fish doctrine. This is my thing. Pass DIS or you wont attack! I'll write some more on this soon, stay tuned.

Hi this is my sample list. Its 599 pts. I try to play different list every time to master the army. Troop 1 Zeshin Nightcreeper Zalash, Assassin Liela Mordollwen, Sorceress Shiver Spike x 3 Troop 2 Evshyvandra Duskwidow Avrix Dirthe, Champion Shadowguard x 2 Nightshade Warrior Troop 3 Phase Cat This is my usual build but I like to experiment so sometimes it gets changed. But lets see what we've got here. Troop1 - I like this squad. It has 2 combos included. First is Barrage/Move/Blink/Focus/Shoot with RAV 5 AOE 3" Piercing. Second one is Move/Teleport/Move/Blink/Charge/Fight combo with 44" threat range (in 31" you are lucky enough to charge before blinking so next model can focus to boost attacks.). Unfortunately neither Zeshin nor Zalash is hard hitting enough to kill a captain in one turn. But this can be effective way to get rid off some solos or loners. Then you can blink back to better position. If you chose second doctrine zeshin can make zalash DV 15 (Parry and Dodge/1 from Shadow Step) when btb. But when I use shadowstep doctrine I usually put avrix (also keep him in shadow step) and guards to this unit to max hard hitters and liela and shiver spikes to the second troop. Troop2 - From my previous games I know that Avrix and Duskwidow is not enough damage. So I've put some guards there. I prox those models but eventually I'll buy them. I like using nightshade as a throw away model. When enemy charges he goes max parry to DV 12. This unit has no blink SA, but almost every one has ranger/6 SA. Magic Items - If I have enough points I go for Doomshade Boots and Shadow Weapon for Avrix. It really makes him live longer and helps surviving his friends too. I've never tried this but liela with familiar could do barrage combo twice. I don't like duplicating elites or champions. So no more than one Avrix so far, but It's tempting idea. He's a real killer.

Thanks! I'll be uploading some solo pictures this week. I'm also thinking of a new army for Warlord. This could be either Necropolis or Koborlas. Just not sure yet as I really like the theme of both, I'm still waiting for Razig minis. But hope to get them somday...

And this proect is ready! I'll take more pictures of individual minis and post it too. but later, now lets talk about those minis. I've chosen some GW minis to use instead of original Reaper ones. The first one idea was to have Dark Eldar Clawed Fiend as Zeshin Nightcreaper. I've bought GW's mini long before Reaper released theirs. And I'm very happy with that coz reapers Zeshin looks crappy. Also GW model works nice as it has right size and I can imagine that his tail sting is poisonous. Now the phase cats. Original ones are also not my type. The thing is they don't look evil enough. Dark Eldar Khymeras from GW looks way better as phase cats. They have those tentacles, and they have right size. So why not to use them. Also for both Zeshin and Khymeras there is one more detail that pushed me to use them. The eyes. They have more than one pair. Just like the spider. And what is the symbol of darkreaches? The spider! Dark Eldar Ur-Ghoul (the naked human sized mini) would be used as proxy for any mini. From additional elite mage to familiar (But someday I'll make small spider as familiar probably with some archaniliths). I just like the way it looks like missing link between zeshin and elves. I have rather small number of warriors. I mainly play games 500-700pts. We don't use warlord class models, because they just rip everything apart. With only sergeants and captains games seem to be more balanced especially on lower points. I might buy additional models for this army if it would work well in battles. At this moment I'm more into Razig as it seems to be closer to my playing style than Blinking Dark Elves.

I'm finishing those 2 phase cats right now. I want them ready for final pics (I'll take them soon), but they have co much details... I've also did a proxed familiar... well he is a bit too big to be just familiar, but mini looks too cool to not use him. Stay tuned.

OK I've just finished painting all darkreach models. I still need to paint those details on phase cats. And probably I'll remake face of zeshin. I'll then upload pictures.

OK so I was screwed by the vendor on my Razig project. I had some days off to start working on something so I've reached for my darkreaches. I've already painted: Zeshin Nightcreeper [prox] Tierdeleira, Priestess Avrix Dirthe, Champion Zalash Assassin Liela Mordollwen, Sorceress Shadowstep Warrior Nightshade Warrior 3 Shiver Spikes Phase Cat 1 [prox] still need some detail works here and there Phase Cat 2 [prox] same with this kitty Minis to buy: 1 Dramorion, Sorcerer 2 Shadowguard 1 Darkrime Drake 1 Majestrix Latissula, High Priestess 1 Sinisthreax and maybe some cheap bones. Mainly nightshades and shadow guards.

OK I was screwed by store. They did not sent me the minis up to this date and furthermore they say they have no idea why, but the manufacturer has not sent minis to them yet. So I've started another army. This plog is suspended until I get minis. No idea when, but I'll let you know.

I'm going to make about 10 salty sabres for my army. I'll go for same amount of zombies, and 2 maybe 3 heroes, and some elites including scurvy dogs and sea hag. This part of my army would be all about Dead Men Tell No Tales Doctrine. So max models with Nauseating SA. Also I want to make it something like no skeleton list. Of course this is impossible coz the leaders has to be skellies, but all other skellies would go in the second part. I'll start as soon as I get some parts for scurvy dogs and sabres, which should be this week. Also we play with no warlord models. Warlords are too powerful. We had like one or to battles and it looked like all minis were killed by our warlords with ease and then there was a warlord challenge. So we decided to go with captains and sergeants only. This is far more interesting. But there are some problems with damage reduction 2 models. My fried uses them every game in every of his 2 armies (dwarfs and gnomes). I hate this, but when well played I'm able to kill those monsters, and yet win the game. And just a fast note about basing my models. I'm going to make wooden planks on all bases. Normal models would get nothing special on these bases, but all elites would have something like extra planks, wooden parts of ship and stuff, while leaders would have anchors to make them stand out.

Waazup! Long hearing from me, but here I am with new army idea. I'd like to make and Razig army this month. Here I'll be sharing all army ideas and build and paint progress. Note: this is gonna be all 100% proxy army, I doubt I would buy any reaper mini for this army. This is supposed to be budget army made from bitz left from other minis (sorry reaper you don't provide that), but with high hobby factor. So lots of good painting here and 100% WYSYWIG. Also I'll be trying to keep my minis close to original in that pirate theme. I'm not anti-reaper I have some beautifull darkreach models and some tottaly random reaper ones still in painting progress, but I have some undead models left so thats why I picked Razig. So here we go. I'm still gone need to order some minis or at least parts for them. Mainly for Salty Sabres, Scurvy Dogs, and Weresharks. I'm also going to make special set of bases for them. I already have zombies, skeletons, ghouls and some dwarven cannons. I'll start this project next week.

This time I've played 750pts Warlord battle with Biore. Than Biore moved his Burrowed Earth Elemental. I've moved my Ston Giant ahead so he can protect those dwarfs who did not hide. Biore moved his Annasha (hides behind left building) and Troop 1 (bear rider is also behind building). I've charged with 2 Minotaurs. One into Swithaxe cleaving him in half but taking one wound back and Second missing on the Logrim. Kara than shot my wounded Minotaur scoring one wound. I've moved my Raging barbarian on the right side of right building. Second Turn. Biore had first card. Kara shot my wounded Minotaur and killed it. Than he charged with Bear Rider into Sigurd. He used luck stone to score 2 wounds and get extra one for savage but took one wound back. His Berzerkers killed second Minotaur. Then he had second card, and he killed my last minotaur with his Troop 2. Raging Barbarian was attacked by sone dwarf leader (fury one) but he killed him in his own turn (I've used 2 luck tokens to try to kill that dwarf in deffensive strikes but I've failed). After that I've charged his Anaasha with my Mika and 3 Dark Dwarfs killing her oughtright with assassins blade. Than biore attacked mika with Earth Elemental. He make one wound on her, but did not get any back. Sigurd with support of Spearmen attacked and killed Ursula the Bear Rider. Than he passed Tought test. My Stone Giant killed one berzerker. Third Turn. Biore gets first card. Gilam throws a fireball on Sigurd and Spearmen. Sigurd died and spearmen are now wounded and burning. Some dwarfs attack Raging Barbarian (he passed his Tough roll, and killed one dwarf). After that Biore gets another card. Kara shots my samurai heroine but she misses. Berzerker runs away, Halberdier is not fighting this turn. Than I get my card. Mika and Dwarfs kills Earh Elemental and halberdier. Stone Giant moved into b2b with Kara. Raging Barbarian runs for berzerker. Fourth Turn. Biore starts again. Kara kills Mika with shots. Than berzerker attacks raging barbarian (Berzerker died, but barb passed tought test again with luck stone help). Than I've killed Kara with Stone Giant. Spearmen killed dwarf halbardier. Because Gilam was burrowed I coudn't attack him. After Gilam unborrowed, He throwed lava on my spearmen an killed both of them. Than he got charged by dwarfs and died, but befor dies he managed to kill one dwarf in deffensive strikes.
