What bugs you most in miniatures?

I think they're stupid as all getout too, but the thing that Buglips mentioned has its place as comedic relief or as charm in an already stupid game and or setting. I could easily imagine presenting an ultra-skimpy evil queen to my players as a jest and then destroying them after they stop their couple seconds of snickering. But if there's something that bugs me in the sexy mini department, it's the lack of nice guy figures. There are almost no sculpts of cute femmy boys out there, except for what Fenryll has. And fenryll's sculpts are just... kind of... *shivers violently*

    SCP Foundation Ideas

You could probably use a D class or two, maybe some dead ones. I suggest looking for prison inmate minis - I always pictured them wearing orange jumpsuits like convicts. Can't say why..

    Boston...

The good news is that a lot of GOOD happened yesterday as a result of this. Marathoners and non marathoners alike went to hospitals and donations centers to give blood, supposedly citizens came out of their houses en masse to offer refreshments and free wifi to those who kept running (people kept running, that surprises me. I'm unsure, but that almost, ALMOST makes me think this second blurb is false information or a rumor.), and everyone has been on the lookout for suspicious activity. As awful a tragedy as this is, it shows us that there's a lot more good in humanity than there is bad. Hope the injured will all come through okay, and I hope the families of those who died will be able to overcome their grief. I also hope they CATCH the people responsible, but that they don't give them a lot of attention in the media. That's probably the reason they did this heinous thing in the first place.

Huh! Headloess orc horseman. That's a new idea!

An asian fantasy line in general, really. East Indian, Chinese, Mongolian, Japanese, even the Middle East and Africa!

Are you worried about it for creativity purposes? You can always make up new forms for a demonic centipede or spider. Give the spider a giant eyeball for an abdomen that constantly oozes a web made of blood, or say that the centipede is a mass of writhing tentacles in a vaguely serpentine form, each tipped with four sets of venomous pincers. ~imagination~!

    ....#@$)Y@#)$*@^#$)*@^!!!! Screw Exxon

aw jeeze, that's awful. :c I remember an anarchist, mildly eco-terrorist high school buddy of mine telling me about these pipelines and all the nasty problems they cause. Looks like he was right about one thing...

I wouldn't mind a few not-so-pretty female giants, at that. Why are all the blokes ugly as sin when nearly every giantess is a goddess in her own right? Thats a silly thing, it is. But let's take things one step at a time, for marketability.

I'd like that too. There aren't enough oriental terrors running around reaper's ranges, and many armed god figures are one of my favorite religious icons.

    Pathfinder: Bottle of the Bound

there's a "Fiendish Creature" template on page 107 or 108 of the 3.5 monster manual (1). Instant demonic army.

Gotta side with Walnut, although I have always wondered if the jar I got in my L2P box was too dark. Never gotten around t' getting a replacement, so I may not know for a very long time. it came very close to being black!
  18. that's it. that is it. I've found my calling. I KNEW there was a reason I was going into culinary arts. Set the place up in a college town, near the rental house districts. You'll never be short for business.

Amen to that! Never liked the huge amount of female orc minis doing things like cooking and cleaning, when they should be roaring and hefting a freshly severed elves' head to the sky in triumph.

    Pathfinder: Bottle of the Bound

heh, a hell of a lot. it may not be as helpful as the last thing I said, but try here for inspiration, at least. http://www.bogleech.com/halloween/hall11-dndemons.htm Good, long review of some more interesting demonic beings in the D&D pantheon. Not sure whether or not they're all from the same versions, but a lot of monsters end up recycled repeatedly, so it's worth a shot!

I kinda want some female orcs in the same cultural style as the Kargir army pack orcs. http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/orc/latest/06016#detail/06016_G http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/orc/latest/06027 http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/orc/latest/06009#detail/06009_G http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/orc/latest/06017 I love their awesome Frank Frazetta-ish Macedonian armors, and one of my many orcish cultures is partially based on them. It would be very handy to have a few she-orcs to keep them in line and yank their pointed ears back into the stretched hide tent when they do something particularly stupid before a raid. Some modern orcs in this style would also be really neat.

    Pathfinder: Bottle of the Bound

Pathfinder is compatible with D&D 3.5, right? Have you considered using the creatures of Yugoloth? Some super cool old biblical Sumerian/Mesopotamian-ish evils in that crowd... Think Gozer the Gozarian brand evil, but with less marshmallows and more flayed-four armed-bat-headed-fat-god-devils-with-boar-tusks-and-bull-horns. Maybe consider changing the stats of some angels to be evil creatures?
