I want to see more Call of Cthulhu style miniatures as well as H.P. Lovecraft inspired art. -
I like how the skin tone on his face looks. Really has a lot of character in him. Great work. ;)

Mostly Complete Golem?

I think that looks pretty good as is. I'm to new to the hobby to really know what to do beyond this stage of the mini. I do have to ask though were did you get it? -
03340: Cassie, Female Gnome Wizard (finished)
Silas Coggeshall replied to Silas Coggeshall's topic in Show Off: Painting
Thanks. :) I didn't start painting with the idea of her being evil, but I have to agree that she did turn out to have a dark look to her. -
Thanks. :)

Thank you. :) -
So I've been painting miniatures for a little over 3 months now. Sadly my progress has been a little slower than I'd like, but I still have made plenty of headway. I've spent around $100 on the hobby already, and will probably be spending much much more. :P

03558: DHL Classics: Lizardmen II
Silas Coggeshall replied to NightyKnight's topic in Show Off: Painting
I have done three cavs and a small dragon but the dragon was badly painted ,and my dad already showed you guys my Rach CAVs. Well you are making quite a bit of progress for that few minis. :) Keep up the good work mate. ;) -
So here is the final work. :) I am rather pleased with how she ended up turning out. I now wish I had waited for some of my MSP paint to come in that I ordered before I painted this one, but it's still pretty good. (by my standards.) I attempted some highlights on this mini and i think I did better than the last time I did blending, but I still have a long way to go. Anyway thanks for reading. :)

That looks pretty good. :) About how many minis have you painted. If this is on of your first I'm a little jealous. btw the DHL classics is a good way to get large amounts of miniatures and get some good experience. Good work mate. Keep posting. -
Forest Cliff Base WIP - Sculpey, green stuff
Silas Coggeshall replied to Cronoan's topic in Tips and Advice: Sculpting
This is awesome. :) I plan on basing some of my favorite miniatures that I've done. Think that this will help me. Thank you for sharing. -
03340: Cassie, Female Gnome Wizard
Silas Coggeshall replied to Silas Coggeshall's topic in Show Off: Painting
Thanks. :) I was able to do the color of the skin the way I wanted. It was just mainly the quality of the paint I was upset about. The brush strokes were very visible, and by the time I it to go on smoothly I felt like there were so many layers that some of the quality was hidden. Actually some of the metallic from the gold was left in my brush when I started highlighting with a brighter purple. In the end it had an unexpected yet overall good effect. -
So obviously I have a bit more left to do on this. :P Plenty of touch up left. But it'll probably have to wait till tomarrow. It's been a long day and I'm wearing out. :P I've attempted some blending on her robes, but I can really see it to well in these photos. :/ And as the last time I tried to paint a human face with this horrible skin tone paint I'm stuck with I'm very unhappy with it. :( :P I probably should have waited for the MSP paints I just ordered, but it'll be fine. Anyway please share your advice. :) btw Yes I know I still have to paint the base. :P

Thanks mate. :)

So you may have already seen this one in my last thread. This is a new pic I took after I touched up. I attempted blending on this one. First time I've done blending so it didn't turn out to great, but I still like how it turned out. I still need to mess around with the base. I'd also like to start getting the materials to rebase my miniatures. Any advice on what materials to get and use please share. :) Thank you for reading.
