  1. I paint near a window. The sun is a pretty good light source. The downside is that I can really only get the full benefit in the morning. And of course painting at night is out of the question. buckyball
  2. The Matt Parody box is on it's way to Goddesstio. buckyball
  3. When we be able to sign-up to run games? I would like to run a game of Rangers of Shadow Deep at the convention buckyball
  4. I have received the Matt Parody box in Santa Fe. I will try to send it out this weekend buckyball
  5. In keeping with my annual goals my May goals are: Paint this month's terrain pieces Paint this month's game token Paint this month's Mithril miniature Paint two figures from the annual box Paint two figures for Rangers of Shadow Deep If I get through with all that, I hope to paint some additional undead for RoSD buckyball Hobby goals for 2022 Painting one piece of terrain each month [ 5 so far] Painting the 17 miniatures in my annual box and finish the one from last year [ 6 so far] Painting one game token each month [ 5 so far] Painting one Mithril miniature each month [ 5 so far] Use up my remaining clear acrylic bases, which will give me a reason to order more
  6. I painted some sandblades for the game Rangers of Shadow Deep. They are a kind of ghost that manifest as sand monsters https://scontent-den4-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/279009030_10160034648908926_319051434533858571_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&ccb=1-5&_nc_sid=5cd70e&_nc_ohc=xEwXfdKsdb4AX9zs-YF&_nc_ht=scontent-den4-1.xx&oh=00_AT9adfidGddxKjpsmV2MOmFmVfc6xeAgymRPTQ8gAbsJRA&oe=626DE98D buckyball
  7. My guess is that the empty spaces are for the super rare figures that come in the small white boxes. The original set had reserved spaces for Yondu and Adam Warlock. buckyball
  8. At the halfway mark I am mostly done for the month. I did however order some ghouls and skeletons to round out the figures I need for Temple of Madness. So with any luck I will get in a few days of honest to god speed painting. Undead can go quickly since they are supposed to be dirty and gross. buckyball
  9. I would be willing to put some brushstrokes on a circulating figure. buckyball
  10. In keeping with my annual goals my April goals are: Paint this month's terrain pieces Paint this month's game token Paint this month's Mithril miniature Paint one figure from the annual box Paint two figures for Rangers of Shadow Deep If I get through with all that, I hope to paint some additional undead for RoSD buckyball Hobby goals for 2022 Painting one piece of terrain each month [ 4 so far] Painting the 17 miniatures in my annual box and finish the one from last year [ 6 so far] Painting one game token each month [ 4 so far] Painting one Mithril miniature each month [ 4 so far] Use up my remaining clear acrylic bases, which will give me a reason to order hundreds more
  11. I have plenty of miniatures to paint already. I am waiting for some more terrain, and specifically the Lighthouse. I hope to get a good idea of how much I will spend before I pledge. buckyball
  12. I plan to run some Rangers of Shadow Deep scenarios at the convention this year. Is there any information on when GM signups will start? buckyball
  13. I would like to participate Santa Fe, NM I can be a box starter (but it would be mostly metal since that is what I have) no international buckyball
  14. At the midpoint for the month of March, I am doing pretty well. As soon as I finish this month's Mithril miniature, I will try to polish off two more figures from my backlog and start two more figures from my annual box. buckyball
  15. You might consider: https://www.reapermini.com/miniatures/pathfinder/latest/60131 or https://www.reapermini.com/miniatures/pathfinder/latest/60065 if you get rid of the sword or https://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=dynamic-lenore~hfh110&category=fantasy-%26 steampunk~fantasy-humans buckyball
  16. I also prefer natural proportioned miniatures. Tom Meier and Chris Tubbs are about the best sculptors for this. Perry Miniatures are ok proportioned and they do have a set of female Turcoman horse archers. But I think it will be difficult to find female infantry that are not cartoonish fantasy minis buckyball
  17. Here is the terrain I got from Great Khan Artist. It works really well since many of the walls have writing on them. The scenario requires the rangers to try to decipher the name of the battle genie that is attacking them by running around reading ancient ruins. http://www.coolminiornot.com/463303 buckyball
  18. What are you looking for exactly? Are you looking for civilians or figures for an adventuring party? You might consider looking at regular male Bedouin miniatures. A beardless miniature dressed in a thawb or kaftan with their head covered by a agal or turbin would be indistinguishable as male or female. buckyball
  19. Do you have information about how companies may offer manufacturer awards? What do they need to offer? Who should they contact? How are the figures judged? buckyball
  20. When I need something to fill out my collection, I usually look at Reaper first. If I need a specific character mini or monster Reaper usually has something close. But the miniatures lines I collect are Mithril and Dark Sword. buckyball
  21. In keeping with my annual goals my March goals are: Paint this month's terrain piece (It will be some desert terrain I got from G) Paint this month's game token Paint this month's Mithril miniature Paint one figure from the annual box Paint one figure for Rangers of Shadow Deep If time permits I want to do something RCL for the quarter buckyball Hobby goals for 2022 Painting one piece of terrain each month [ 3 so far] Painting the 17 miniatures in my annual box and finish the one from last year [ 5 so far] Painting one game token each month [ 3 so far] Painting one Mithril miniature each month [ 3 so far] Use up my remaining clear acrylic bases, which will give me a reason to order hundreds more
  22. I don't think you guys are appreciating how incredibly fast Reapercon has grown. I have seen other conventions grow from less than 200 to over 1000, but it generally takes many years to get there. Reapercon's growth has been explosive by comparison. Reaper got into the convention center when it (the Denton CC) was brand new. They probably got as good a deal as they have, because they were in so early. I would not be surprised if the Embassy Suites would be more than willing to renegotiate a contract, so that they can charge a whole lot more AND guarantee full occupancy. So, I would suggest we frame our comments as what we would like to see in the future, and not as what Reaper coudda woudda shoudda done in the past. Hindsight is 20/20 and we weren't there when the original contract was being ironed out. buckyball
