Box of Goodwill round 13 picture/chatter thread

I have a question about that. What counts as a commercial site? Specifically does CoolMiniOrNot count as a commercial site? They have both a gallery and an online shop. And I happen to know a guy who posts on their gallery and links the images in the forums. Should 'my friend' stop doing that? buckyball -
Box of Goodwill round 13 picture/chatter thread

This is just a suggestion. But you might send it out as a "who wants it next box'. You can ask the group 'who wants it next' then someone says 'I do' and you send it to them. Then they would ask 'who wants it next' and repeat the process. Eventually the people who wanted a shot at it would become depleted and the last person sends it back to you. Like I said its just a suggestion. But I think it might work buckyball -

I went ahead and posted this a day early since I will be driving out to REAPERCON tomorrow. The month of August was a total bust for me. I was feeling pressure from trying to force myself to finish miniatures for the convention. I barely did the minimum and I am not happy with what I did paint. So for the month of September I will just do whatever. I am behind on terrain and the annual box. So maybe those. But I am feeling really burned out; and if I dont get anything done, that is ok also. I hope you guys have lots of motivation and plans for the month of September buckyball

Are you looking for miniatures that match the Thunderbolt Mountain 35mm French and Indian War natives? Frankly you are up against a double whammy there. The larger scale makes it hard, and the quality of Tom Meier sculpts is also hard to match. My suggestion is to drop down to the regular 28mm scale and maybe use the oversized figures as 'larger than life' hero minis buckyball

It was kind of cool. One of the best parts of being able to pull from the bins was, that you could just get the one or two figures (or parts) out of a set without the ones you didn't want. But people were really bad about this. I found minis on the floor, on the shelves behind the bins, and put back in wrong bins. They probably had to put a stop to it. buckyball

I got a Moderna booster on Monday in the hope that I will have a maximum serum antibody titer at the convention. buckyball

I had considered using a Yoda head and a wizard body. You got the wrinkly skin and the big ears and all

A friend of mine was trying to find a 28mm miniature for a male hairless tabaxi warlock. I had recommended the Dark Sword sphynx tabaxi druid. But she thought it was too cartoonish and out of scale Does anyone know of a better choice? buckyball

I think I can bring terrain and figures for two scenarios: The one with the steam vents and the crashed spaceship one For the steam vents I have six cardboard conduits we could just set out. And for the steam I have some fluffy white stuffing For the downed spaceship I was thinking of using a model that looks kind of like a drone. So the objective would be a drone that crashed in a swamp buckyball
