  1. Are you wishing for/insisting on individual, unpainted, face-on product shots of each mini? (If Yes...) Here is an image shack photo album of the display that was at ReaperCon (that may not help).
  2. Fair warning: Spoiler Ahead. On last night's episode they re-stated, explored and then shattered the myth. The girls on the show have now played D&D.
  3. Huh? ...but Mouselings are so-o-o-o cute!? (at least that's what all the gals around the melt table kept saying... )
  4. Mouse ears. Hmm... ...Acute Hearing, bonus to Picking Locks, bonus to Surprising others, difficult to Surprise a Mouseling...but they are vulnerable to spells based on sound. Sonic Blast [is that a current spell? ? ..or just a menu item a carhop will serve... ]
  5. Got it, different versions, right. I didn't realize the OP was making a distinction between old/new CAV. __________________________________________ Ground Distance Scale / Terrain & Buildings / Six Foot Tall Objects (like figures) 1:1200 -- 1 inch equals 100 feet ---- 1.5 mm soldiers 1: 900 --- 1 inch equals 75 feet ------ 2 mm soldiers 1: 600 --- 1 inch equals 50 feet ------ 3 mm soldiers 1: 300 --- 1 inch equals 25 feet ------ 6 mm soldiers 1: 240 --- 1 inch equals 20 feet ------ 7.5 mm soldiers 1: 225 --- 1 inch equals 18.75 feet --- 8 mm soldiers 1: 180 --- 1 inch equals 15 feet ---- 10 mm soldiers <----- CAV:SO Scale 1: 160 --- 1 inch equals 13.33 feet --- 11.25 mm soldiers 1: 150 --- 1 inch equals 12.5 feet ---- 12 mm soldiers 1: 120 --- 1 inch equals 10 feet ------ 15 mm soldiers 1: 60 ---- 1 inch equals 5 feet --------- 30 mm soldiers 1: 48 ---- 1 inch equals 4 feet --------- 37.5 mm soldiers Old CAV (blue) was a bit of a scale mish-mash then.
  6. Did the scale change again? In an older thread that meandered past all sorts of related and not-so-related issues I thought it was pegged at and officially announced as 1:180. Eg: Ground Distance Scale / Terrain & Buildings / Six Foot Tall Objects (like figures) 1:1200 --- 1 inch equals 100 feet --- 1.5 mm soldiers 1: 900 --- 1 inch equals 75 feet --- 2 mm soldiers 1: 600 --- 1 inch equals 50 feet --- 3 mm soldiers 1: 300 --- 1 inch equals 25 feet --- 6 mm soldiers 1: 240 --- 1 inch equals 20 feet --- 7.5 mm soldiers 1: 225 --- 1 inch equals 18.75 feet --- 8 mm soldiers 1: 180 --- 1 inch equals 15 feet --- 10 mm soldiers <----- CAV Scale 1: 120 --- 1 inch equals 10 feet --- 15 mm soldiers 1: 60 --- 1 inch equals 5 feet --- 30 mm soldiers 1: 48 --- 1 inch equals 4 feet --- 37.5 mm soldiers 1: 20 ---- 1 inch equals 20 inches --- 90 mm soldiers
  7. Those three dwarfs are plastic, rather than metal, correct? Did you end up with just the three? or are those just representatives larger squads?
  8. According to some "American Cheese" is neither of those things. (Although to be fair some bounder named J. L. Kraft and the corporation that is named after him had, may still have, a patent on the process. Kinda the same way Adolphus Busch nabbed a trademark on a Czech laager known as Budweiser.) But origin of the "process"? Switzerland. Cheese making bacterial cultures? nil. This. Rock on... +1 The State Fair of Texas featured this a couple of years ago.. ..don't ask me how it was done. The vendors of The State Fair of Texas are capable of deep frying absolutely ..anything.. ..it is sort of their THANG.
  9. Is the skull/head conversion work? I think I have that same sculpt as a dwarf but with a normal looking baldish head.
  10. ...but on the bright side, in the other thread, you were looking for things a mousling could stand on.
  11. Barrels? Could the mice be balancing on a barrel (or at this scale perhaps a cask?) that has been inadvertently jettisoned in the struggle? Another possibility, for something that is floating or could be half submerged, is a small crate or a chest. Other directions you could go are a broken spar, a chunk of a mast, or an overturned boat. (Is there room for a mousling sized jolly boat?) Or a chunk of hatch cover grating:
  12. Weren't the Burroughs Martians extra tall? Low gravity, etc. Realistic troopers (from whatever fictional milieux) should vary in height anyhow: ...that dude with the goggles is clearly a "32mm" figure.
  13. That really sounds like the Warlord, Reven faction harpies, But I suppose you have those? Here is a picture of these AoW harpies: http://www.beastsofwar.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Harpies-of-Apocalypse.jpg ... I guess they have been released? They seem to be the armless variant. *** @Catdancer: what Basilisk said. The picture you saw: Were the minis a) painted b) primed white c) bare metal? Did they have feathery buzzard wings or leathery bat-like wings? Any other details? How were they based? Was it a black background, white-fade-to-blue background? Were they four limbed or six limbed harpies? Sculptors and artists seem to differ as to number of limbs. Any additional details you could remember would help. BTW: These: http://www.miniature-giant.com/Images-Reaper-Miniatures/6183.jpg ... are the Warlord harpies. *** ***Moderator: by all means zap the inline images if they are problematic [?] Matakishi has a blog entry from 2011 where he painted up some GameZone Harpies: http://www.matakishi.com/agonheroicroleplay.htm The EE produces [produced? I don't know if they are still current issue] some Harpies for their Dark Elf Army. This link goes to a picture of six: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v145/Lexandro/Dark%20Elves/harpiesTOP1.jpg ... and the ratio of airborne to groundpounders is close to what you remember.
  14. There is an idea (or two) brewing* in this thread for next year: A "saloon" bar, equipped to serve various micro brewed in Texas root beers? A Dinosaurs versus Cowboys game using a combination of Warlord Reptus and Cowboys and Gunslingers stat cards. A Multitude of Amigos Photo-Op and a daily [?] contest / prize / award for most Spangles/Rhinestones** on a costume. And do not miss: Dr. Hiram Ignatius Bedlam, purveyor of medicinal Elixirs, miracle Unguents, and secret, lost Cherokee Herbal remedies! --- recognize him by his unmistakable Royal Purple top hat, gifted to him by none other than the King of Prussia. *sorry, couldn't resist. **The True "Glit" contest?
  15. They are not all that great but I snapped a few: There are four or five more in this Album on ImageShack.
  16. I was there when Jason Weibe was asked if Pentimus and his Chortling [Chodling?] minions were going be finished anytime soon someday ever. He said the sculpt of Pentimus has been started but he didn't promise any specific year (much less a date) that it would be finished.
  17. Thank you! I would like my giants at least 3 inches, and for some reason, these all looked like they were just over 2. Here are a couple from the album where some of the Giants are seen from lower angles: It does not help that most of them are crouching like they are they preparing to smite a goblin...
  18. Cleverly disguised as an ordinary shmoe from Pencils & Paychecks I approached the registration desk... When I was asked for faction preference I promptly replied: Muggles! (I ended up with the gear-tooth logo...)
  19. I finally got all the shots processed and uploaded. Here is the link to the album: http://imageshack.us/g/1/10118760/ There are 38 images in all. I took the suggestions from earlier in the thread about grouping some of the bigger dragons together, going down the line at near table level and of course adding a tape measure. Here are a few samples from the album: Some shots turned out better than others. Hope it helps those jonesing for their shipments...
  20. There was a copy of Wyrmgear on the Dragons Knight Out table. I hope the tape measure is clear enough to get an idea of the size. More pictures of this table and some Warlord games have been uploaded to the ImageShack album I created yesterday. Dragons Knight Out is a tremendous set of tables based on a simple premise: Eventually Dragons get tired of waiting in their lairs for Kniggets to turn up. Therefore eight or ten Dragons form an adventuring party (of Dragons!) and go look for a fat, juicy, town to pillage and some nice crunchy knights to munch on. It is a walk-up participation game where each player controls a Dragon raiding a town full of loot (loot!), sheep (snacks), bolt throwers (pests), and kniggets (crunchy snacks). Great picture.. Can someone please tell me what mini line the big Ogre in the background is from please? Would love to get my hands on that guy. I overheard someone saying that it was a fun little conversion. An Ogre Dragon? or some such. (Kicking myself for not wandering over to take a look at its data sheet.) Compare the right arm (and other parts) to the Reaper Hill Giant.
  21. I got about twenty or thirty pics of the Bones Display when I got to the factory today. I can't stay up all night resizing them for the web and uploading them but I put up a pair. They are really exciting shots of my tape measure and some dragon named ... Kaladrax. Enjoy: The answer to 'how big is Kaladrax?' is: too big to fit in the frame. Tomorrow I will upload the rest of the pics and provide a link to the album.

  23. I made an Image Shack album with the pictures I have shot so far: http://imageshack.us/g/1/10114267/ Some of them have been posted here in the forums: Kaladrax The Translucent Flame Elemental
  24. I held it in hand just before taking the shot. It was an irregular shape about six or seven inches long by at least 3 wide. If I get a chance Sunday I will try to measure it.
