  1. Does anyone know if the condiments are on the sandwich or provided in packages?
  2. Latest update is that Larry is going to send a separate original snarfquest book of which I do not need a copy of. There was no mention of it being the remastered version. I have filed a compliant with KS in the hopes that they will force Larry to refund me the $30 extra I paid for a combined hardcopy version.
  3. There are two sets of minis. The first set was 8 in metal. The second set was part of KSII in bones.
  4. Driving in or out of DFW has been awful every time I've tried it. Taking a cab last year was much less stressful, plus I didn't have to pay for a week-long car rental! DFW airport: yes, the strange Alice-in-Blunderland place of the left-handed curly-cue exits ---except for the ones that are right hand exits--- they got really creative with their freeways inside the place. If money was not much an object the least hassle way to go would be: SouthWest to Love Field; Taxi to Hotel; Rental Agency drops off car at Hotel. @Loim: was I35 involved? I have done numerous trips on that road and it has never been good. @Those arriving from afar, how much in advance would it be useful to have a road construction assessment? Road construction never stops in Texas. It just happens on a different road / highway than where it was last year.
  5. If you are looking to share a ride / taxi then it is about half the distance to Lewisville that Dallas Love Field is. Most folks going to Reaper Con fly into DFW.
  6. You may want to check various days of week regarding what the ticket price is. I typically find cheaper fares on Tuesday through Thursdays. Although recently it has been more random. A site I use is kayak dot com which does a mega search. There are others out there also that can be used. SWA is not included in the kayak results though.
  7. Sounds like you are in a similar boat as myself. Ordered an overage copy on November 6, 2013. Still waiting for it. Unfortunately the site now shows an inventory of -3. So I tried contacting them a couple days ago and will wait to see what materializes. If nothing then time to go to cc for a fraud investigation. My oops for not updating my situation here. I did eventually get all that I ordered. However. This may seem to be a minor complaint to many here, but I'm actually quite bothered by it, we were told the books and prints would be distributed based on who pledge first getting the lowest numbers. This did not happen. I know for a fact that I received prints and book numbered much higher than they should have been. In fact Elmore offered one of the prints through his store first before making it available to kickstarter backers for $20 less. There were 11 of us who paid the higher price and were told we'd be getting the first 11 copies, which I know I didn't. Again, first world problems, I know, but I'm still bothered by it. Enough that I don't know how eager I am to jump on his future black and white artbook followup. I first received someone elses KS order and returned the package at my expense. I sent an email explaining the situation and later received my KS reward. I also received the wrong number since I was the very last person to plege for the DRAGON PACKAGE & ORIGINAL SKETCH reward. The sketch included was not published in the bonus sketchbook that was advertised to contain all of the sketches. Since the announcement that overage copies were shipped I have not received the overage copy. I would be happy with the overage copy or a refund.
  8. The cc company processes it as a fraud complaint. I have submitted multiple address updates and did receive the KS rewards. But not the overage copy. I have checked with the post office and old address where the KS reward was received and nothing has been seen. I wish you the best of luck on your items.
  9. Just did again a couple of days ago. Will see if anything materializes. Otherwise time to get cc involved with a fraud investigation. I'm not sure if its fraud or just not being good with paperwork. EG. my first elmore package was sent to my old address: which i'd changed over a year ago with him. He posted a replacement which arrived, but without the bonus goodies. The package he posted containing the bonus goodies was POSTED TO THE SAME OLD WRONG ADDRESS. I am now pestering him for a new package as the new tenants of the place have not seen the package (I do not know them so do not know if this is the truth or otherwise). The cc company processes it as a fraud complaint. I have submitted multiple address updates and did receive the KS rewards. But not the overage copy. I have checked with the post office and old address where the KS reward was received and nothing has been seen. I wish you the best of luck on your items.

  12. The reaper pro brush is a 0 with a point and Sri Lanka is a 2 (flat like a house paint brush + has red sable on the brush before Sri Lanka)
  13. ...why? What did you get? One Sri Lanka dry brush brush and one reaper pro brush.
  14. No I was the guy sitting with Dr. at the table that had 3 raffle winners. I won the Mouslings set by using some sort of mind control over Ron. It was the table that had 2 raffle winners during the first banquet and 3 raffle winners during the second banquet. RHS immediately after entering the center doors.
  15. and totally defeat to title of the class... Casting and Building with Hirst Arts... Got it! The class is about how to cast plaster in pre-made molds. Figure most would have done this with self-made molds while growing up. But need to keep in mind that many had different experiences and may not have done metal casting, welding, etc while growing up.
  16. And that's significant? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Day
  17. You probably could make it and put it all together in under 4 hours if you used styrene. It would weight far less too.
  18. *takes notes* Rule 1: Buglips the goblin miniature is the most appealing and widely admired piece one could ever enter in the ReaperCon painting competition for every category! Rule 2: green fairy on wooded base is a distant #2.
  19. *intrigued* Two great minds thinking alike!
  20. We're not going to significantly alter our prize structure on this, guys. Sorry. One prize, for the best, that's it. If you want more shenanigans than that, nab a game table and have your own mini-competition. We are sticking to the traditional format to keep things moving. The point is still to bring awesome stuff to show your friends and to have a lot of fun pushing your abilities, and we don't want to detract from that. Also, we will limit the number of special awards of this nature because the awards ceremony already runs around an hour…not to mention that each special award means the judging teams need to make a first cut and that is time-consuming. Dunno if you guys knew, but our judges pretty much spend their ENTIRE Friday evening at ReaperCon judging the competition, and then they come back to judge more on Saturday. That's time that they are not available to talk to YOU at the Con. So we'd like not to go too crazy. Oooh, need to be clear in what I meant here. I was assuming that if buglips wanted to have a "best goblin" (and I just use the buglips best goblin award as an example) winner then it would be up to him to give out a ribbon to everyone who entered, not at the ceremony. The ceremony would only give out the best of award and not take up a bunch of time. I also assumed that since buglips was handling this separate award the judging staff would not be judging it and having to take more time. When this part of the thread started it never seemed to be an "official Reaper Paint Crew Judged Event". But more of something fun to add to the mix. Of course your figure could also be judged in the standard ReaperCon categories as appropriate. Not trying to make more work for the judges or add tons of new awards to the ceremony at all. Just trying to handle the special fun cases for an award for things like figure with best hat or best goblin. Need to have every miniature in a single category be a buglips the goblin minature. That way the judges have no choice but to recongize the excellence of General Buglips and his influence on this generation of painters.
  21. In the classes I have taken in the past (both ReaperCon and elsewhere) here are some instructors who have covered the below topics: Faux Surface Textures - Ridolfi, Gutherie, Wappel Weathering Effects - Mr Justin (Secret Weapon Miniatures) Strategies/Painting for Competition - Proctor Specific Sculpting Subjects: hair, fur, cloth etc. - VanHorne
  22. The one class I would like is hands on making your own sculpting tools.
  23. Personally I think the subject matter alone was worth at least a dozen Sophies. But for some reason Reaper never asked for my input. I say we have everyone work on this subject matter for next years ReaperCon Art show! That will leave no option for them to avoid recognizing the greatness they see before their eyes!
