It is great to hear about gamers doing there part. Our local store runs a Silent Auction every year around christmas and gives all the money to charity.

I always liked Nakor in the Raymond Feist books.

Interesting, never pictured myself as a mercenary. Jayne Cobb (Mercenary) 50% Alliance 45% A Reaver (Cannibal) 40% Zoe Washburne (Second-in-command) 35% Malcolm Reynolds (Captain) 35% Derrial Book (Shepherd) 30% Wash (Ship Pilot) 25% Kaylee Frye (Ship Mechanic) 20% Inara Serra (Companion) 20% Dr. Simon Tam (Ship Medic) 5% River (Stowaway) 0%

I think it was best said by FrankMentzer at the end of the Gen Con auctions last year. Introduce young people, a friend, a neighbor and there children to the fun that is Gaming, or else one day it will not be there. I personally believe that when 25,000 or so people are willing to make the journey to Indianapolis for Gen Con, that the industry is not in any pain. I know for certain that when I go to Gen Con I am buying for four other people who could not have made the trip but want all the cool things that are newly released. So if I am buying for 4, how many others are doing the same? The one thing about this hobby that seems to have its downfall, is the requirement to have social interaction in person. Interaction nowadays is so easy when you turn on your computer and there the world is just setting there waiting for you without the need for face to face, but going out and making friends in person can be a bit of a nightmare, and the fact that scheduling a game for those of us who have fulltime jobs and families to go home to can kind of be tiresome if something falls through and things need to be rescheduled. I do know that Palladium Games tryed to go under, but there fanbase put together 100k in less then two weeks to bring them up and out. So the industry as a whole still must have some money in its veins.

Well this is kinda sad, I really wanted you to answer the phone so we could tell you this news. (pause) I mean really this is the kinda news you just don't leave on the answering machine. It's about your family (pause) I mean the kinda interest rate they might have to pay to some other bank might be huge, but with the Super Fun Mortgage company you will only have to pay (beep)

Not to hijack the thread, but what is Urban Dead like Frosch?

My local Game store has started producing fliers to send to the different television stations to try and get somone to bring it back. They also have a display case set up in dedication to Firefly. Kinda eery.

Silent Death has always performed well for me. Add all the optional rules and it makes for a fun filled ime of Starship combat.

I just want to express my gratitude for the Holiday card I received from Reaper Miniatures signed by all the Reaper Peeps. Seeing this made my day a little brighter and made me appreciate companies like yours. Thanks!

Thanks for letting us know. I was always a fan of the original Orcs.

I did interior remodeling for a living. We never worried about it at all. We did tons of older buildings that I am sure were not all asbestos free.Oh well, to each there own. Hope the cough lets up soon.

Thanks for the information. When I picked it up I never thought to retain the card for future reference. Froy

And here is a Giant Spider I painted up as a Paladin Mount a year or so back. Another terrible picture.
-
This is a Silent Death Solar Worm. This picture is terrible, but I finally decided to put up a painted piece of my own.

I remember when UPS delivered a package of my stores to Las Vegas, I am in Kansas. This in turn peeved many of my customers who had special orders, and of course gave me a slight headache from hearing all the people whining. I could do nothing about it, because the package was pre-paid, and I could not afford to order the same stuff and pay for it twice. UPS is great overall, but they have their moments. -
A really good deal ever make you sad :(

What happens to the owners, we move on, we accept, and then we wonder what we could have done different. I am still in the process of selling off my stores inventory on Ebay. :: sighs :: From my experience, I found that some gamers will play at a store because it is convenient, but will buy from many different places to find a cheaper alternative. Sometimes you are the cheap person, sometimes the online store is, it just depends on the item and the cicumstances. Sorry to hear about your local FLGS Froy -
I think I will have to have that posted in a bar when I run my next fantasy game. Thanks

Actually in the fluff there is such a thing as camouflage from paint jobs, but as Wreckmaster pointed out that the rules I think say something about no hidden units. Though we can hide a Scorpion in a pond, and paint.....can't remember what CAV it is to look like its predessesor and then confuse the pilots into thinking it is less of a threat then what it is. "No One" is to broad of a statement when referring to Humans as a whole. As far as guns go, education does help. Froy

Oprah would win, she would pay off Cthulhu and they would work together for there version of the future. What that might be, we can only imagoine the horrors.
-
Well Spartan, at least the figures are cheap for what you get. Froy

Thanks for sharing. That looks awesome. I do feel sorry for the human though. Froy

For those who want to read an incredibly well put together report about satanism and D&D here is the link http://www.rpg.net/sites/252/quellen/stack...ing_report.html As far as the skulls on the miniatures, I am sure it is just your luck. The last couple I have picked up have not had any skulls. Froy
