  1. There's clearly something in the water effecting you and TGP adversely; everyone knows Last Knight doesn't really exist.
  2. Unless things have gotten seriously weird since last I posted here, Mrs. Boot neither indulges in nor requires coffee. She manages wrangling this particular herd of cats on native grit and the occasional cup of cocoa.
  3. 4 according to my Paint Rack. Think I've only used it once, for a cyberganger's hair.
  4. ...except Pingo is trying to record a video, and blocking out noise for her personally isn't going to help much. =D
  5. Pretty sure the barge was Bones Classic (in grey), the Bones plastic has generally done pretty well in larger, thicker models.
  6. I actually like the cold and can't stand the heat, so anything in the Middle East is just a nightmare for me. Also, nice; I've been sailing Military Sealift Command for a dog's age, minimum 4 months on but your relief is guaranteed late, 30 calendar days off and they're demanding you come back. I'm about ready to hang up my seabag and try something shoreside.
  7. I don't think Bones Classic would have worked for this, but Bones Black might... on the other hand, it doesn't seem to jibe with Reaper's "play it right out of the package" philosophy for Bones. Are they still sticking with that?
  8. Almost seems more appropriate for "Fifteen men on a dead man's chest/Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum..." I am also reminded of the skeletal guardian from The Last Unicorn, getting drunk even though the wine poured straight through his empty rib cage.
  9. Those are the worst, man. I spent last Christmas standing gate guard and quarterdeck watch in Qatar. Do not recommend. Who are you sailing for? What's your tour, four on and four off?
  10. Not necessarily the gods, but certainly Tolkien - and as he established many of the archetypes we use for dwarves in fantasy roleplaying games, it just seems suitable to use it as opposed to the dwarfs of fairy-tales and Disney. Edit: and following the chain back to its origin yesterday, I see Doug opened with that. Ah, well...
  11. And we've seen that with this latest Kickstarter. A number of classic figures who already exist in Bones showed up again to become Bones Black - Decker Lugstampf, steampunk armored mechanic, being a prime example.
  12. You're clearly seeing things. Everyone knows Last Knight doesn't really exist.
  13. My pledge was definitely low-ball - just the core @ $120 - while my "wish list" is over $800 right now. I'll make it up a bit at a time while the manager is open, spreading out the hobby money to keep it affordable.
  14. Yeah, they have an option for "larger, easier to clean up" glitter; which is the one I would use for my friend, if I glitterbrick her. I should for so soon, or the eye will already be healed by the time it gets there! Tiny, herpes of the craft world glitter is reserved for enemies...
  15. I'm just profoundly grateful that my brick sender didn't spring the extra $3 to have the envelope filled with glitter, too. ... Although I'm seriously considering sending glitter and a get well card (and a brick) to my friend who loves glitter and recently scratched her cornea...
  16. About $7, according to the postmark! Edit to add: I think I've found the website they used, actually... Which means the NY postmark is useless. https://funkydelivery.com/product/mail-a-brick/ So, someone spent about $14 to confuse the hell out of me while making a meme reference. ... money well spent...
  17. Didn't they have a hostile takeover by the Chinese factory owners a few years back?
  18. A random brick! It's a play on a Facebook meme that's going around - "tag a friend in a random stock photo." But - pretty much everyone I know IRL would have sent it to my address, not my folks. Return address was fake, postmark was New York.
  19. Received an unusual package at my away-from-home mailing address (aka, the parents' house). Too odd!
