  1. We briefly tossed around the idea of doing him as a copper with some verdigris, but I decided I'm not that talented. Mmm... tempting
  2. so... I´m in, but I could resist and only pledge 5$. I´m happy. But with the new oathsworn and the next reaper I have to protect my sanity and pocket from my compulsive desires.
  3. please, excuse my pocket, he is only one and do what he can
  4. in what context? for reaper, at the moment? sure. what about for the company which shall not be named? i really, really doubt it. their whole business model is based around selling entire armies of non human critters. i suspect that as bones become more popular and having large numbers of "ready to play" monsters becomes more affordable and accessible sales will begin to shift in favor of the beasts. as a skirmish gamer PC types consist of a relatively small fraction of my collection, as i'd rather have a whole new warband than redundant numbers. here is what i would do: make the groups of stretch goal minis groups of unique warlord faction models. e.g. a leader, a ranged attacker, a minion, a close combat specialist, and a wizard. this variety would provide plenty of options for building an entire warband/army with and every stretch goal could effectively add a whole warlord faction. spice with big monsters and warlords and - bam, you have a KS. this would keep most everyone happy, as PC/NPC types would be well represented amongst the factions (crusaders, overlords, mercenaries, elves and on and on) and a wide variety of monster *factions* and single beasts as well. that would be my ideal vision of a bones 2 KS, anyhow. Sure, maybe I was a little rolecentric. But if we are talking about armies? yeah sure. Another option? Make a poll
  5. To be fair, that "simplifying" approach only works to a point. I mean, you can't really use a deinonychus as a pteranodon, much less use one as a tyrannosaurus rex. Sure! THat´s why it´s a simplification :P But is easier to proxy a dinosaur with another dinousar (same example) than wih an elf :P And remember that I´m saying to make different sizes for each subtype ;)
  6. I guess is something with the "long tail" issue. You could have some very popular options that sell the most and a lot of more obscure. Maybe some variations of classic and well sold archetypes. And some obscures options. How much obscure? Well, check the least sold fig, and compare the new one with that. Could be more popular? If yes, go on, if not, choose another one. Another point of view. Work with types and subtipes of creatures instead of individuals. Don´t make deonynchus, make simply dinosaurs. One small, one medium, one large. And so on. I guess that what sell most are pc characters. For example, I´m painting pc´s for my players, but I´m ok using non-painted figures or simply markers.
  7. Well, not all the minis were included on the vampire, but were profitable add ons. So maybe the add ons are the ones to be used to separate stretch free goals.
  8. any chance to see some pictures of the minis or the concept arts? ;)
  9. Ok, maybe it´s a strange question but I have problems with concept so I´ll ask anyway :D I come from warhammer background and we have the plastic glue (cement glue?) and the other, the one used with resin and metal. This second one is the cyanocrilate, the appropiate to use with bones?
  10. Ok, I could finally check everything. Some ideas in no order in particular Missing one goblin arm Missing one disco zombie No more missing pieces, really happy with the accuracy of this (a little disappointed seeing the goods some people got, but I can live with it :P) Really impressed with the detail The bonesium is lovely, I haven´t found a problem. I´ll see when I paint how it behave. I correct myself, kaladrax is ginormous. In the box is not a lot, but when you start puting it together... the same, in a smaller scale, with neyth Janan, Female Dragon Slayer seems to be a smaller scale than the rest. A pity, cause with the dragon head is a impressive mini Some minis have a strange face, I´m not saying horrible, just strange. Don´t know if because the modeling of because the bonesium Mason Thornwarden Nienna, Female Elf Ranger Rosie,Chronotechnician Zalash, Dark Elf Assassin (does he have eyes?) Dark Elf Warrior (really long arms) Bonnie Merisiel, Iconic Rogue Male Storm Giant (the neck junction) And that´s all. As you can say I´m being picky but I´m really happy with the minis and probably, I´ll be on the next ks.
  11. Well, in my selfcentered and humble opinion, I would take the D&D 3.5 core manuals (and or the pathfinder ones), make a list of each class and monster on them and look for the ones who lack miniature. A good thing about the last bones is that there are versions of monsters that usually appears in group, and that´s a nice thing.
  12. Yeah, pics are from the Reaper site, so if they are going to sell them in threes... Correct, two candelabras. For the zombies, the new one shows in 2 places because there was 1 in the original 30 and 2 in the "whatever the undead add on was called". You should end up with 2 "disco zombies" and 3 of "fred", the new zombie. Much appreciated, I guess that makes one disco zombie less, and one kobold with one arm (I think I will call him manquito (little one-armed on spanish)). Only two errors on a big big amount of miniatures, not bad at all. I appreciate also the exactly distribution on the boxes with almost no space lost I need now to confirm the pieces on the big ones :P
  13. Some progress on the inventory. I´m using the xls uploaded here for some fellow I felt a little confused sometimes with the figure counts of some pictures, but I think I could manage it. The same with the mummies and the fire pictures The treasure and candelabra, where it seems that the correct number is "two candelabra and 1 treasure" One type of zombie instead of the other one (but the numbers are right, four in total) The zombies entry on the xls seems repeated?
  14. Bigger? Did you get Kaladrax or Nethyrmaul? They are crazy big dragons and the others range from Large to Huge sizes depending on the model. I did I did, I just was confused with some photos and didn´t appreciate correctly the scale :P
  15. wow, this is going to be a lot of work. What I have seen is beautiful, with lot of details, no problems until now (apart from the usual bendy weapons), and I´m only a little concerned about the one hunter with the dragon head at her feets, and that is a little small compared with the rest. I have to say that I feel a little disappointed about the dragons minis, I was expecting them bigger, it seems I didn´t cath the size in the photos well. But after recalculating the size they are wonderful miniatures. I´ll inform when finish

  21. I can´t say that I´m really happy with that comments. I only can imagine the stress and pression they are suffering, but I would really recommend to reconsider each message before answer. Some points I would like to point: The "not giving refunds" is a point I wouldn´t mention... and I don´t know the legal issues about this. A defensive message that I don´t think is necessary. Quote Ok. But where is the feedback from people who wants more communication? It´s really important to not mix haters with just impatient customers.
  22. Some info @ Darrin Anderson: One project for one company, that was committed to long ago is being processed for Monte Cook, not plural, "other projects for other companies." We are casting copies for him to have at Gen Con not an entire release. The release will come later. Kickstarter fulfillment is the number one priority, but that does not mean that we don't have other obligations and other aspects of our business that must be maintained. @Jeff Spencer: There is nothing new to update as the information would just be a repeat of what we have already said. We are working on getting all backers their rewards. When that finishes we will be working on fixing peoples problems and issues while we restart our regular production so we can get caught up for the last 5 months of normal operations. No one here is sitting on their butts laughing at anyone. We are all working very hard to get this done. Trust me when I say, we will all be just as glad to be finished with this Kickstarter project as you will be to finally receive your rewards. They are coming to you as quickly as we can make it happen But, even with the huge amounts of work and vocal negativity, we are looking forward to launching our next Kickstarter soon.
  23. No offense, but that's incorrect. You can cancel your order. You can go onto ebay / TradeMe / regional_online_marketplace00 and get some sets that way. Or you can whinge long enough that someone else on the forums will be forced, in order to protect their own sanity, to give you a Vampire box in return for a promise that they'll get yours when the sun goes super-nova and it finally gets delivered. We have options. They're not necessarily good, or even smart options given the value we're getting, but for me at least the frustration and time I was wasting monitoring communications would have had me cancelling my order and buying from a 3rd party about a fortnight back. No offense intended, no offense taken ;) You are right, they aren´t your only options. Another one: receive the oathswarn dwarves that you pledged after the reaper and start painting them :D:D I understand your opinion but I don't agree with it. Reaper have a forum to encourage discussion about their products and to get valuable feedback. I've contributed in a positive way to show my appreciation for their work and support the company by recommending their miniatures on my blog. But that street goes two ways, if their products or service drop below an acceptable quality i'll point it out here (again hopefully in a positive way). I haven't shared my dissatisfaction on my blog yet and hope that providing feedback here will be sufficient and that it won't be necessary. If enough customers stand up and say 'we're not happy with this' Reaper will do something about it. In my case i'm not happy with the delay and very unhappy with being kept in the dark about why its happening and when it will end. I don't think thats unreasonable. I agree with you. The forum must be the correct place where discuss this issues. But we have 50 pages of wild speculation and angry customers and little input from reaper. On the other hand, the mails that have been sent have received answer. That´s why I have little faith on venting the disgust here. I would prefer a nicer thread where I can see faster the new info bits. The negativity kills me. Topic for another day is that, as I have stated before, I´m not really worried about this shippment. But that´s just my personal take on this.
