  1. Thanks for the info folks! I first locked in 11/22/17, have Baba Yaga's hut and the tree in my order, and haven't gotten a shipment notice (or ups link) yet. But I'm hopeful!
  2. I received my pledge of a single faction (abyssals) without any pre-notification.
  3. I only ordered unpainted addons, because I had the original dungeon set. So I'm pretty sure it's going to get delivered while I'm on vacation. How well do you think it'll handle the 90 degree heat?
  4. It's live. https://kickstarter.com/projects/dwarvenforge/caverns-deep-by-dwarven-forge-handcrafted-game-ter?ref=hero_thanks I'm number 29, in for the base unpainted pledge. I have the original caverns, so I don't think I want to go huuuuuge on this, but my last few entry level pledges crept up quite a bit by the end. I'm still waiting on my #5- I built my own collection out of addons, given that I already had a good start on the original dungeons. I hope they add the 'let's throw a little bit of the new stuff at our long running fans' addon again.
  5. They just sent us a KS update indicating that we should pay for shipping for the cardboard/paper stuff. I'm actually not sure what I'd be getting- I received the main pledge of two boxes (and maybe? some cards for 2.0). So I'm not sure what other cardboard sundries this shipment would include. The minis are so far out (Summer 2019) that they might not exist, and it's pretty clear I'm not playing this game soon. Should I even bother paying the shipping to get what they're sending?
  6. I ended at $255- but at the make your own pledge. I figure I can get a slightly better mix of things going piecemeal. Still, it's always more than I had initially planned. I may hem and haw a bit about the fixed pledge level (or just add more) if the pledge manager lets me move stuff around. I was changing my pledge as the kickstarter ended.
  7. The addons are already listed- walls, floors, corners. I'm excited. I really want bigger floor pieces. Backer #65.
  8. I have donated to all 4 kickstarters, but typically have only done the base pledge for each. The castles were as expensive as a decent set of their original stuff. I lug several tubs of them to a game store, drop them on the mat and set up rooms/dungeons on the fly. More would require me to have a more permanent place to set up- so I'm happy with what I have. I still drool over bigger cities and streets. I should have added the street and sewers. Not sure about how often I'd need big castle walls, so I only bought a tower and hut in 4. Hopefully 5 will be
  9. As someone who A) participated in all 3 DF KSs, and B) hasn't received a shipping notice for his order from #3, I'm not on the fence. If they offer something that I can see myself using in a year, I'll put down some money for it. I have no doubts that I'm going to receive the sets that I ordered. I'm not at all bothered that they're putting up the next kickstarter at the end of shipping this one, as they've been reliable and forthcoming with all of the steps of the process.
  10. I received my upgrade to doom tracker's and other cardboard stuffs. I will have to pull out my original ones, as it doesn't seem to be that much thicker.
  11. My wave 1, locked in at the end of the pledge manager, made it to about 20 mins from my house yesterday. It will sit there until Tuesday's delivery. I'm pretty sure I've contemplated the risk/reward ratio of breaking into a UPS facility and ultimately decided that I was 3 compatriots short of a strike team. I am patient.
  12. I considered getting an extra graveyard, but eventually didn't. I was on the fence about more fences. My game group just got to a Cthulhu cult filled seaside town... so even if I have to throw them down unpainted, the new bones will get some mat action.
  13. Maybe I just skimmed the email, but I didn't devote enough time to figuring out that NA was 'North America.' Dang kids and their text speak. I read the email, wondered what N.A. was and then continued being distracted by real life. I guess I'm the lazy one! (echo Woot.)
  14. I'm in no big hurry. I'm slowly churning through bones I and II, along with Myth and Cthuhlu Wars... I'm immortal.
  15. I've not received anything, and I'm not ordering broccoli.
  16. Got mine. I was pretty disappointed in the base- the edges are rough, the plastic is uneven, the pad hangs off the edge, and I can't get the screws in and out without grabbing a tool. They're a bit too long. The stamps themselves look fine- I'll know more when I get a chance to test them out. I still think I like the thicker ones from the original kickstarter, though.
  17. I've been happy with buying in to these on a basic level, just enough to get stretch goals. I have to remind myself that every 10lb of dwarvenite has to be carried into the game shop when we play. I recently divided the three kickstarters up into 3 tubs, just so I could carry only the ones I needed for the day. But darn it, I keep looking at huge builds with streets and sewers, which makes a pretty awesome display. I'll be happy with my tower, but there's an awful temptation to expand the pledge when I get the pm.
  18. I'm thinking of getting the wizard's outpost and plopping it down on top of the watchtower. I have a little from all 3 of the previous kickstarters. I feel like I can mock up a square castle (obviously not as beautifully as from this kickstarter) with the first k1 pieces, but can't reproduce the towers.
  19. Sewer rat (dire rat?) and a villager with a mug for me too. The pieces made their debut as a barracks last weekend.
  20. Unboxing http://s251.photobucket.com/user/gmpathfinder/media/20160106_154309_zpsz7nonawh.jpg.html A quick build: http://s251.photobucket.com/user/gmpathfinder/media/20160106_162716_zpsbyebvzin.jpg.html With a mini for height comparison: http://s251.photobucket.com/user/gmpathfinder/media/20160106_163048_zpsmm4z9c2d.jpg.html I found the walls to be a bit too short- I didn't have time to grab some of the other kickstarter walls to compare.
  21. It still states 'ready to ship', but it's now in my hands. Did you get a shipping notice? Or did you find out in some other way that your package had been shipped? I'm a bit paranoid about this because my stuff's being sent to a UPS Store so I can drive across the border and pick it up (having them ship it the extra 100km across the border and to my house added something like $250/$300 US to the cost! That's a lot of extra dwarvenite!) and I don't want to have it sitting there accumulating fees just because I didn't realise it had been sent... I got an email announcing that it w
  22. I'm expecting my 9lb package today! I only got the basic level that gave stretch goals. I will post pics when it gets unboxed.
  23. My second wave arrived. I only added the high priests and a t-shirt, so my boxes were mostly the collectors minis. They are really nice, and I may have to paint them up for other games. My only complaint is that the t-shirt is a boring white. I didn't expect it to be an exact match to the picture, but would have preferred any non-white color.
  24. I have the original set (or most of them). They're my go-to basing stamps. I only got an additional stamp from their second kickstarter- I'm not sure how the walls/build your own dungeon thing is working out for others. I'm glad they're going back to new textures and variety.
  25. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/53020943/dan-arielys-irrational-card-game Dan Ariely is a well known author and research in behavioral economics (psychology/economics/social sciences). His bestseller Irrationally Rational is fantastic. He's created a card game revolving around trivia for social science research. Some of the proceeds will go toward funding more research. I'm not sure how replayable the game will be, but I'm certainly getting a copy (maybe several) for my classes. It's a little niche- but it combines my job (research/teaching psychology) and my gaming hobbies
