  1. Effingcool Miniatures has one I just came across today called Cyborg Zeek
  2. Was Sleight of Hand the lockpick skill in 3E or something? I see people in 5E forums all the time who think this is this case, but it isn't. I guess I could see the DM allowing it, but I think it's clear the intention was to use tool proficiency for it. (I jumped from 1e to 5e, with a little bit of 4E and Pathfinder). I'm pretty sure I still screw this up a lot, until pasting these I didn't realize it applied to traps, too. DMG p. 103, Locked Doors. Characters who don't have the key to a locked door can pick the lock with a successful Dexterity check (doing so requires thieves' tools and proficiency in their use). PHB p. 95, (Rogue) PROFICIENCIES Armor: Light armor Weapons: Simple weapons, hand crossbows, longswords, rapiers, shortswords Tools: Thieves' tools PHB p. 154, Thieves' Tools: "Proficiency with these tools lets you add your proficiency bonus to any ability checks you make to disarm traps or open locks" PHB P 315, (Index): pick locks. See thieves' tools (sends you to p 154 above) PHB p. 177, Sleight of Hand. Whenever you attempt an act of legerdemain or manual trickery, such as planting something on someone else or concealing an object on your person, make a Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check. The DM might also call for a Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check to determine whether you can lift a coin purse off another person or slip something out of another person's pocket. (nothing about lock picking) PHB p. 177, Other Dexterity Checks. The DM might call for a Dexterity check when you try to accomplish tasks like the following: Control a heavily laden cart on a steep descent Steer a chariot around a tight turn Pick a lock Disable a trap Securely tie up a prisoner Wriggle free of bonds Play a stringed instrument Craft a small or detailed object (as an aside, WTH?!? on most of these -- they map pretty closely with existing proficiencies or actual skills that are tied to different abilities than dex)
  3. I painted a pair of the smaller black oozes to look that way. Since they are already dark translucent plastic, I just lightly painted red, yellow, green, and purple along the various raised bits (the smaller oozes are more "ropey"), but not painting them the entire length or going for full coverage, and letting the other colors sometimes break up the pattern. Then I brushed on gloss varnish. I can't tell now, but I might have used metallic paints. They were definitely brighter colors. They are a completely different effect to Chris Palmer's, but they give you the effect of reflected color and look decent from tabletop distances. For the dragon you might just paint it randomly like your oil slick, then drybrush it over with black until it's mostly covered? Maybe paint it glossy black and glaze it with your brighter colors?
  4. They already make a Yeenoghu. It could probably use some updating, but it is spot-on for the illustration in the 1st edition Monster Manual 2(?). https://www.reapermini.com/search/gnoll/latest/02704
  5. That show has waited a long time for a second season. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2933118
  6. What little bit of saddle there is is on the Roderick portion. All 4 points of Glitter's harness come together at a point just before the wings. There's a little nub there that fits into a pocket in the bottom of Roderick (you can see it in haldir's pic if you look close). You could easily file it off and not notice, assuming you don't have a problem with the harness otherwise. 5 pieces: Glitter, Roderick, Rod's arm+lance, wing 1, wing 2. As a caution, I have had metal minis in the past that were different when recreated in Bones. I don't remember any examples off the top of my head, though. It honestly wouldn't shock me if the rider and mount were one piece, or if the lance wasn't separate from the rider this time.
  7. I fully agree with those 1st 4 bullets -- especially the fey. Check these: gorgon https://www.reapermini.com/search/bull/latest/77256 sphinx https://www.reapermini.com/search/sphinx/latest/77576
  8. How big are the scions? Did they explain why there are only 3? Is there another that's already currently being produced?
  9. The dice that belong to the core set are loose, separate from the core box in their own plastic box. When they realized they were going to run out of dice, they started only including the dice that were add-on purchases. So if you only had the core set dice and didn't get them, they owe you one. I don't believe they have said if/what their plan is to get them ordered and out to people. All my paints were full and actually had lids on them (unlike my holiday paint purchase). No clue what the grey caps are meant to indicate, if anything, but Lotus Orange, Orchid Purple, Oxide Brown, Oxide Red, and Oxide Yellow (NOT Ochre Yellow) all had grey caps for me. The rest were white
  10. Yeah. I misjudged where and which direction some of them should be, but even after finding homes for the rest I still wasn't able to get one of them to squeeze into the boat. I think it's going to need to be trimmed. I didn't work on it too long, though. If you got the Brinewind Extras, did your cart come with the lantern and cargo? I would assume it was just for show in the picture, but the little sailboat was actually filled with all the stuff in the picture.
  11. I don't suppose anyone archived the pledge manager photos, did they? I'm trying to inventory and having quite a struggle, especially with the add-ons that were only listed in the pledge manager. I can't get into my original pledge because they locked it when they shipped, the new pledge manager doesn't show a lot of the things I got, and I'm having little luck finding things searching through the KS updates. It would be nice to know which items had bonus figures added, for example, but I don't think those made it to the KS campaign page or the new pledge manager. Also, does anyone know if the lantern and cargo on the cart in the Brinewind Extras are supposed to actually be included? Were there supposed to be 8 henchmen? Extra Wall of Thorns was supposed to be 4 walls, correct? The top of the middle head on the 3-headed ogre/etin is open, exposing the post. Am I missing a cover/hat of some kind, or is the head malformed?
  12. I would love to see it. At the very least, it would be nice if the figures that are multi-part in metal came with the same options in Bones. You can't kit-bash them into one of the forms you can make with the metal mini if there is no cast of the alternate head, for example -- but if that other head came in the pack so you could lop the attached one off and install it, that would be great.
  13. On the topic of Miniature Monday, I hope people realize the Miniature Monday Color Palette doesn't come with the miniatures listed, even though it bears the caveat, " All figures come unpainted."
  14. According to the pronunciation guide published in Dragon Magazine #93, it's: AT-yug
  15. Thanks. I thought it might be something like that, but I don't remember it being marked Limited Edition. It's right next to Rose Gold, numerically. Is that LE, too? Is there a number range or anything that identifies them? I'm pretty bummed about missing it, I'd hate to have it happen again. I'm going to place an order today, so I'd like to hit any that are going away (I see a bunch I thought were nice colors are out already ).
  16. Around the time Rose Gold came out, there was another new color called Sophie Champagne. A couple weeks ago I tried making an order and it was listed as out of stock. Now it doesn't appear at all. Does anyone know what the deal is? Sophie Champagne 09609
  17. I'm pretty shocked to learn of this "Golden Rule of Sculpting." The last time the Reaper Fanboy Brigade jumped down someone's throat, it was because that person expected the sculpt to look like the concept art -- which, as everyone should already know, is just craaaaazy. Right? What happened to that?
  18. Amazon has already corrected the image. My favorite thing that Amazon allows is people advertising a product, often long out of print, that is actually a print-out of the Wikipedia article for that item. So you might think you're buying the AD&D 1st edition S-series modules for a great price, but not getting anything like that. I haven't stumbled across that in a while, maybe they put a stop to it.
  19. Thanks for the answers. I'm not sure why people are getting so touchy about a question being asked. Nobody's criticizing whoever Kit is. I thought maybe the gold ring was the badge. There isn't any info anywhere I could see describing the badge or indicating when it would be available (or if it already had been given out). The question about matching forum email with KS email is a good one as well.
  20. Ah, I got beaten to the punch on Snow Goons. How about Krampus? (my first attempt at a link here, apologies if it doesn't work right).
