  1. Hopefully the first of many, this was an experiment in color - in this case, green. And while his wide stance was a problem at first, I made it work. Karahl Farstep: Hood and cloak are both a mix of Brilliant Green and Linen White, 3:1 for the darker areas and 1:2 everywhere else. The cloak is shadowed with purple (thanks, @Cyradis!), and I think it came out pretty nicely in front. Had to redo the back due to becoming shadow happy. For the light greens I was hoping to achieve something close to mint green, but it came out a lot more washed out and boring than hoped. So I freehanded borders around those parts with some Palomino Gold. Not daring enough to do anything fancier than that yet, but I think it makes a positive difference. Comments and critiques welcome, I’d like to know what works or doesn’t, and what to try and do better next time.
  2. Good afternoon everyone! I've finished this tabletop + figure for one of my Players in my Broken Gods D&D game, this is Cairan the Warlock (pronounced as Keer-awn). He's the god of Death and War (tactics), think Valkyrie or the goddess "Morrigan" from Celtic lore. Anyhow, it took probably 4-ish hours do do this figure to the TT+ standard and I added an eagle or hawk familiar from one of the bones familiar packs to his shoulder painted up as a large crow as the character has a large crow as a familiar. Sorry for blurry pics, my phone is not cooperating with me today! Anyhow, C&C are welcomed and appreciated, thanks for looking!
  3. Hey there all, This is my first time painting a miniature; I have always wanted to do it and just never did. So finally a group of my friends and I set up a game of Pathfinder and I needed a mini for my character. This presented the perfect opportunity for me to try my had at painting a miniature. I tried out a few different techniques, layering, drybrushing, oil wash and like the final product. Any constructive criticisms would be appreciated. Cheers all, Will
