  1. This will be the Terrain build-up thread for the Valkyria Chronicles scenario I am creating here: Let’s Make … Gallia to Arms! A 20mm Valkyria Chronicles Scenario I wanted to create a double effect with the terrain. On one hand, my goal was to recreate the atmosphere that Valkyria Chronicles radiates, this special kind of game and anime combination that made the game's artstyle so unique. On the other hand I was aware that there is some difference between the view the player in VC has on the units and terrain and the view a player has on a board game. So I decided to mix the overall design with the art style of the original Blitzkrieg strategy game. Well then - gehen wir's an!
  2. Hey everyone, Here's a 20mm Qin Chinese sword fighter from Caesar miniatures, which I painted two years ago as a test miniature for a 20mm variant of Warhammer Ancient Battles - the project never really came to life, because then all my companions decided they didn't want to do it in 20mm anymore. I still have got a group of those ancient Chinese fighters, and this one is the best looking, I think (haha). Never got the NMM right, nor the real metallic (or what it is called), but I think he came out pretty decend with his head wound (which is a cover up of a missed seam line). Enjoy the pictures.
  3. Here's a group of 20mm Bunderwehr soldiers which I did for a skirmish game. They are from Revell of Germany and Elhiem miniatures. Special emphasis was laid on their Flecktarn camo as it is a very distinctive pattern and is absolutely horrible to paint in such a small scale. But I think it came out pretty decent. Enjoy!
  4. Well then, Let's go on. As written in my WIP thread ->Check Here<-, the first few Gallian infantry units for my Valkyria Chronicles scenario ->Check Here<- are done. That means: First few units are ready to be shown. As I wrote, those are units I made over a time frame of almost 4 years now, so I guess a constant quality improvement is clearly visible. Still - even if they are not perfect to the last, every of these figures is quite dear to me. As you can see, on the first two I tried to apply eyes, but it looks weird, so I am currently thinking of repainting their faces. Some details: And just to give an idea of the scale - here's Reaper's Troll Slayer Sophie for comparison: Next units are already on their way.
  5. I've been working on a set of 1:72 modern Afghanistan Bundeswehr infantry (in shooting poses). They're for a young German company and I'm making these as a sort of pilot project. I think it will be absolutely amazing to have my work cast and for people to paint and play with them. So far I have completed one guy. I'll need to cut him up for casting but not just yet (I'm scared). I just started on the next two guys. I will be making 5 total for this batch with more hopefully afterwards.
