  1. This is a project many years in the making. I recently painted my first miniatures from their 15mm line and that has reignited my desire to play their accompanying systems. So jumping in feet first I made my initial order containing multiple starting armies and rule systems. Today everything arrived and I have a new mountain of metal on my desk. So my first decision is 15mm or 28mm first? In the end I decided to start with the 15mm scale figures I fell in love with. Having an understanding of them at that scale combined with a paint recipe made this an easy choice. I got right to work filing down mold lines and nearly finished one bag of miniatures.
  2. A new TerrainCrate KS has launched! I've personally got a bunch of TerrainCrate stuff already, and use it a lot in my games. Some new pieces would definitely be nice! 😄 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/manticgames/terraincrate-3-bring-the-background-to-the-foreground
  3. Well, King Games is back with their fourth Dunkeldorf KS, named "The Streets of Dunkeldorf"! And they've already crushed the base goal, as well as the initial two stretch goals! Currently at 97,500 DKK/$13,200 USD of 12,000 DKK/$1600 USD. 😄 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kinggames/the-streets-of-dunkeldorf There are three pledges: "Copper Coin" ($7) gives you a single miniature and access to the pledge manager. "Silver Coin" ($41) gives you all eight base minis, art print, and all "Silver Stretch Goals"(which I interpret as probably half the stretch goals). "Gold Coin" ($67) gives you everything in the "Silver Coin" pledge, plus the Road Signs(3x) and Street Lanterns(3x) sets, as well as the Notice Board. And of course, all "Gold Stretch Goals". Both "Silver Coin" and "Gold Coin" have "Early Bird" versions for the first day, which gives you a set of three mutant birds(one for each stage, turning from normal to mutated, two headed bird).
  4. A new kickstarter from Hasslefree Miniatures.: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hfminis/hf-minis-galactic-universe-sci-fi-miniatures/description While I personally have never had any real problems from this manufacturer, I'm aware that many people have had some nightmare experiences. So I am in for a dozen metal figures with fingers firmly crossed. Caveat emptor!
  5. Hi chums! This is the latest Kickstarter project, expanding our fantasy range this time, and bringing light to the ones we have that might not have been noticed. Along with some super cool female minis, we have some brand new scenics too, and a whole bunch of add on bundles. I'll post more on the lead up, but for now if you're interested, could you click the "notify me" on the pre launch page and it will help the algorithms, and you know algorithms are the new gods! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/badsquiddogames/definitely-not-damsels-28mm-women-warriors-for-ttrpg
  6. More villagers for your town! Many of these poses are unique and, afaik, unavailable elsewhere. All In Pledge shows all sets available in this KS. Sets and smaller bundlers are available, and sets from the previous Villagers KS are available now from the creator's website. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/blackstone/blackstone-heath-the-villagers-part-2
  7. Short Kickstarter from Bad Squiddo games for female Soviet troopers for WWII gaming. Thiis expands their existing range and adds troops clad for winter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/badsquiddogames/women-of-ww2-soviet-russia-28mm-miniatures Story Hello! This is a Kickstarter to increase our existing WW2 Soviets range. Already massively popular since the first wave launch of 2016, we decided it needs reinforcements! The miniatures are sculpted and master cast, so this project is to cover the funds of production moulds and the initial casts. BORING BUT IMPORTANT TECHNICALS - The miniatures are 28mm scale and cast in extremely high quality white metal. Everything is single piece where possible. They come without bases supplied but with moulded on small puddle bases (easy to chop off if you wish to). And of course - they are compatible with the similar male miniatures from other manufacturers. They are supplied unpainted - so you can either paint them yourself or simply bring out the detail with an ink wash. Shipping is charged in addition to your pledge, AFTER THE CAMPAIGN, scroll to the bottom for more information. Please don't add the shipping cost during the campaign. EU Customers be aware of additional import fees, more on that later too.
  8. These look like fun. 26 hours left.... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1004971769/skrap-runtz-3d-printable-miniatures-0?
  9. Stumbled across this and thought others might find it of interest. They certainly have some different figures. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wildspire/monsters-of-solan-fantasy-monster-miniatures tory Welcome! Need generic and predictable miniature designs?? We are not for you. Imaginative fantasy absolutely requires imaginative miniatures. Our primary aim is to provide miniatures that surprise backers and enhance their creativity and spark their imagination. Made for fantasy tabletop role-playing games, like Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder, but also for painters and collectors. Special thanks and recognition to 3D modeler, Miguel Zavala, aka MZ4250. Many of the designs in this set were designed and crafted by him. See his Patreon for many FREE 3D printable STL file for download. From this set, his works include: the Lamia, Wyrmling, Lizardfolk, Tiefling Outlander, Deep Gnome, Sharkenbear, Beer Golem, and Ratmancer. The design and size of some of these have been modified for this campaign.
  10. Finished up the companion to the "Stug" mech I posted earlier this year. This is the "Tiger" mech from West Wind Productions, although this build-out differs from what they currently offer on their website. Friend of mine picked it up in their kickstarter and asked me to paint it for him as he doesn't like doing vehicles. I drilled out the "turret" and the legs and epoxied magnets in so the turret can rotate. They're 1/4" so you can actually pick the thing up by the turret! Base coat and camo is Tamiya, details are in an assortment of manufacturers paints. Weathered with an oil pin wash and Secret Weapon pigments. Markings are from a 1/48 sheet of dry transfers from Archer.
  11. It's been 6 years since I last played a sci-fi table top game in 28mm. Wondering what is out there BESIDES 40k these days? What are you playing and/or what do you recommend? My favorite in the past were 40k 2e and Necromunda. I prefer more skirmish level, and capable of handling multiple players/sides.
  12. 28mm scale "Stug" mech I painted for a friend. I know he got it out of a Kickstarter, but otherwise no idea who makes it. He'll be finishing the base to match the rest of his army. Tried some different paints and techniques and pushed the 'weathering' further than I have before. All in all I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
  13. I know there are a few folks that do Bolt Action and similar 28mm wargaming (@buglips), so I thought I'd bounce this out there. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tftb/world-war-ii-soviet-railroad?ref=discovery_recommendations Story Railroads are an important means to transport troops, equipment, ammunition and all other kinds of supply to the front. Especially in a country as vast as the Soviet Union with it's endless steppes, only few reliable roads and no major rivers running in the direction of the German advance during Operation Barbarossa in World War II. With this set of detailed buildings and rolling stock in 1/56 scale for 28mm figures you get the opportunity to recreate the crucial fighting around the Soviet railroad system. The kits focus on the major pieces of rolling stock available to the Soviet defenders: box cars, gondola cars and flat cars. And the mighty ALCo RSD-1 Diesel Engine which was made available under the US Lend-Lease Act. Also included is a typical rural train station with optional additional platforms for all who want to depict a Soviet - or captured German - supply depot, where heavy equipment like tanks and guns are being unloaded. And for all of you looking for an armored train - don't worry! We have you covered. Talking about railroad tracks: We did not see the need to reinvent the wheel, so all kits are designed to be used with 4Ground Railroad Tracks (available as add-ons to the Kickstarter) or O Gauge Model Railroad Tracks The kits include optional parts enabling you to choose your favorite system while assembling. Going this route has allowed us to concentrate on designing and producing the rolling stock only, which has the advantage of an earlier fulfillment date for the Kickstarter. All models are highly detailed on the outside and inside. The interiors are easily accessible, as roofs are removable. In addition, all doors are moveable, which means you can open or close them during gameplay.
  14. 3 new figures and a chance to get the original 10 from a previous project. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1240892696/three-nomads?ref=discovery&term=miniature

  16. hey, I don't remember if i have already posted a message about my blog (Since 2014) : If you are interested in conversions about figurines (mainly 28mm) and terrain. Go here : http://chti-reanimator59.blogspot.com/ Some of my work are present on this forum like : https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/84673-77434-bones-yeti-chieftain-conversion-into-amazonian-creature/&tab=comments#comment-1834807 https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/85147-from-bones-77170-clay-golem-to-maui-hawaien-hero/&tab=comments#comment-1803041 This is a french edition but the Translate button could be very useful to get the feeling of my work (lots of pictures and step by step to help you to understand. 17. PuzzleLock is 3d printable terrain for creating dimensional maps for your RPG games. The tiles connect together on the tabletop like a jigsaw puzzle! I have already created and tested PuzzleLock Caves and PuzzleLock Dungeons, now I am running a Kickstarter to raise funds to create additional playsets. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/zandoria/puzzlelock-playsets We are 298% funded in our second week! I hope that you will check it out!
  18. My first show off thread! Not because I am prouder of these than anything else, more that these were close to hand when I considered taking photos and keeping more of a visual record of my mini painting adventures. OH's dad and partner got me these, amongst other, Otherworld Miniatures for Christmas and I thought these were really fun sculpts! I did these in one evening (and maybe another half hour the next day), and I'm happy with their table-top level quality. I used aquarium plant on the bases and I'm thinking I may go back and paint over that as it is quite bold- but for now I consider these done! Unfortunately I can't foresee these swamp-dwellers making an appearance in my City dwelling d&d campaign, but you never know!
  19. A kickstarter from a company called Rebel Minis, who I have no experience with; https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1117146348/dark-hold-kobold-28mm-scale-miniatures-horde-for-r?ref=category_newest&ref=discovery It looks like quite a good way to get a large number of figures, all rather old-school and not at all expensive. There is an early-bird add-on of a goblin pack-bearer, which I like the look of.
  20. Hi everybody, Our Feral Lands campaign is going live on Tuesday, and I would like to share a draft since I always got valuable feedback in this forum. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/westfaliaminiatures/1220483270?ref=514475&token=8affa265
  21. Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War A miniatures game featuring exciting boarding actions in the universe of the Traveller RPG, with Imperial Marines battling Zhodani. Campaign FAQ Updates 0 Comments 12 Community Back this project Saved About Greetings fellow Travellers, and welcome to the Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War Kickstarter project! This is a project we have been wanting to do for Traveller for a long time now, and we need your help to bring it to light... Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War is a brand new miniatures game depicting vicious shipboard clashes between Imperial Marines and Zhodani Commandos during one of the mightiest conflicts to occur in Charted Space - the Fifth Frontier War. This game includes everything you need to engage in these close quarter battles, including full colour deluxe game boards, strategy cards, vital and never-before-seen background covering the Imperium and Zhodani Consulate, and two complete forces ready to fight! Inside the Box The Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War box set contains: 16 Imperial Marines 16 Zhodani Commandos, including 2 Warbots Full-colour 64 page Rulebook (download sample pages right HERE!) 40 Unit and Strategy Cards 6 Deluxe Gameboards (11.7 x 16.5 inches each) Thick cardstock counters to mark Wounds, Entry Points, Barricades and Objectives. Free-standing Iris Valves, in both open and closed configurations. Keep an eye on our Updates, as we will have plenty more previews of the rules, miniatures, and a full battle report of one of the missions! Playing the Game We have created a rules set that is very easy to get to grips with (you will have the basic rules memorised within a few minutes of playing) and yet mirrors the core rules of the Traveller RPG closely. All actions, for example, are accomplished by succeeding in an appropriate check (such as a Gun Combat check to shoot an enemy or Computers check to hack a sealed door). Play begins by selecting a ship to board, such as a Destroyer, Cruiser, or (gulp!) Battleship, and then both players build appropriate forces to attack or defend the vessel. This could be as small as a platoon or an entire company, depending on the type of ship being assaulted. An initial breach scenario is played and, from there, players will proceed through several scenarios as the two forces battle one another, culminating in either the attacking force reaching a critical objective, such as the power plant or bridge, or the defenders throwing their enemies off the ship altogether! This campaign-style of game means players have to be careful as to which forces they commit and when, marshalling their best troops for the most important fights. To complicate matters, both players will acquire Strategy Cards that will allow them to wrong foot their enemy - like turning off the ship's artificial gravity or explosively venting the atmosphere, exposing everyone to the void! Stretch Goals The Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War box set contains everything you need to play these exciting battles on the tabletop - but we have the opportunity to give you more for your money and further expand this corner of the Traveller universe. Taken on the Run If we reach a total of £60,000, we will include a printed short story written by fan-favourite Martin Dougherty. Taken on the Run begins during the first few minutes of the Fifth Frontier War and will take you through a dangerous boarding action from the point of view of the Imperial Marines. The Aslan We do not want the Imperials and Zhodani to have all the fun! If we reach a total of £80,000, we will add both the rules and 16 miniatures for the powerful Aslan, a warrior race who will look forward to boarding the largest enemy warships. The Aslan lack the sophisticated armour of the Imperium, but more than make up for that with lethal weaponry, a penchant for close combat, and sheer predatory ferocity! The Vargr Often derided as mere corsairs and pirates, the Vargr have a lot to prove. If we reach a total of £100,000, we will add both the rules and 16 miniatures for a Vargr raiding force. While not known as mighty warriors, the Vargr are exceedingly good at what they do, and many a starship has fallen to their cunning tactics. Multi-Deck Battles If we reach a total of £110,000, we will add rules to combine two or more sets of Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War so you can launch multi-deck assaults upon a warship and really keep the defenders on their toes! After More Traveller? Traveller is one of the oldest Roleplaying Games still around, and it has built up a massive amount of background lore. You can explore this universe by adding any of the following to your pledge, simply by increasing the amount you have pledged by the appropriate amount (no need to increase your pledge level, just the pledge amount!). These items will be dispatched to you post free after the surveys for the Kickstarter have been sent out, or when they are available, whichever is soonest. Traveller Starter Set (everything you need to start playing the Traveller RPG): £50 The Element Class Cruisers Ship Builder's Blueprints (explore the inner workings of an Imperial warship): £50 The Pirates of Drinax (a massive sandbox campaign to throw you into the Traveller universe): £70 Ties to the RPG? One question we have already been asked is whether you can take Travellers from the RPG and use them in Vanguard... We will not be producing 'adventurer' miniatures at this time, but we will be taking steps to ensure miniatures produced for future games are compatible with Vanguard. However, if you already have some suitable miniatures, it is an easy step to import them into Vanguard, as the important skills will translate across directly. After that, it is just a matter of worrying about the equipment. If you have characters you would like to see in Vanguard, drop us a line in the comments and we will go through them, walking you through the process to convert them! Risks and challenges We have always delivered on our Kickstarter projects and if you were to ask one of our previous backers of, say, the new Paranoia or previous Traveller project Element Cruisers Blueprints box set, we believe you would hear that the quality of our Kickstarter projects is always worth it. That said, we have taken steps to ensure Vanguard does not overrun its projected completion date. For a start, while tweaks will continue throughout the Kickstarter process, all Imperial and Zhodani miniatures are complete (you can see painted prototypes above!), the game boards are finished, and the core rules written and undergoing continual playtests. For the production of both the box set and miniatures, we are using a factory that we have used many times in the past, including the recent Traveller box sets, Paranoia supplements, and (a blast from the past!) the award-winning Starship Troopers miniatures game. This company is highly reliable and consistently produces good work on time. Mongoose Publishing announced the start date of the KS for their Traveller 28mm skirmish game as Nov 14th. http://blog.mongoosepublishing.co.uk/?m=201811
  22. Mwuahahahaha!!!!!!!! So one of the central villains in my HS game club game are going to be a band of cultists worshiping an evil snake god. I've been painting up the various Reaper Bones cultists to represent this group. This info is unknown to the players yet, so I had a yelp of excitement and joy when I was reading the kid's PC backgrounds last night. One of the PCs listed her estranged mother's profession as a "cultist". Perfect tie in to the villain - but then I had a sad face when I realized this PC is a gnome, and thus her mother would be a gnome, too. So now I am on a quest to find a decent mini to represent a gnome (or halfling) cultist. Any suggestions?
  23. Pendraken is a company that does a wide range of 10mm historical and fantasy minis. Occasionally under other trade names they branch out into some other stuff like terrain or larger figs. In this case they are doing 28mm moderns under the trade name Militia Miniatures. Since their very friendly forum is my second home as far as posting about the hobby, I figured I would share this here even though I don't really do modern conflicts. What is Militia Miniatures? Militia Miniatures was first launched through Kickstarter in 2014, with an initial set of 10 modern mercenary personalities. 139 backers helped us reach our goal and all of the pledges were delivered within 2 months! It's taken a bit longer than we'd hoped but we're now back with a fantastic new sculptor and another 50 sculpts, all suitable for wargaming, roleplaying, or simply collecting and painting! For this project, we've had 50 new 28mm sculpts produced by the extremely talented Paolo Fabiani, which are all waiting to go into moulds. If we can hit and exceed our target then we've got some nice extra goals planned... Here is the link to the KS.
  24. I do like Copplestone Castings Future War range: This chap has plainly had a REALLY bad day at the office.
  25. About The Amazons are a new line of 28mm white metal and urethane resin table top gaming figurines from RBJ Game Company.
