  2. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/joinordie/the-willing-of-the-sleepers-betrayal Another project by 3DBreed Miniatures. Two armies, imperial soldiers vs tribal raptor riders. Multipart 32mm models, far less stumpy than their March to Hell models (which were also for 15mm scale).
  3. A ranger I painted up for someone's first ever D&D character. His name is Bad Dog, he was raised by wolves. Also, first real attempt at doing some basing, added some mud to a spare base I had printed and also muddied up his boots a bit.
  4. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/claudiagallery/norse-godesses-miniatures "I have great admiration for the Norse mythology, and I find the style behind this culture fascinating. So, I decided that my third Kickstarter project should be related to this style that I admire so much. On this opportunity, I will present some characters to you that I hold very dear. These Norse Goddesses are among my most recent personal creation, and I hope you like them as much as I do."
  5. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2004599158/black-crab-miniatures?ref=discovery About The finished miniatures, fully painted. As well as running Meridian Miniatures for the last 6 years I have been involved in the wider miniatures hobby in my spare time. While browsing Instagram I came across the artwork of @blackcrabart and knew that I had to sculpt miniatures based on the amazing pictures that I saw. The original sculpts I had such an amazing response when I shared the images online that I decided to set up a modest Kickstarter to fund their production and enable people to get their hands on them. I'd like to thank Moritz @blackcrabart for allowing me to use his artwork, check out the original pictures below. Risks and challenges The master models are already with the caster so barring postal problems I don't see any significant problems arising.

  7. My favorite mini shown is the fairy archer which seems to not be in any pledge level or addon?
  8. Finally have gotten back to painting; what a joy !!! Felt like a major portion of my life had gone away. Poor Alfyn has been sitting on my desk forlorn for over 30 days. I finally said enough, and here he is finished. He is such a majestic Viking I wanted to get him elevated as he reminded me of my beloved Fjords. Well here he is at the pinnacle of a fjord looking at his dragon boat pulled up on the shore. Feel free to make any comments, criticisms, they're ALL appreciated. So here is Alfyn Crowkiller Wilding Captain as I envisioned him. Jasonator.
  9. Looks like Twisted is coming out with a kickstarter! AND IT'S LIVE! We've seen quite a few of them painted up on the forum, very cool steampunk figures. The company is owned/operated by Sebastian Archer who also owns/sculpts for his other brand (Guild of Harmony). I've ordered a few GoH figures in the past and Sebastian always gets the figures out from Australia to the US very quickly. Some of the figures from Twisted - EXCITING NEWS! The countdown is now on: we have set a date for the launch of the Twisted Kickstarter campaign - February 16th! Note it down in your diaries and stay tuned for more information about what will be included in the campaign. As well as launching the Twisted rules and adding lots and lots of new miniatures, we have some very exciting surprises in store for you. All will be revealed soon - we can't wait!
  10. Here is my first mini I've ever done. 32mm metal Fiama from Enigma. Learned a lot from painting it. Still need to learn to enhance the contrasts and work on washes, etc. Any advice is welcome.
  11. FANTASY FOOTBALL - Florence's Knights: Bretonans and Humans by Greebo Games The Bretonans miniatures look good for gaming: knights (one has something precious you could repurpose), town guards, and townsfolk. The Imperial team looks football only.
  12. Good afternoon again! Just finished Bale, the party's Eldrich Knight and god of Thunder/Battle for my current D&D campaign entitled "Broken Gods" Another one that's painted up to TT+ standard for me and took about 3-4 hours to do. Thanks for looking, C&C are welcomed and appreciated!
  13. It's been a while since I posted anything I'm working on, quite frankly I've not been working on anything the last couple of months, I ran outta steam on a couple of projects I was doing about 3/4 of the way through on them and will finish them (eventually). Anyhow, I'm working on 3 tabletop plus figures for 3 of my D&D group friends who are playing in my current campaign entitled "Broken Gods." All the characters were gods 5,000 years ago. Then the event happened, the peoples of the world stopped believing in them. They were cast down to the earth and have just now awoken... The PC's are all Demigods with extraordinary powers, but they have no memories of their former selves yet, they gain those as they progress and level up. The three PC's I'm currently working on are the party warlock, party eldritch knight and party bard. I have included inspiration pics of their characters they provided to me. Bale the Eldritch Knight, god of thunder and battle - the figure is from the Minx kickstarter, I modified him by cutting off and filing off spikes that were protruding from his back and bare arm, I noticed he has 4 fingers, but this is so close of a figure to the pic that I ran with it. Next is the party Warlock, Cairan (pronounced keer-awn). He's the god of death and war tactics, think Valkyrie. The figure is reaper 03505 (Karahl Farstep). He has an affinity with ravens so I took an eagle or hawk from one of the reaper bones familiar packs, mounted it on his shoulder and am painting it up as a raven. Finally we have Cadence, the goddess of Sunlight and Music - she's the party bard. I took DSM-7437 (Female Rogue Dual Wield by Jeff Grace) and modified it, cutting off the dagger in her offhand, used a reaper accessories lute I had and attached to her side/hip under her arm. If you've followed my WIPs before you know my method of priming is to prime everything in black first and then go back over it dry-brushing with white primer to pick out details and highlights. If you have questions, please ask and I'll continue to work on these for the next week or so. I don't want to put more than like 5-6 hours total in each figure, just enough to have a nice tabletop plus paint-job and to make them represent their characters in the game. Thanks for following along and please enjoy the ride!
  14. Hi, I have been on the forum for quite a while but have never posted any pictures of my work before.....so I hope I'm doing this right :-) Just finished these 32mm metal miniatures for "Blood & Plunder" from Firelock Games . They are lovely metal figures & great fun to paint. These are various Commander figures.
  15. Here is another WIP on a set of Kickstarter models from Thunderchild Miniatures. This is the Gnarly Pilgrim set and I chose to paint 11 of them as a bit of a generic batch. I have painted the bases and then went through a four stage drybrush process with their habits. I can then look at each individual to finish them off. There are some colourful characters in this set of models, all showing some signs of radiation mutation out in the wasteland. Comments welcome.
  16. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spawnnpwn/girls-quest-party?ref=category_newest -Completely handmade 32mm little party miniatures -Cast in resin, unassembled and unpainted -Perfect for tabletop games like DeD
  17. Ever since I saw this mini I have wanted to paint it. I was given it as a gift. I hope that the giver has noticed the hours of pleasure I have enjoyed bringing this figure to life. Tough, and challenging, and yet SOO rewarding. The image of a dragon always appears in my mind associated with lava, smoke and treasure. So I decided to challenge myself (like the figure isn't enough), to create a lava base. Your comments and criticism are always welcomed, and sought after. Please leave me a comment ! So here is my interpretation of the Dragonkin Rogue. I also created a WIP while I was doing this. It is located here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69750-dragonkin-rogue-dsm7455/
  18. I have been itching to do this mini since I saw it in the catalogue, and then my son sent it to me ! Now that I have done a Tom Meier miniature again, I have earned the pleasure of painting this one. I did a slight mod when I was assembling it. I did not like the right arm so low to the ground, looked like he was running, I raised the arm up so that he looks like he is fighting. I think it has a bit more tension in it. Here is "The Dragonkin Rogue" prior to priming or adding brown liner. Just a couple of views. Some of these details are VERY shallow, almost hints. I love the folds in the materials. I am thinking of some rich, and deep blues in those shadows, and lighter blues for highlights. Beyond that, strap on your seat belts.
  19. Ever since I first saw this mini I have wanted to try my hand at painting it. AS usual, I will ignore what colors they have used in the original only view of the mini. I want something different, and I have a few ideas about how I want to base the Hawkman already. Just priming, and putting the coat of brown liner on it was a terrific intro into what can be done with this one. Love the folds (thinking rich shadows, and great highlights). That Hawks head.. hmmm... its a birds head to me, though at least a Raptor. This is going to be a fun bumpy ride.. Yee-Hah !!! Here is what he looks like to begin with. Jay
  20. Thanks to the onslaught of bad weather on the East Coast yesterday and today I managed to get the time in to finish the Cat Warlock. This was one nice surprise to work on. Little surprises all along the way. I especially enjoyed the chance to try my hand at some OSL from the torch on the cats face and body. Working the color scale using a color wheel also contributed to the sense of adventure and conquest. Please let me know how you like the Grumpy cat Warlock. Your input means a great deal to me. Here are a magilla of photos. Jay
  21. I have been working on this cat all week, having a blast. I'm not going to make this a "WORKING WIP", just figured I would post what I am doing when I get the chance. As usual, the anthropomorphic figures are highly entertaining. I continue pushing my envelope with each of these. This one has OSL going in on face, book, hand and left shoulder. Never thought I would be doing that actually. Fur on this one is quite the challenge ! Don't let that angelic little face fool you, he IS a warlock ! So here is what I have been working on !
  22. I have been working on this mini for over a week. Glue-up was a pain in the elf. I am working on solving that problem. It is finally pinned, primed, and covered with bown liner. I tend to use the brown liner as a discovery process. I find all the little interesting details in the miniature with that brown liner. The little leather pouch on his belt, has a cats face carved into it. I will try to find some way to display that. I tend towards being photo heavy, and I will try to document what I am doing (If I know). I have no idea what direction this mouse is going to go, except that right now he has pink ears, and will probably be a gray mouse. Once I get painting, all bets are off, I don't use anyone else's painting to copy, and I mix my own colors. So here I begin to paint the Mouse Warrior. Note that most of the broccoli base has been removed. I left the area around the tail, since it is to fragile to survive without the support. Edited to add: Please note that above You see a line of buttons (TAGS) that tell you about the mini. If you click on Jasonator it will do a search and post a link to every miniature I have in the WIP's and Show Off section. I recommend that EVERYONE uses this feature. Folks can see your previous work, and YOU can find what you did. It takes just a second to do, but benefits are amazing.
  23. I have been painting this over in the Show-Off Forum for the past two weeks. Here is my Mouse Warrior completed. If you want to see how I got to this stage of the miniature, check out the Mouse Warrior WIP by clicking my name tab below the title. I can honestly say that this was a total delight to paint, So many options, and some real challenges in there. All that fur and really fine details added to my enjoyment. I especially enjoy the decision making process of what can I do with this. So here he is. You comments/Criticism is always solicited, and greatly appreciated. Let me know what you think please. Jay
  24. Yeap, I painted another Frog. ROFL. A few words about the Frog Minstrel, Roll up your sleeves when you go to do this one. This is a really tough frog to work on. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this. I thought it would be straight on... NOPE it isn't. The choices are phenominal. Little fiddley bits show up in the dangest, most difficult of places. At one point I found it Boring ! How can a frog be boring. So I resolved that thinking of our good friend Malefactus. So Here is the Frog Minstrel on a lily Pad, with his two Conger Eels playing a bagpipe, and a horn! Yes, I did intend to make you laugh ! I can't stop giggling. I kept hearing a certain song in my head as I was painting this. Your comments and critiques are appreciated, and sought after. Here they are performing: "I'd like to be under the sea In an octopus's garden in the shade He'd let us in, knows where we've been In his octopus's garden in the shade"
  25. I recently received my pledge from Thunderchild Miniatures for their Wasteman game. This is a 32 /35 mm skirmish game where each side needs the minimum of 5 models to play a battle. The sculpt are quite simple but with a nice amount of character and in keeping with the quirky humour in both the rules and the artwork associated with the game. I started off with a batch of 9 models that were cleaned and based, these were then undercoated. The plan is to get a few set ready
