  1. Here is my interpretation of the Hawkman from Dark Sword Miniatures. Fun is an understatement, delightful and challenging miniature. I totally enjoyed the basing, and the challenge of sculpting in Greenstuff, I hope you like what I have done. Comments and criticism are always sought out. Only way we learn is from experience and each other. Here is the Hawkman protecting his cliff side nest.
  2. If anyone has noticed I was a bit busy for the past few weeks...chuckle. I started working on this miniature and became totally obsessed with it. Purple is not my easiest color to use, then combine it with the cat features, and that huge tail and you have some nice challenges. I decided I wanted to mount it as if it was giving a speech. That brought on a few more challenges. When you have a white robe, on a white marble floor, how do you hide the the clipped off part of the base that remains ? I had to work that one out, while setting up some kind of balcony/arbor/some type of platform to make it feel right, and look its best. Here is my attempt to pull all this together. I removed the broccoli that it came with. Your comments/criticism are always welcome. Please let me know what you think of the Cat Emperor !
  3. I completed this Mini Yesterday. If you want a fantastic challenge go for this one. The pose is so dynamic, and the possibilities are myriad. I added a new set of brushes to this mix; and was shocked by the difference in upgrading to a higher quality brush changed my painting. I know that many folks feel that an excellent base should be designed for each mini. Since it is winter; and most DSM mini's come with a base sculpt, I am just going to go with what they have done for right now. Once I can use my new jewelers saw outside, I'll learn how to removed that stuff, and peg them I have added some flocking to the base.. This has been a hoot to paint. As Always C/C accepted and appreciated. Here are some photos:
  4. I got the Horde Warrior Finished ! I really wish I had discovered this mini a while ago. What a treat it has been to do. No constraints, just have fun, wing it, mix colors, and see what you can do! This has been very liberating, and a teaching mini as well. I used Liquid water to make him look like he is standing in a huge mud puddle . So here are a pile of photos: As Always, your comment and criticism are appreciated and solicited. (Edited to correct terrible English).
